    No full text
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic, autoimmune inflammatory disorder that leads to progressive joint destruction and may also involve extra-articular organs, including the kidneys. Emerging evidence suggests an increased incidence of renal impairment among patients with RA. In Ayurveda, RA is correlated with Amavata, a disorder of the Rasavaha Srotas precipitated by Agni dysfunction, accumulation of Ama, and vitiation of Vata Dosha. The interaction of Ama with vitiated Vata localizes in the Shleshma Sthana (especially Asthi Sandhi), producing the characteristic clinical manifestations. This case study presents a 38-year-old female diagnosed with Amavata who was treated with Ayurvedic Shamana Chikitsa. Significant improvement was observed in clinical symptoms along with a notable reduction in RA factor levels, underscoring the therapeutic potential of Ayurveda in managing the systemic manifestations of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Malignant cancer is a serious and chronic condition with a poor prognosis, as it often remains asymptomatic in most cases or presents with non-specific symptoms that may be mistaken for other health issues such as fatigue, headache, digestive disturbances, unexplained fever, or weight loss. It commonly manifests at an advanced stage, making management difficult. It is one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide. The prognosis and treatment outcome of cancer depend on multiple factors such as stage, age, aggressiveness, and the organ involved. Some cancers are curable, whereas many are not in the later stages. Even after chemotherapy, recurrence may occur due to the survival of resistant cells during treatment. This case reports a post-chemotherapy recurrence of tongue cancer in a male patient who visited Jeena Sikho Lifecare Ltd. Hospital, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, on 10 November 2024. He presented with clinical features suggestive of lymph node metastasis, including a lump on the left side of the neck, swelling, and general weakness. Ayurvedic management, including oral medications, lifestyle modification, and Panchakarma therapy, was initiated.&nbsp

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined as a progressive condition affecting kidney. According to recent studies glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the basis of CKD detection and classification to five stages. In Indian patients, above 65, diabetes is also found along with hypertension and CKD. The early detection and treatment are expensive and almost inaccessible to the individuals in non-developed or developing countries. This case report focuses on a 65-year-old male patient with CKD for 2 years, Type II diabetes mellitus (T2DM) for 24 years and Hypertension since 2008 who received Ayurvedic treatment at Jeena Sikho Lifecare   Limited Hospital, Derabassi. The treatment method administered on him was a combination of individualized Ayurveda and Panchakarma therapies, resulting in significant progresses in his symptoms, kidney health and function, and general life quality. In Ayurveda, ancient science of well-being various herbs (Dravya) and formulations (Yoga) are mentioned to cure multiple diseases (Vyadhi). In Dravya Guna Shastra, the branch of Ayurveda, various fundamental principles (Siddhanta) are men-tioned according to which all herbs and formulations target different systems of the body. However, validation of the claim by the Ayurvedic herbs or formulations always remains a challenge. Network pharmacology is a promising tool for over-coming this challenge. Network pharmacology is the approach that looks at how everything works together i.e. it makes us understand how different medicines, diseases, and various systems of our body are connected. It is the study of the complex network of drug action on various biological pathways and targets. This unique approach is similar to Ayurveda fundamentals that focus on the interaction between multiple components within the body while doing treatment by use of herbs and various herbal formulations. In this research paper integration of Ayurvedic knowledge with network pharmacology is mapped which helps in the future for drug discovery and scientific validation for Ayurvedic treatment strategies which ultimately contribute to the advancement of Ayurveda. Along with this network pharmacology of Ashwgandha and Trikatu by current research, active ingredients, related techniques/ tools/ databases, are also mentioned which helps the researcher to understand the phenomena of discovering the novel compounds and explore the full biological potential of Ayurvedic herbs and formulations using the network pharmacology

The patient, treated at Jeena Sikho Lifecare Limited Hospital in Derabassi, Punjab, presented with symptoms such as periorbital swelling, pedal edema, lower limb itching, and frothy urine. After 21 days of inpatient Ayurvedic therapy, significant improvements were observed, including symptom relief, weight loss, and stabilization of vital signs. Laboratory tests showed reductions in serum urea and creatinine levels, indicating improved kidney function. The case highlights the potential of Ayurvedic therapies, including detoxification through Panchakarma and the use of Ayurvedic herbs like Punarnava and Gokshura, in supporting kidney health and improving overall quality of life. While the results are promising, further large-scale clinical trials are needed to validate the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatments in CKD management, especially in patients with comorbid conditions like hypertension and diabetes
