APPROACHING PODCASTS AS A LEARNING TOOL FOR IMPROVING LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES
Get PDFThis article aims to analyze how team leadership competencies can be developed and optimized through a non-formal learning tool: podcasts. The study takes as its starting point the podcast series Teamology, which explores current topics related to team functioning, the role of the leader, decision-making, conflict management and adaptability in complex organizational contexts. In an era marked by uncertainty, remote work and cultural diversity, leaders need to adopt flexible practices and acquire accessible, applicable and authentic learning sources.
The paper starts from the premise that podcasts can become a valuable educational resource for developing leadership competencies, by exposing listeners to real experiences, diverse perspectives and concrete solutions. From a methodological viewpoint, the research is qualitative and is based on the content analysis of eight representative episodes of the Teamology series, selected on the basis of thematic criteria. The analysis aimed to extract and interpret the essential team leadership competencies, the strategies presented by the guests and how they can be applied in practice, within modern teams.
The results highlight that podcasts provide an authentic and accessible narrative framework that facilitates learning through reflection, emotional connection and immediate applicability. Recurring themes, such as clear communication, psychological safety, trust and distributed leadership, are presented in a practical, easy to understand and adaptable way to various contexts. The paper thus highlights the value of podcasts as a support in the formation of effective leaders and offers recommendations for their use in educational and organizational environments.

Some Indispensable Theological Questions about Darwin’s Work and Testimony
Get PDFThe author gives a summary based on his habilitation thesis and other works on the origin of Darwin’s theory of evolution and the theological questions raised by it. Even if the assumed mechanism of the origin of living beings (and of life) has changed much since the publishing of the Origin (1859), the basic theological questions must always be asked anew. Darwin himself was not an atheist but an agnostic, more or less deist according to his own confession. He could not fully explain away the Creator but tried to minimize his role because of the evil in nature, i.e. the problem of theodicy. Ironically, even if certain questions raised by the theory/doctrine of evolution seem quite logical and obvious, they are often neglected or omitted in theological works on creation. It is not enough to say that creation and evolution are compatible because the fact of creation and the method of creation should be discerned: one is a religious belief/testimony and the other a scientific theory. The real question is whether and how the supernatural can be detected. To believe in the resurrection of Christ and humans has any meaning only on condition that this present life subject to death is of supernatural origin without any alternative. The whole Scripture teaches this definitely: “Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him” (John 1:3). Christian creation faith must be qualitatively different from “attaching” the Creator to the contemporary majority hypothesis of origin or “fitting” him into its framework. Get PDFReflection as a Protective Factor in the Vocation of Religious Education Teachers. One of the greatest challenges of teaching is that while educators nurture and support others, their own mental well-being is often neglected. This is particularly true for religious education teachers, whose vocation extends beyond professional duties to embrace spiritual and pastoral responsibilities. The complex interplay of professional expectations, authentic witness, and vocational commitment can create significant pressure. Sustaining personal resilience therefore requires special attention to protective personality traits that buffer stress and foster coping. Among these are resourcefulness, resilience, self-efficacy, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence, all of which contribute to well-being, effectiveness, and burnout prevention. This study explores how self-reflection fosters the development of such traits and examines concrete reflective techniques that target specific capacities. Particular emphasis is placed on prayer as a form of reflective practice: in dialogue with God, the believer simultaneously engages in dialogue with the self, reviewing thoughts, desires, guilt, and gratitude. In Protestant tradition, confessional prayer and examination of conscience highlight the believer’s responsibility to reflect before God, trusting in grace. Reflection thus emerges as a conscious cognitive-emotional process that not only supports teachers’ resilience and inner resources but also offers spiritual depth. It proves to be a vital protective factor in maintaining the personal, professional, and spiritual balance of religious education teachers

Get PDF The Path to the Source: The Natural History of Prayer. In today’s fast-paced world, mental strain has become increasingly prevalent as a consequence of the constant use of digital devices. Within this context, it has become progressively more difficult to preserve or to establish the framework necessary for a life of prayer. This study seeks to rediscover the path leading back to the Source of our lives by exploring the nature and meaning of prayer. The paper examines both the phenomenology and theology of prayer, distinguishing between two contrasting attitudes: one in which a person attempts to exercise power over God and another in which the individual willingly submits to the power of God. The Bible and Christian theology bear witness to the rich diversity of prayer, often explained by authors through the lines of the Heavenly Father. Richard Foster identifies three movements of prayer: moving inward – seeking the transformation we need; moving upward – seeking the intimacy we long for; moving outward – seeking the ministry to which we are called. Reflecting on the practice of God’s presence, the study also considers the significance and interpretation of revelation. While the Bible remains the ultimate measure of all revelation, it is essential to recognize that God may manifest His presence in various ways. Finally, by engaging with the classical steps of Lectio Divina, the paper explores practical dimensions of renewing the life of prayer: cultivating silence, reading the Scripture, meditating on the Word, contemplating in God’s presence, and embodying divine truth through acts of service – thus, participating in the incarnational movement to which God invites us in prayer

Get PDFReflections on the Situation of the Church in the Social, Political, and Religious Context of Europe in the 17th–19th Centuries. The study highlights the difficult situation of the Catholic Church after the Peace of Westphalia (1648) with the end of religious military conflicts in Europe. This marked the beginning of the era of confessions and French hegemony, which lasted until 1715. This era was also known as the era of confessional absolutism, represented by the connection between the state and the Church. It should be noted that the unity between Church and State was not questioned. The State provided the Church with the coercive means at its disposal to obtain recognition of religion and respect for its practice.

Get PDFFaith and Action in the Light of Existential Decisions. Faith is man’s response to Christian Revelation. It involves rational knowledge, hermeneutical understanding, and is followed by an existential decision. Becoming a foundational element of a Weltanschauung, faith transcends theoretical aspects and becomes the motivational engine of acts that are free, conscious, and endowed with moral value. From the analysis of the pattern of conversion and the transformation of faith in the first Patriarch, Abraham, as well as in the son of obedience to faith, Isaac, we arrive at a delimitation between what is normal and what is pathological, between balance and ideological extremism, and even at the question of motivation in the absence or rejection of God, in the context of atheism.

EFFICIENCY ANALYSIS OF SOME ZEOLITE MEDIA IN THE TREATMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL WASTEWATER IN AGRO-ZOOTECHNICAL UNITS
Get PDFThe present study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of two filtration media—Rupea natural zeolite (ZNR) and Turbidex—in reducing the pollutant load of wastewater from agro-zootechnical units. Both media were tested under identical operational conditions to explore their potential for sustainable wastewater valorization with minimal environmental impact. Results showed that ZNR exhibited higher adsorption rates for nitrites, nitrates, and ammonium, whereas Turbidex achieved greater retention for COD, total suspended solids (TSS), and turbidity. Filtration through both zeolitic media effectively reduced microbial loads, as indicated by the elimination of coliform bacteria and enterococci, along with a significant decrease in heterotrophic plate counts at 22°C and 37°C. These findings demonstrate the potential of small-scale zeolite filtration systems as eco-friendly solutions for agro - zootechnical wastewater treatment
