Relationship between family functioning, differentiation of self and anxiety in Spanish young adults
Objectives
In the present study, the relationship between family functioning, differentiation of self and trait anxiety was examined. In addition, differences in trait anxiety and differentiation of self according to sex were studied. It was also checked whether family functioning predicted the achieved degree of differentiation of self, and whether family functioning and differentiation of self predicted the level of trait anxiety. Finally, it was analyzed whether the level of differentiation of self mediated the relationship between family functioning and trait anxiety.
Methods
The study involved 185 Spanish participants, aged between 18 and 56 years and the scales used were the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale-20Esp (FACES-20Esp), the Differentiation of Self Scale (EDS) and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI).
Results
The results indicated that family functioning was related to differentiation of self and trait anxiety, and that differentiation of self was related to trait anxiety. In addition, according to sex, differences were found in the degree of differentiation of self and in the I Position, with a higher score for men, as well as in Emotional Reactivity and trait anxiety, with higher scores or women. It was also observed that family functioning predicted the level of differentiation of self, and that differentiation of self and family functioning predicted trait anxiety. Finally, it was found that the relationship between family functioning and trait anxiety was partially
mediated by differentiation of self.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Y para ello unos sólidos principios éticos son esencialesThe return to humanism, which we believe should be promoted in the post-pandemic, should not mean a renunciation of the advances that AI offers us, but, rather, on the contrary, incorporating them as essential instruments for improving our lives, but without falling asleep. of an invulnerability based on the belief that the solution for everything lay in science and technology. Card games: a complementary tool for learning mathematics
When teaching mathematics, it is important to offer a variety of fun, engaging, and interesting activities that promote the students’ interaction, capture their interest, and encourage their participation. This is so much so that many countries are now incorporating these types of activities into their curricula. Nowadays, it is well-known that games and mathematics are increasingly becoming more intertwined. Board games in general (particularly card games) make use of strategies and in many cases, concepts that are undoubtedly related to the field of mathematics. Games are one of the most interesting resources that can be used in a classroom at all levels. They promote student engagement, which increases if the game is known and is familiar to the students. This can be seen with the games presented in this work. These games are played with cards and are based on already existing well-known games. The most enriching aspect of using games in mathematics lessons can not only be found in the playing of the games themselves but also in the series of events that should always follow: an analysis of the resolution processes, a discussion about the solutions and the results, etc. It is not just a question of playing, but of using the game as a didactic resource. The inclusion of games must be done following some basic guidelines, which favor the success of their use in the classroom. Given the above, why not introduce them naturally into classes? It seems evident that they can be an effective tool to engage, motivate, and reinforce certain concepts. In this article, we analyze two card games that were invented and created by the work’s authors and which are effective in the meaningful learning of mathematics. These games specifically focus on the study of real-valued functions of real variables; a topic which is included in high school syllabi and in that first-year courses studied during technical degrees. They are considered an adequate resource for learning this part of mathematics. They are based on existing games on the market and therefore can be easy for students to get the hang of. The concepts from these games have been reworked and adapted to the topic in question. The games have been called: - Sobrevivefun - Lleva cartas matemático These games are strategy-based, that is, the players must think and look for the best solutions and ways to win. What’s more, the strategies used should be supported by the knowledge that students already have about real-valued functions of real variables. With each game, the topic’s concepts are reinforced and strengthened. Games can serve as a tool for reminding and strengthening a wide variety of mathematical concepts. This can be also beneficial for many other subjects where the cards can be adapted to the topic, but the main concepts from the games are kept the same. Therefore, they can be useful to other teachers who can use them according to their needs and the subjects they teach. We believe that the games proposed fulfill the requirements that games must meet in order to be effective as didactic tools: - To have simple rules and be brief. - To be attractive in presentation and development. - To not be a game of chance. - To be a game that the students know and that can be "mathematized".info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
After the celebration of the Synod of the Bishops for the Family, this volumen makes a balance of the canonical marriage sistem and proposes the suitability of some punctual reforms of the legal text, in order to reflect the Conciliar anthropology and theology more adequately.info:eu-repo/semantics/updatedVersio

Comments on the link between unilateral divorce and women's welfare
This paper studies whether unilateral divorce improves women's welfare. First, it builds a simple theoretical model that finds that women are better off under unilateral divorce than under mutual consent. Second, it explores empirically whether unilateral divorce affects the amount of time women devote to three different activities that might be seen as proxies of their level of welfare, such as, housework, leisure and relaxing activities, and personal care. We find causal evidence suggesting that unilateral divorce reduces housework carried out by women, while it increases their amount of time devoted to leisure and relaxing activities, and personal care. Further results suggest these changes are not due to improvements in gender equality per se. Moreover, we find that the decrease in housework and the increment in leisure and relaxing activities are permanent, whereas the increase in personal care is temporary. These findings are important from a policy perspective to motivate the introduction of unilateral divorce laws.info:eu-repo/semantics/draf
