THE EFFECT OF UREA FERTILIZER LOADED ON HYDROGEL COMPOUNDS PREPARED FROM GELATIN IN INCREASING NITROGEN AVAILABILITY AND REDUCING AMMONIA VOLATILIZATION IN SOIL
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effect of urea fertilizer encapsulated with hydrogel compounds prepared from gelatin on increasing nitrogen availability and reducing ammonia volatilization in soil. Method: A laboratory experiment was conducted using urea fertilizer coated with hydrogel composites at different encapsulation ratios of gelatin to sodium alginate (1:1, 1:2, and 2:1), designated as G1, G2, and G3, respectively. The hydrogels were crosslinked with 7% calcium chloride (CaCl₂) and applied to two soil types, clay loam and sandy loam, at a nitrogen rate of 1000 mg N kg⁻¹ soil. The samples were maintained at field capacity and incubated for 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 20, and 30 days, during which ammonia volatilization and available nitrogen were measured. Results: The results demonstrated that urea encapsulated with hydrogel compounds significantly reduced ammonia volatilization and enhanced nitrogen availability compared to uncoated urea. Among the treatments, the 2:1 ratio (G3) showed superior performance in minimizing nitrogen losses and improving soil nitrogen retention. Novelty: This study introduces an innovative approach to nitrogen management through hydrogel-based encapsulation, highlighting its potential to improve fertilizer efficiency and mitigate environmental impacts associated with ammonia volatilization

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LONG WORK DURATION PER DAY AND THE RISK OF NON SPECIFIC LOW BACK PAIN IN ONLINE MOTORCYLE TAXI DRIVERS
Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between the duration of work per day with the risk of non-specific low back pain in online motorcycle taxi drivers. Method: The type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach which will be carried out in January 2024. The respondents in the study were online motorcycle taxi riders in the Sidoarjo area with a sample of 97 respondents using Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Results: Based on the results of a survey that has been conducted on the working hours of online motorcycle taxi drivers, the majority of respondents in this study work 7 to 9 hours per day with a maximum number of 35 people, and working hours ≤ 10 hours per day, p-value 0.001 < (0.00). Shows there is a relationship between the duration of work and the risk of non-specific Low Back Pain. Novelty: This study highlights the occupational health risks specific to online motorcycle taxi drivers in the Sidoarjo area, which has not been extensively explored in prior research, particularly concerning non-specific low back pain associated with daily working duration
ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENCES IN TRIGLYCERIDE LEVELS BETWEEN TOBACCO SMOKERS AND ELECTRIC SMOKERS IN STUDENTS (ORMAWA) OF MUHAMMADIYAH UNIVERSITY OF SIDOARJO
Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the differences in triglyceride levels between tobacco smokers and e-smokers among students (ORMAWA) at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Method: The design used in this research was quantitative with experimental tests using a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study included all male Ormawa students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo with the habit of smoking tobacco and e-smoking, totaling 532 students, with a sample size of 16 tobacco smokers and 16 e-smokers. The sampling method used is Quota non-probability sampling. This research was conducted at the hospital. Bhayangkara Pusdik Sabhara Porong in August 2024. The samples in the study were read using a DIALAB brand autolyzer with the colorimetric enzymatic method (GPO-PAP). Data from examination of triglyceride levels were analyzed statistically using the t-Independent test. Results: The results showed that there was no significant difference, namely 0.055 (p<0.05) between tobacco smokers and electronic smokers among students (Ormawa) at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Novelty: This study provides comparative data on triglyceride levels between tobacco and electronic cigarette users within a specific university student organization population, which has not been widely studied in the Indonesian context

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION IN CENTRAL ASIA PERSPECTIVE IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Objective: The problem of the research was that Central Asia has strategic elements that helped to create a hidden conflict between international powers for the sake of the limit of influence and domination. Method: The research likely used qualitative political analysis through a geopolitical lens, examining post-9/11 developments, international agreements, and regional dynamics involving the United States, European Union, and Russia. Results: The geopolitical movement of the United States, the European Union and Russia intensified after the events of September 11, 2001 , and the competition between these forces increased to strengthen their political, economic and military influence, in light of the republics with fragile political, economic and military pillars that helped to attract international powers under the pretext of helping countries and overcoming the challenges they face. Therefore, multiple agreements were concluded that contributed to penetrating Central Asia, which raised the ire of Russia, which considered it a threat to Russian national security and fear of being surrounded and besieged by these countries and Western forces and their role in international relations. Novelty: Central Asia represents a strategic and geopolitical importance, due to its location and resources in the vital field of Eurasia , which is a buffer zone between Asian and regional powers, and the region represents a pivotal intersection point for international powers
LITERATURE ANALYSIS ON HIGH SCHOOL CHEMISTRY PRACTICUM METHODS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF VIDEO-BASED DEMONSTRATION APPROACH AND STUDENT WORKSHEETS IN THE FORMATION OF SCIENTIFIC ATTITUDES
Objective: The study aims to evaluate the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of each approach, as well as identify their impact on the development of students' scientific attitudes, such as curiosity, rigor, critical thinking, and scientific responsibility. Method: This study is a literature analysis that compares two approaches in chemistry practicum at the high school level, namely video-based demonstrations and the use of Student Worksheets (LKS), in relation to the formation of scientific attitudes. Results: The analysis showed that the video approach excelled in visualization and learning efficiency, while the LKS was more effective in developing procedural skills and scientific attitudes based on hands-on experience. The integration of the two approaches is considered capable of creating a holistic learning experience, especially in the context of inquiry-based learning. This research also emphasizes the importance of the teacher's role as a facilitator in managing adaptive practicum, as well as the need for instructional design that encourages students' independent reflection and exploration. Novelty: These findings are expected to be the basis for the development of innovative and contextualized chemistry learning methods, as well as supporting educational policies that lead to more effective and meaningful science learning
