    "Destekten Yoksun Kalma Tazminatı" isimli çalışma, trafik kazaları başta olmak üzere çeşitli ölümlü olaylarda desteklerini kaybeden yakınların karşılaştıkları maddi ve manevi kayıpların tazmin edilmesi sürecine odaklanmaktadır. Çalışma, bu tazminat türüne ilişkin temel konuları ve ilgili yargı kararlarını detaylı bir şekilde incelemeyi hedeflemektedir. Tazminata hak kazanmak için gerekli olan şartlar, zararın nasıl ve hangi koşullarda meydana geldiği, yardım ve hizmet edimlerinin neyi kapsadığı gibi konular bu çalışmanın kapsamı içerisinde yer almaktadır. Çalışmada, zarar gören kişilerin yaşam standardı, destek verenin katkıları, gelecekteki olası katkılar ve mağdurun yaşam beklentisi gibi faktörlerin tazminatın hesaplanmasında dikkate alınması gerektiği vurgulanmaktadır. Ayrıca, tazminat taleplerinin değerlendirilmesi sürecinde, somut olayın özelliklerine uygun olarak detaylı ve dikkatli bir inceleme yapılmasının gerekliliği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu süreç, mağdur kişilere adil bir tazminat sağlanmasını ve hukukun genel prensiplerine uygun bir şekilde hareket edilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Destekten yoksun kalma tazminatı, hukukun koruyucu işlevini yerine getirirken aynı zamanda mağdur kişilerin yaşam kalitesinin ve sosyal refahının korunmasına önemli bir katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu nedenle, tazminatın uygulanması ve hesaplanması sürecinde hukuki düzenlemelerin ve yargı kararlarının doğru bir şekilde uygulanması, hukukun adaletli işleyişinin sağlanması için hayati önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma, hukuki süreçlerin adil ve tutarlı bir şekilde işlemesine yönelik önemli bir katkı sunmaktadır ve destekten yoksun kalma tazminatı konusunda kapsamlı bir çalışmadır.The study titled "Compensation for Loss of Support" focuses on the process of compensating for the financial and emotional losses encountered by relatives who have lost their support, primarily in traffic accidents and various fatal incidents. The study aims to thoroughly examine the fundamental issues related to this type of compensation and the relevant judicial decisions. It covers essential aspects such as the conditions necessary to be eligible for compensation, how and under what circumstances the damage occurs, and what is encompassed by assistance and service performances. The study emphasizes the importance of considering factors such as the standard of living of the injured parties, contributions of the supporter, potential future contributions, and the life expectancy of the victim in calculating the compensation. Additionally, it highlights the necessity of a detailed and careful examination in line with the specific characteristics of the case during the evaluation of compensation claims. This process aims to ensure fair compensation for the victims and adherence to the general principles of law. The compensation for loss of support plays a vital role in protecting the legal rights while also contributing significantly to maintaining the quality of life and social welfare of the affected individuals. Therefore, the proper application and calculation of this compensation, in accordance with legal regulations and judicial decisions, are crucial for ensuring the just operation of the law.     Modern web - based decision support system for oil refinery workflow transformation with economic analysis

    The refinery industry operates within a dynamic and competitive environment, requiring decision-makers to navigate complex challenges and uncertainties. This project focused on the development of a sophisticated Decision Support System (DSS) using advanced technologies such as NET 6 and C#. The primary objective was to empower decision-makers in the refinery industry with a robust tool to analyze extensive datasets, gain valuable insights, and make informed strategic choices. The project followed a systematic development process, involving the transformation of traditional Excel-based models into an automated application. By harnessing the capabilities of NET 6 and C#, the DSS facilitated seamless integration with backend systems, efficient data processing, and complex calculations. The frontend of the DSS was built using ReactJS, resulting in a userfriendly and visually appealing interface. Decision-makers can effortlessly navigate through the system, visualize data, and analyze key metrics, enabling them to make data-driven decisions with confidence. The implementation of the DSS offers significant advantages to the refinery industry. It reduces dependency on manual processes, automates data analysis, and provides real-time access to critical information. Decision-makers can explore various scenarios, evaluate financial implications, and optimize resource allocation. By streamlining the decision-making process, the DSS saves time, enhances operational efficiency, and empowers decision-makers to stay ahead in the competitive refinery industry.     Laparoscopic versus open repair for perforated peptic ulcer: A single-center analysis

    Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the early postoperative outcomes of patients who underwent laparoscopic and open repair for perforated peptic ulcer disease in our clinic. Materials and Methods: An observational single-center study was conducted at the Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital between June 2018 and June 2023. Demographic characteristics, comorbidities, preoperative laboratory tests, surgical technique, duration of operation, ulcer location (duodenal, gastric, prepyloric), postoperative length of hospital stay, readmission, and complications were analyzed. Patients were divided into two groups, open and laparoscopic operations, and compared. Results: We compared 99 patients who underwent open surgery (OS) with 23 who underwent laparoscopic surgery (LS). The median age of the entire cohort was 42.5 years (IQR 30.3–62). There was no difference between the two groups in terms of ulcer location. The operative time was longer in the laparoscopic group (45 min OS vs. 60 min LS, p<0.001). Although the median length of hospital stay was three days between the two groups, there was a significant difference in favor of the laparoscopic group. There were no significant differences in postoperative complications or 30-day mortality between the two groups (0.754 and 0.684, respectively). Conclusion: Compared with the open method, the laparoscopic method can be safely applied in the surgical treatment of peptic ulcer perforation without increasing complications. In suitable patients, advantages such as shorter hospital stays can be utilized

    Algılanan ebeveyn kabul-reddi ve koşullu öz-değer arasındaki ilişki ve öz-şefkatin aracı rolü

    Ebeveyn ilişkisi ve çocukluk deneyimlerimizin gerek kişiliklerimizin oluşumunda gerekse öz-değer inşa etme çabasında önemi yadsınamaz bir gerçektir. Koşullu öz-değer yapısı ve onun yedi boyutu literatürde araştırılmaya devam edilen önemli bir kavramdır. Öz-şefkat ise kendimize karşı takındığımız tutumun sağlıklı ve kabul edici olması şeklinde tanımlanabilir. Bu çalışma, 18-65 yaş arası yetişkinlerin ebeveyn kabul-ret algılarının koşullu öz-değer ile ilişkisini ve bu ilişkide öz-şefkatin aracı rolünü incelemektedir. Etik izin, araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılan ebeveyn kabul-ret ölçeği, koşullu öz-değer ölçeği ve özşefkat ölçeğine dair gerekli izinler ve 18-65 yaş arasında 299 gönüllü katılımcıdan onam alındıktan sonra çalışma başlatılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler Hayes Process yöntemi ile analiz edilmiş, algılanan ebeveyn kabul-ret ilişkisi ile koşullu öz-değer ilişkisinde öz-şefkatin 5 modelde aracılık rolü tespit edilmiştir. Ebeveyn reddi arttıkça başkalarının onayı alanında ve fiziksel görünüm alanında değer inşa etme davranışı artmakta ve öz-şefkat azalmakta; öz-şefkat arttığında ise başkalarının onayı ve fiziksel görünüm alanında değer inşası azalmaktadır.The relationship between parent-child and our childhood experiences is an undeniable factor in the formation of our personalities as well as in our efforts to build self-worth. Contingencies of self-worth and its seven dimensions are significant concepts continuing to be explored in the literature. Self-compassion, on the other hand, can be defined as the healthy and accepting attitude we hold towards ourselves. This study aims to investigate the relationship between parental acceptance-rejection perceptions of adults aged 18-65 and their contingency of self-worth, as well as the mediating role of self-compassion in this relationship. Ethical permissions were obtained, and the study commenced after obtaining consent from 299 voluntary participants aged between 18 and 65 years old for the use of the Parental Acceptance-Rejection Scale, Contingency of Self-Worth Scale, and SelfCompassion Scale as data collection tools. Data obtained from the study were analyzed using the Hayes Process method, revealing self-compassion's mediating role in five models within the relationship between parental acceptance-rejection and contingency of self-worth. As parental rejection increases, building self-worth behavior in the field of approval of others and physical appearance increases and self-compassion decreases.     Enhancing Content-Based Image Retrieval with a Stacked Ensemble of Deep Learning Models

    Our research paper delves into an innovative exploration of content-based image retrieval (CBIR), harnessing the capabilities of deep learning models to transform the way images are searched and accessed in extensive databases. The primary goal of our study is to create an ensemble stacking model that synergizes the strengths of various deep learning architectures, thereby boosting the accuracy and efficiency of image retrieval processes. We utilize the Corel Images dataset, rich in diverse visual themes, to test and validate our model's efficacy. Our research methodology encompasses four key stages: data preprocessing, model training with DenseNet, MobileNet, and Inception-ResNet, followed by an in-depth evaluation of the model. The approach demonstrates the effectiveness of our ensemble model as it achieves a high accurate rate of 97 % exceeds the benchmarks set by the individual models in our compare and differential analyses. Moreover, the manuscript investigates the model's technical detail, such as the feature extraction, runtime with different images, and scalability to more massive datasets. The eulogy for the model's performance in the performance evaluation section encapsulates the functional performance and the practicality of CBIR efficacy

    Transfer and persistence of microbiota markers from the human hand to the knife: A preliminary study

    New scientific techniques and methods are always needed to link the perpetrators to the incident or the crime scene. Recent microbiota studies based on NGS (Next-generation sequencing) show that various biological samples from crime scenes have the potential to be used in forensic investigations. Especially when DNA traces belonging to more than one person are insufficient to fully determine the genetic profile, a secret sample, such as a microbiota sample created by the suspect's touch, can be used. In this preliminary study, a fictionalized experimental model was designed to investigate the transfer and persistence of the hand microbiome on the knife handle, which has a high potential to be used in criminal incidents, by metagenomic analysis methods. In addition, it was aimed to determine the transfer of specific bacterial species identified only to the person among the five participants onto the knife handle and their persistence over time. In the first stage of the research, samples were collected from the hands of 5 volunteer participants using the swap method, including their palms. Then, after each participant held a different knife, samples were collected from the knife handles via swabs from different angles of the knives at 4 and 24 h and analyzed by metagenomic methods. The findings of this preliminary study showed that the heatmap graphs generated after UniFrac distance analysis were not successful in establishing any similarity between the hand samples and the post-transfer knife handle samples. Nonetheless, it was observed that the transfer of bacterial species detected in the hand samples to knives differed according to the individuals and some bacterial species were transferred to the knife samples held by the participants. The number of bacterial species detected that are specific to each participant's hand sample was 302 in total, and it was determined that a total of 8.28 % of these bacterial species were transferred to the knife handle samples of the 4th hour and 6.95 % to the knife samples of the 24th hour. In the presented study, considering the transfer of some bacterial species in the hand microbiome, which are effective in the variation between individuals, onto the knife; It has been evaluated that some rare bacterial species can be important potential markers to associate the object with the perpetrator

    The rise of cyber-attacks such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) and SQL injection has become a significant concern for organizations and individuals who rely on the internet. Traditional detection methods have become increasingly ineffective in addressing these challenges, necessitating the development of new and innovative solutions. This paper proposes using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to detect DDoS and SQL injection attacks. Our paper proposes a Convolutional Neural Network model with a multi-layer neural and relu activation function optimizer that reaches a higher degree of precision than previous Deep Learning models. In this study, we tested the relatively new dataset CIC-IDS-2018, which contains different types of attacks. With this dataset, our model achieves an unprecedented accuracy of>96%, minimizing computational time

    Development and optimization of double-layered orally dissolving film formulation using Quality by Design (QBD) approach

    Bu araştırmanın amacı, 5 mg deksketoprofen trometamol ve 10 mg lidokain HCL içeren mukoadezif bir oral film geliştirmekti. Bu filmin, iltihaplanmayı önlemek veya tedavi etmek ve ağrıyı azaltmak için diş eti ameliyatı sonrasında diş eti üzerine yerleştirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Tıp alanında periodontalsorunlardan muzdarip nüfusun büyük bir kısmını tedavi etmek için yeni yöntemlere önemli bir ihtiyaç vardır. Uygulama yerinde ilaç dozajının tutulmasının arttırılması, başarılı tedavileri teşvik edebilir. Tasarımla Kalite (QbD) yaklaşımını kullanarak on beş formülasyon üretildi, Modde 12.1 Pro yazılımının yardımıyla tasarım yöntemi ile formülasyonu takip edildi. Hasta odaklı kalite hedefi ürün profilleri belirlenmiş ve buna göre önemli kalite özellikleri tanımlanmıştır. Ön tarama araştırmaları ve erken risk değerlendirmesi, film oluşumu için CMA'lar olarak plastikleştirici (gliserol) ile birlikte film oluşturucu polimerlerin (HPMC ve Na CMC) seçimini kolaylaştırdı. BoxBehnken deneysel tasarımı, HPMC (X1), Na CMC(X2) ve Gliserol (X3) gibi bağımsız değişkenlerin (fakörlerin) görünüm (Y1), yapışkanlık (N) (Y2), gerilme direnci (Mpa) (Y3), esneklik (%) (Y4), lidokain HCL 30 dakikada çözünmesi (Y5), ve dexketoprofen trometamol 30 dakikada çözünmesi (Y6), üzerinde etkisini sağlamak için kullanıldı. Üretilen optimize edilmiş oral film, moleküller arası etkileşimlerini incelemek için Fourier dönüşümü kızılötesi spektroskopisi (FTIR) ve diferansiyel tarama kalorimetrisi (DSC) kullanılarak analiz edildi. Analiz, filmin olağanüstü özelliklere sahip olduğunu gösterdi. Geliştirilmiş filmin yapısı taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM) kullanılarak analiz edildi. Optimize edilmiş oral filmin hızlı parçalanma, yeterli Katlama direnci, yüksek oranda esneklik ve güçlü gerilme direnci sergiledi. Ortaya çıkan ürün diş eti uygulaması için gerekli özelliklere sahiptir.The objective of this research was to develop a mucoadhesive oral film containing 5 mg dexketoprofen trometamol and 10 mg lidocaine HCL. This film is intended for placement on the gingiva following a gingivectomy to prevent or treat inflammation and reduce pain. There is a significant need in the medical field for novel ways to treat the large proportion of the population that suffers from periodontal issues. Enhancing drug dosage retention at the site of application might promote successful treatments. Fifteen formulations were produced using a quality by design (QbD) approach, following a formulation by design method assisted by Modde 12.1 Pro software. The patient-focused quality target product profiles were designated, and based on that, important quality features were defined. Preliminary screening investigations and early risk assessment facilitated the selection of film-forming polymers (HPMC and Na CMC), along with the plasticizer (glycerol), as CMAs for film formation. The Box-Behnken experimental design was used to ensure the effect of independent variables (factors) such as HPMC (X1), Na CMC (X2), and Glycerol (X3) on appearance (Y1), adhesiveness (N) (Y2), tensile strength (Mpa) (Y3), elongation at break (%) (Y4), lidocaine HCL dissolution at 30 min (Y5), and dexketoprofen trometamol dissolution at 30 min (Y6). The optimized oral film that was generated was analyzed using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and differentialscanning calorimetry (DSC) to examine its intermolecular interactions. The analysis showed that the film had outstanding properties. The structure of the improved film was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The optimized oral film exhibited quick disintegration, sufficient folding durability, high percentage elongation, and strong tensile strength. In addition, the in vitro dissolution test showed rapid dissolution of both active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), with over 80% dissolved within 30 minutes. Cell viability was determined using cytotoxicity experiments. To summarize, the design plan for creating a formulation of dexketoprofen trometamol and lidocaine HCL oral film was effectively accomplished. The resulting product has the required features necessary for gingival administration

Çalışmanın iki temel sorusu; tüketicilerin sürdürülebilir tüketim bilinçlerinin ve satın alma niyetlerinin, değerler ve yaşam tarzlarının etkisi ile oluşup oluşmadığı ve tüketicilerin satın alma niyetinin, sürdürülebilir tüketim bilincine göre oluşup oluşmadığısorularıdır. Saha araştırması tekstil ürünü tipi üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Saha araştırması sonucu; değerler ve yaşam tarzlarının, sürdürülebilir tüketim bilinci ile gelecek kaygısına doğrudan ve dolaylı etkisi olduğu sonucu çıkmıştır. Yine gelecek kaygısının sürdürülebilir tüketim bilincine, sürdürülebilir tüketim bilincinin, satın alma niyetine doğrudan etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Fakat gelecek kaygısının doğrudan satın alma niyetine ve değerler ve yaşam tarzının gelecek kaygısı aracı etkisi ile satın alma niyetine etkisine rastlanmamıştır.The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between values and lifestyles with sustainable consumption awareness and purchase intention. A secondary aim is to identify the mediating role of future anxiety in this relationship. The study's two main questions are whether consumers' sustainable consumption awareness and purchase intentions are influenced by values and lifestyles, and whether consumers' purchase intention is influenced by sustainable consumption awareness. The field research was conducted focusing on textile products. The findings of the field research indicate that values and lifestyles have both direct and indirect effects on sustainable consumption awareness and future anxiety. Additionally, it was found that future anxiety has a direct impact on sustainable consumption awareness, and sustainable consumption awareness directly influences purchase intention. However, no direct impact of future anxiety on purchase intention or indirect effects of values and lifestyles on purchase intention through future anxiety were found
