Comparison of effectiveness of Mulligan mobilization technique and cervical stabilization training in patients with chronic neck pain: a single-blinded randomized controlled trial Wirksamkeit der Mulligan-Mobilisierungstechnik und des zervikalen Stabilisierungstrainings bei Patienten mit chronischen Nackenschmerzen: eine einfach verblindete randomisierte kontrollierte Studie
Purpose The purpose of the current study was to compare the effectiveness of Mulligan mobilization technique (MMT) and cervical stabilization training (CST) in patients with chronic neck pain. Methods Thirty-six patients with chronic neck pain were randomly assigned to three groups as control, MMT, and CST groups. In the current study, pain intensity, range of motion (ROM), proprioception, head posture, deep neck flexor (DNF) muscle endurance, disability level, and neck awareness were evaluated as outcome measures. Results All variables showed statistically significant changes following treatment in all groups. MMT and CST were found to be more effective than home exercise regimen (control group) in pain intensity (p = 0.001), DNF muscle endurance (p = 0.0001), and disability level (p = 0.007) but they were not superior to each other. MMT was found to be more effective in increasing ROM (p = 0.0001) and neck awareness (p = 0.018). Also, CST was found to be more effective in improving head posture (p = 0.0001) and proprioception (p = 0.001). Conclusion The study indicated MMT was more effective in increasing ROM and neck awareness, and the CST was more effective in improving head posture and proprioception. Comprehensive perspective can be acquired for health professionals in this field to select the appropriate rehabilitation approaches for patients with chronic neck pain thanks to our results
The Impact of Reading Motivation on Reading Anxiety and Attitude in Secondary School Students: Reading Anxiety as a Mediator
This study employs a novel approach to investigate the effects of reading anxiety on middle school students’ reading motivation and attitudes, along with the mediating impact of reading anxiety on these two variables. Utilizing a structural equation modeling framework, we aimed to understand the relationships among these variables and developed hypotheses. The study was conducted with 401 middle school students aged between 11 and 14 in Turkey. Data were collected using reliable and valid scales to measure anxiety, motivation, and attitudes toward reading. After confirming the reliability and validity of these scales, we revealed the direct and indirect relationships between the variables. In the SEM model, reading motivation and anxiety explained 71% of the variance in reading attitude, indicating that the model has strong explanatory power. The results indicate a negative correlation between students’ reading motivation and their reading anxiety, meaning that as reading anxiety decreases, reading motivation increases. Additionally, it was discovered that students’ reading anxiety negatively impacts their reading attitudes. Another finding shows that as students’ reading motivation increases, their reading attitudes also improve. Finally, reading anxiety was found to play a critical mediating role in the relationship between reading motivation and attitudes. This unique approach and the resulting findings enhance our understanding of the complex dynamics surrounding reading anxiety, motivation, and attitudes in middle school students

Synthesis, characterization, and determination of the catalytic roles of tungsten (VI) oxide-supported Pd (0) nanoparticles in the reduction of nitroaromatic pollutants
One of the most important approaches for industrial and environmental catalytic applications is to develop a promising, simple, and effective method. Toxic organic pollutants in wastewater, such as nitroaromatic contaminants, have become a global issue, threatening aquatic life and obstructing essential elements required for the survival of living organisms. In this study, a palladium pre-catalyst supported on tungsten (VI) oxide (Pd2+/WO3) was prepared with a 2 % metal loading using a simple and conventional wet impregnation method. The efficiency of this pre-catalyst was investigated for the reduction of nitroaromatic pollutants (2-nitrophenol (2-NP), 4-nitrophenol (4-NP), and 2,4-dinitrophenol (2,4-DNP)) into their corresponding aminophenol compounds in the presence of an excess amount of NaBH4 as the reducing agent. Characterization techniques such as ICP-OES, XRD, SEM, SEM/EDX, TEM, and XPS analysis revealed that Pd (0) nanoparticles were well-dispersed on the WO3 support, with an average particle size of 2.2 ± 0.1 nm. The catalytic activities of Pd (0) nanoparticles for the reduction of nitroaromatic pollutants to aminophenols in the presence of NaBH4 were determined in terms of initial TOF, calculated as 127.2 min−1 for 2-NP, 109.4 min−1 for 4-NP, and 353.1 min−1 for 2,4-DNP. The results demonstrated that the Pd/WO3 nanocatalyst exhibited excellent catalytic efficiency and stability (>85 %) even after five catalytic cycles in the reduction of nitroaromatic pollutants. Considering both the simple preparation process and the effective catalytic reduction of nitroaromatic pollutants, this study presents a great opportunity for the practical application of the Pd/WO3 nanocatalyst in wastewater treatment

This study examines the transformation of Keloğlan, a prominent character in Turkish folk narratives, through the lens of transmedia storytelling within electronic-digital children’s literature. From comic books and 1970s films featuring Rüştü Asyalı to today’s YouTube-based animated series, Keloğlan has undergone a significant media evolution. Digitalization has diversified the character’s narrative formats and platforms, including mobile applications, digital games, and interactive online content. This transformation reflects not only the changing dynamics of storytelling but also new pedagogical and cultural potentials in digital cultural transmission. The research analyzes the presentation of Keloğlan across these platforms, focusing on narrative continuity, character stability, cultural value transmission, and audience interaction. Additionally, Nasreddin Hoca, another iconic folk figure, is briefly considered for comparative purposes to reveal shared strategies and differences in digital adaptation. The study ultimately aims to offer a conceptual understanding of how folk narratives are reshaped and reimagined within the digital media ecosystem.</p
