Online CHD Risk Assessment Calculator Based on Philippine Heart Association Guidelines and Dataset
Existing coronary heart disease risk calculators use different risk assessment mod- els and equations derived from foreign datasets that when compared to each other may have different interpretations and results. The calculators for the risk of CHD are also accessed separately, with their own implementation of code for calculations, from the calculators that predict the death from the disease. Users also cannot deter- mine which calculator is optimal to use since results varies and the different models validate the accuracy by testing it also with other models.
Using the same point system for each model but a dataset from Philippine Heart Association CAD regsitry, new estimations for the equations are derived and used to compute for the probability of death or myocardial infarction from the disease. The results from the indicated models by PHA are displayed with their own interpretations as well as the result from the model derived from the Philippine dataset. The clinician could also enter some note to the patient that can be saved as a PDF file together with the patient information and risk assessment. The entered values in the calculator could also be used to generate statistical reports
TAGR: Telehealth Automatically Generated Recommendations
Telehealth Automatically Generated Recommendations (TAGR) is a module for auto- matically classifying SMS and e-mail messages with their appropriate tags as required by the National Telehealth Center for their National Telehealth Service Program (NTSP). It utilizes support vector machines in text classification which are config- urable in a web-based interface. The default classifier trained on the base dataset gives an average accuracy of 73% via 10-fold cross validation
Soil Transmitted Helminthiasis Mapping System in the Philippines
Soil Transmitted Helminthiasis (STH), a neglected tropical disease, is endemic to the Philippines. Roundworm, whipworm, and hookworm are some of the common intestinal parasites in the country which can cause malnutrition, anemia, and growth retardation that mostly affect children and women. The Department of Health has created a Soil Transmitted Helminth Control Program and a support system will be helpful to achieve their goal of reducing the morbidity and mortality due to STH infection. In this study, a support tool that maps the prevalence of STH in the Philippines starting from the barangay all the way up to the regional level using GIS was developed
Phenogram Generator using Frequent Structure Mining over Metabolic Pathways (PhenTor)
A Phenogram generator system using FP-Graph Miner Algorithm, Jaccard similarity index and Hamming Distance, over glycolysis and citrate cycle metabolic pathways
RADIOFREQUENCY MAPPING OF AN OMNIDIRECTIONAL ANTENNA IN AN OUTDOOR DISTRIBUTED ANTENNA SYSTEM
Some members of the general public have safety issues on the sources of non-ionizing radiation found in their environment. This study aims to produce a radiofrequency map to visualize exposure from an omnidirectional antenna in an Outdoor Distributed Antenna System (ODAS). First, field measurements are done in order to obtain the power density levels around the antenna. The highest power density level measured, which is 3.45 mW/m^2, is just 0.07 % of the reference level set by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) for the exposure of the general public to radiofrequency radiation. A map was generated by using Ordinary Kriging as a spatial interpolation method on measured power density values. Cross-validation was done in order to find an optimal search radius to be used in estimating the unknown power densities. Error values were calculated for different search radii, where results show that the error values are lowest at 1m (Mean Absolute Error: 34.13%; Root Mean Squared Error: 44.41%; Mean Absolute Percentage Error: 37.76%). A radiofrequency map was then generated for a search radius of 1m
Jomres Plus (A Jomres Supplemental Plugin)
Traveling and reservation systems have become popular. Online Booking and Prop- erty Management Systems like the Jomres Hotel Booking System offer significant advantages. Jomres is Joomla’s longest hotel booking system or booking portal. This study provides a plugin for Jomres named Jomres Plus (a Jomres supplemental plugin) that would add to and improve its existing functionalities for both administrator and customer
Customer Support Services Content Management System for Government Agencies
The special project is a web-based application for lodging of requests, queries, complaints, issues, concerns, suggestions/opinions, tips, and etc., well as for tracking the status of redresses/comments from anywhere which utilized various systems as its foundation. The use of web-based application technology in government institutions has many benefits. However, in the Philippines, most of the government websites do not have facilities to enable online submission of questions, feedback, complaints, or suggestions. This is one major reason why many Filipinos are not happy with the services provided by the government. Thus it is high time that an “issue tracking system” or “customer support system” be established. This special project seeks to embark on the enhancement of government websites to make it more professional, dynamic and interactive, and user-centric to encourage citizen participation. The application will have four user types: the general public are the common masses, the head administrator, the department admin, and the department user. Moreover, it caters to four major fields of information and messages: petitioner, category, subject, and area
Parkison's Disease Decision Support System
Parkinson’s Disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that is slowly progressive. Among the common symptoms of PD are tremor, shaking and dysarthria. This refers to a group of speech disorders usually resulting from neurological damage and is characterized by some degree to having weak, slow, uncoordinated or changed tone of speech muscles. It is stated in some researches that speech deficiency is one of the good indicators of PD. Therefore, Parkinson’s Disease Decision Support System makes use of the speech signal dataset to create a model that would be used for future classifications of PD subjects. Data preprocessing techniques and data reduction algorithms are implemented together with Support Vector Machines. The highest accuracy obtained through 10-fold cross validation is 98.24%. PD DSS proves to aid students and researchers in the field of PD
IBudgetMo Online Platform (IBMOP): Participatory Budgeting and Project Monitoring Through a Geographic Information System
The IBudgetMo Online Platform (IBMOP) is a participatory budgeting project for barangays in Caloocan City by the ANSA-EAP organization. This study proposes an online platform for barangay project proposals that may be identified and decided upon barangay citizens according to their priority needs. Furthermore, a GIS will visually tag the location of the on-going projects on maps, which will be used for monitoring a project’s current progress
AAGFA: Automated ANFIS and GA-Based Forex Agent
With Forex as the largest and most liquid financial market, the practice of algo- rithmic trading has become of interest in the market, as well as in research. This study explores the use of the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System as a pre- dictor, combined with the Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II for trade timing to create a smart autonomous Forex trading agent that produces sizable profits. Upon performing a backtest, the agent was shown to be able to garner approximately 500 in profit for a one-year period. Empirical evidence is also provided that the trading agent running live is able to open trades which profitably closed
