This NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s 2022/23 Adult Health and Wellbeing (HWB) Survey Report for North West Glasgow is the eighth survey since the inception in 1999 and the biggest single source of data about current health behaviours and perceptions of health and wellbeing across our population. This enables us to consider public health issues at a locality and thematic level within Glasgow. The survey provides information on health trends and analysis by different population groups to inform planning within Glasgow City and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and highlights areas where we need to work with partners and local communities to improve health

Perinatal mental health conversation workshops: enhancing pathways of mental health support during the perinatal period
It is reported that 1 in 5 women experience a mental health problem during pregnancy or after they have given birth. This includes mental illness existing before pregnancy, as well as illnesses that develop for the first time, or are greatly exacerbated in the perinatal period. These illnesses can be mild, moderate or severe, requiring different kinds of care or treatment. To help women and their families receive the right level of both clinical and/or community-based care and support, a series of Perinatal Mental Health Conversation Workshops took place bringing between statutory and non-statutory services together to talk about how they can work better together to enhance pathways of mental health support for women and their families
Thematic report 2: Women's health in Greater Glasgow and Clyde 2022/23
The aim of this report is to go beyond the findings of the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde 2022/23 Adult Health and Wellbeing main report. This is the second in a series of Thematic Reports. The first Thematic Report examined the mental health of our population. This paper examines the reported health of NHSGGC female residents, how this compares with that of male health, associated factors and changes over time to form a more complete overview of the health of our female population. It is hoped that the report will be of value to NHSGGC and HSCP strategists, decision makers, services, local government and the third sector, as well as academics and policymakers beyond the health board for whom the findings will also be relevant
Promoting inclusive, anti-racist practice in youth work settings - event report
On the 29th of April 2024, Glasgow South Health Improvement Team delivered a Promoting Inclusive, Anti Racist Practice event in partnership with YCSA, Urban Community Project, Active Life Club, Kooth and Govan Community Project. Partners from across the South locality came together to build cultural awareness and discuss anti-racist practice within services for young people and their families. The event was planned and delivered in partnership, and we were delighted to have young people sharing their views and experiences on the day. In addition to this a number of young people and staff provided video blogs about their experiences of racism. The event was designed to create opportunities for partners to share learning and good practice through discussion and networking.
