WASTE GRAPE POMACE FOR FOOD PACKAGING
The use of waste wine byproducts in packaging manufacture can offer an alternative to plastic pollution. Thus, grape pomace possesses properties that could improve the performance of plastic materials. In this work, the conditioning of grape pomace was studied for the purpose of adding PLA films. Resveratrol was extracted from grape pomace, which was then incorporated into PLA films to enhance their performance. The obtained biopolymers were characterized by determining the mechanical, thermal, and structural properties. The tensile strength of the composites has similar values for the composite with pomace and those with resveratrol, and a similar flexibility of the analyzed samples. The thermal stability of the pomace waste and the composites to which pomace and resveratrol were added was high. DSC tests of PLA-based composites revealed two endothermic peaks at temperatures above 120 °C, probably caused by the melting of amorphous structures. Surface examination indicated a relatively uniform distribution of pomace or resveratrol particles in the polymer matrix, and surface roughness parameters calculated by atomic force microscopy indicated a low to moderate level of roughness, with higher values for pomace-containing films than for resveratrol-based ones, highlighting the more hydrophilic nature of pomace-containing films compared to resveratrol-based ones
A NEW HPLC METHOD APPROACH FOR THE QUANTIFICATION OF QUERCETIN IN SEVEN DIFFERENT ANATOLIAN PLANT EXTRACTS
The use of natural antioxidants, especially phenolic compounds derived from foods and plants, has been extensively investigated in the context of preventive and therapeutic medicine. Quercetin, a flavonoid of the flavonol class, exhibits multiple health-promoting properties, including antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antifungal activities. The present study aimed to quantify quercetin in seven plant species native to Türkiye: Zosima absinthifolia, Anarrhinum orientale, Fumaria asepala, Ferulago stellata, Salvia pseudeuphratica, Rhabdosciadium microcalycinum, and Diplotaenia cachrydifolia. A novel reversed-phase HPLC-DAD method was developed for the determination of quercetin in these plant extracts and subsequently validated in accordance with ICH guidelines. The method demonstrated linearity over the concentration range of 0.4–1.2 µg/mL (r² > 0.999), with mean recovery values ranging from 96.5% to 98.3%. All validation parameters were evaluated and confirmed in accordance with ICH guidelines, demonstrating the method\u27s reliability for quantifying quercetin in plant matrices

On some univalence criteria for certain integral operators
For analytic functions in the open unit disk, we define new general integral operators. The aim of this paper is to study these new operators and related univalence criteria. First of all, we recall some classes of functions defined on the unit disk. We will use functions from these classes to construct our integral operators. Secondly, we recall the univalence criteria that we use in the proofs of our results. Finally, we use the univalence criteria to establish univalence conditions related to our general integral operators.

The Correspondence: The Order of Heavens and the Order of the Earth
This epistemological paper may be thought of as a joke. Still, its aim is serious enough: to show the meanings of an almost taboo topic taken in its double metaphorical sense, indicated here by capital letters: relations between the Heaven(s) and the Earth. These meanings appear as a result of a “multi-disciplinary” philosophical approach that, far from confusing us, emphasises, first of all, the different criteria of approaching the relationship between the two “types” of order mentioned in the title. These criteria are metaphysical, epistemological, logical, linguistic, and historical. However, after shedding light on the outlooks these criteria open, the meanings, according to their common metaphorical understanding, appear to be more critical
FOUCAULT AND GOFFMAN. THE SHADOW AND THE MATTER OF DISCIPLINE IN THE UNIVERSE OF A PSYCHIATRIC INSTITUTION
This paper focuses on the mechanisms of power and discipline that exist within a psychiatric institution in Transylvania, Romania. This is done through combining the theoretical perspectives of Michel Foucault and of Erving Goffman. While Foucault looks at power as the result of internalization through disciplinary mechanisms and discourses, Goffman puts emphasis on the micro-interactions and spatial arrangement that shape the institution. By bringing these two lines of thought together, this study tries to construct an analytical tool that reveals how surveillance, normalization and hierarchization operate concomitantly at structural and interpersonal levels. Using qualitative methods, more precisely participant observation, formal and informal interviews, the research explores patients’ daily lives, the dynamics between individuals (be it staff or patient), the regulation of space and the interdependence of written and unwritten rules. It is suggested that institutional power is exercised not only through correction or direct surveillance but also through strategies and those strategies are built around visibility, divestment of space, documentation and collective self-monitoring. This, in turn, generates docile but truncated forms of subjectivity. The study also highlights the continuous existence of disciplinary strategies despite there being ongoing processes of deinstitutionalization, therefore showing how this psychiatric institution creates regulated, individualized and hierarchized existences
Molecular detection of enterotoxin genes (sea and sec) in Staphylococcus aureus isolated from dairy products in Karaj, Alborz, Iran
Staphylococcus aureus, a significant bacterial agent of food poisoning, particularly the strains producing enterotoxins, is a topic of paramount importance. The prevalence of these enterotoxins in the dairy industry, especially in regions like Karaj city, Alborz province, Iran, with its numerous industrial and traditional dairy companies, is a matter of great concern for public health. This study aims to evaluate the frequency of sea and sec genes among dairy products in Karaj, Iran. We collected 100 samples of industrial and traditional dairy products, including 25 samples of pasteurized milk, 25 samples of pasteurized ice cream, 25 samples of raw milk, and 25 samples of traditionally made ice cream, throughout Karaj, then transferred them into the laboratory, then cultured on the media containing mannitol salt agar and Brad Parker agar. Second, enzymatic tests, such as catalase and coagulase tests and biochemical and bacterial assessments, including mannitol fermentation and Gram staining methods, were employed to detect S. aureus contamination. Besides, the presence of sea and sec genes was assessed by PCR. Finally, the data were statistically analyzed using SPSS software. The results demonstrated that enzymatic and biochemical methods could detect 54 contaminated samples by S. aureus among 100 samples. However, as a reliable molecular technique, PCR detected 57 S. aureus-contaminated samples among all the tested samples. Moreover, it is indicated that 12 and 6 PCR-positive samples contained enterotoxin A and C types, respectively. In brief, the huge amounts of dairy products in Karaj are significantly contaminated by enterotoxin-producing strains of S. aureus, especially type A and C.

Analysis of Diabetic Footballers Blood Sugar Levels
Diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases of our time. (Bakó, 2022) Nowadays 64 million people are diagnosed with diabetes and this number is rising with high tendency. (WHO, 2024) Furthermore lots of people do not know about their diabetes, so this number is not the exact one, it is a lot higher. In Hungary 1,2 million people were diagnosed with diabetes and a bit more of 39.000 people got type one diabetes. (Hungarian Government, 2024) We know about some methods to keep these people healthy and one of them is to do some exercise but also must pay attention to eat healthy and the most important one is the insulin supplement. Luckily, we got some tools like Continuous Glucose Monitoring sensors (CGM), insulin pumps which help us to control diabetes easier. Football has many effects on blood sugar levels. In our research we investigate these. The effects of a training session or a match on the blood sugar levels. Our hypotheses are to watch the differences of training sessions and matches, and the athletes thinking of their performance, in particular their impact of diabetes. From our three hypotheses only one was true, but I have to mention that our population was only ten people, therefore, if we got a chance to examine a bigger population maybe we would have got different results. Because of the rise of this disease in the future we can work with a lot more diabetic athletes in this sport like Nacho Fernandez, former Real Madrid defender (Somfai, 2018). This research can be useful for many coaches and also can help to prepare to work with diabetic players.

L’ESTHÉTIQUE DU QUOTIDIEN : PARADIGME DE L’ÉCRITURE DU SOI DANS PSYCHOPOMPE D’AMÉLIE NOTHOMB
The Aesthetics of Everyday Life: A Paradigm of Self-Writing in Psychopompe by Amélie Nothomb. Written in the first person, autobiography, conditioned by the autobiographical pact, does not appear, at a first glance, to be particularly flexible; autofiction, which allows for a certain liberation of the self, is also limited from this point of view, often consisting in a seemingly unfinished experiment, leaving the reader to want more. However, the territory of self-writing now offers fresh interpretive perspectives, thanks to the emergence of notions such as transbiography and autotheory. These allow us to better scrutinize the close links between the intimate and the “extimate”, questioning the interactions between the daily life of the narrative self and the factors that surround it: personal experiences, experiments, and memory locate the self in its contemporaneity through processes of trial and error. Singularity and everyday life break away from the banal and create an aesthetic experience of the uninhibited I, especially when it comes to story and narrative, thus allowing for a literature of the everyday. Through a reading of Amélie Nothomb’s Psychopompe, our aim is to show that the aesthetics of everyday life is a paradigm of feminine self-writing, combining transbiography and autotheory to explore the genesis of the writer and the text.
