ECOLOGICAL ANALYSIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF DEW SIZE AND TYPES IN NATURAL ECOSYSTEMS

Objective: Dew is a significant natural phenomenon in wild ecosystems, serving as an indicator of environmental conditions and weather changes. However, classification of dew based on size remains unclear and has not been extensively studied systematically. This study aims to classify dew types by size and describe appearance patterns of each type in the wild. Method: This study employs a qualitative phenomenological research approach. Results:  Dew in the wild can be classified as large dew (>4.1 mm), small dew (1–4 mm), sand dew (0.5–0.9 mm), and fine dew (<0.4 mm). Large dew does not appear daily but commonly occurs after drizzles or heavy rain of varying duration. Small dew is present daily with amounts varying according to environmental conditions. Sand dew occasionally appears, mainly adhering to green grass leaf edges and can serve as an indicator of heat followed by rainfall. Sand dew sizes range from 0.5 to 0.9 mm with an average of 50 to 120 droplets per grass leaf. Dew classification by size can be used as a tool to monitor environmental conditions in the wild. The presence of sand dew on green grass leaves has potential as a visually observable environmental indicator.  Novelty: This study uniquely identifies four distinct dew categories large dew, small dew, sand dew, and fine dew and correlates their presence with environmental and weather conditions

Objective: At PT. XYZ often experiences several work accidents which result in large losses due to weak existing risk management. Frequent work accidents include employees being crushed by rotting buildings, as well as problems arising from inadequate waste disposal and waste burning which causes smoke to enter the production area and become a big problem for production activities. Method: The method used in this research is HIRARC which is used to determine the highest risk and also Bow Tie Analysis which is used as an appropriate risk mitigation tool. Results:  The results of this research show that one of the appropriate mitigation methods is to always wear complete personal protective equipment when working and carry out strict supervision and control of K3. Novelty: One of the long-term recommendations that can be applied to company risk mitigation is the creation of official K3 rules that can be updated regularly

Objective: This study aims to analyze the types of defects in the packaging process of creamer products and propose improvements for the company based on data processing results. Method: The analysis utilizes a sigma index calculation supported by tools such as Pareto diagrams, fishbone diagrams for cause-and-effect evaluation, and failure tree diagrams to identify the root causes. The 5Whys method is also employed to analyze the underlying issues. Results: The findings indicate that while productivity remains stable, several factors contributing to a high percentage of packaging defects require evaluation and optimization. The analysis highlights specific areas for improvement in the packaging process. Novelty: This study introduces a comprehensive approach combining statistical tools and root cause analysis to optimize the packaging process in the creamer production industry, offering valuable insights for improving operational efficiency
