Desafiando los estudios convencionales sobre dominación colonial, el libro examina el proceso ideológico cuyo objetivo es la dominación de la mente. Esa segunda colonización concibe el colonialismo como un campo de batalla cultural entre las formas de conocimiento tradicionales autóctonas y el carácter universalista de la modernidad occidental. Un fenómeno más complejo y determinante que la colonización física, porque sobrevive a los imperios, interiorizado en la forma de pensar, los valores y las visiones de la sociedad poscolonial. Challenging conventional studies regarding colonial domination, the book examines the ideological process which goal is the domination of the mind. This second coloniasation conceives colonialism as a cultural battleground between traditional forms of knowledge and the universalist character of Western modernity. A more complex and crucial phenomenon than physical colonialism, as it survives empires, interiorised in the form of thinking, values and visions of the postcolonial society.

On the Association between Prostitution Regulation and Rape
Full text linkThis paper proposes a theoretical model that connects rape and prostitution taking
into account the substitutive relationship between the two recently documented in the
economic literature. First, it provides a theoretical underpinning of the close connection
between rape and the prostitution market (i.e. supply and demand). Second, it
studies the effects of the most popular prostitution regulations on rape. Using legalized
prostitution as a benchmark, this paper finds that both the Nordic and Dutch
model increase rape, being the effect of the former larger than that of the latter. Estimated
correlations using a panel data of European countries offer suggestive evidence

The Impact of Evidence-Based Dialogic Training of Special Education Teachers on the Creation of More Inclusive and Interactive Learning Environments
No full textArtículos en revistasEn el contexto internacional de un progreso hacia sistemas y prácticas educativos más inclusivos, el papel de los docentes de educación especial se está transformando. Desde una perspectiva inclusiva, estos profesionales apoyan cada vez más a los estudiantes y a sus profesores en el aula ordinaria, evitando la segregación. Sin embargo, los maestros de educación especial a menudo luchan por llegar y apoyar a todos los estudiantes con necesidades especiales y a sus maestros para brindar una educación inclusiva de calidad. Por esta razón, aún se necesita más investigación sobre estrategias de capacitación en servicio para la inclusión de estudiantes con necesidades especiales que se traduzcan efectivamente en prácticas escolares basadas en evidencia que mejoren la educación de todos los estudiantes. En este artículo se analiza el impacto de dos programas de formación dialógica basados en evidencias de docentes de Educación Especial que trabajan en escuelas ordinarias llevados a cabo en México durante el año escolar 2018-2019. A través de entrevistas en profundidad a los participantes, se identificó cómo, luego de la capacitación, los docentes fundamentaron cada vez más sus acciones en la evidencia científica y promovieron ambientes de aprendizaje interactivos que mejoraron la inclusión educativa de sus estudiantes con necesidades especiales. Esta formación también se convirtió en el escenario para poner a disposición de otros estudiantes sin necesidades especiales acciones educativas basadas en evidencias, mejorando la calidad de la educación brindada a todos los estudiantes.In the international context of a progress toward more inclusive educational systems and practices, the role of Special Education teachers is being transformed. From an inclusive perspective, these professionals increasingly support students and their teachers in the mainstream classroom, avoiding segregation. However, Special Education teachers often struggle to reach and support all students with special needs and their teachers to provide quality inclusive education. For this reason, more research is still needed on in-service training strategies for the inclusion of students with special needs that effectively translate into evidence-based school practices that improve the education of all students. This article analyses the impact of two evidence-based dialogic training programs of Special Education teachers working in mainstream schools carried out in Mexico during the 2018–2019 school year. Through in-depth interviews with participants, it was identified how, after the training, teachers increasingly grounded their actions on scientific evidence and promoted interactive learning environments that improved the educational inclusion of their students with special needs. This training also became the venue to make evidence-based educational actions available to other students without special needs, improving the quality of education provided to all students.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
