    The health insurance industry is saturated by big companies competing for market share. This saturation has induced a change of focus towards this health insurance companies towards their customers which went from customer acquisition to customer retention. A need for a more holistic approach towards customer relationship management is needed which entails the need for SMS, Telephone and Email helplines. No SMS enabled customer relationship management tool is of existence in the health insurance market hence utilization of the pros brought about by the said technology hasn't been felt by its players yet. This need for an SMS enabled CRM tool could be substantiated through the utilization of a GSM modem and KANNEL for WAP based communication with a CodeIgniter based PHP web application that utilizes MySQL database so as cost and setup would be minimized for this software

    Mobile technology in medical institutions has been very useful to mankind. It makes lives less demanding and gives accommodation through the applications itself and has been a fundamental part to the change of the nature of medicinal services. In the Philippine General Hospital, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) lacks such innovations in mobile healthcare, particularly in arranging and managing operating room (OR) schedules. The ORL Operating Room Scheduler system is a mobile based application for the users of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in the Philippine General Hospital. It provides the given functionalities of an operating room scheduler that solves the problem of the OR scheduling in the said institution. In this application, the user can create, organize and arrange OR schedule of patients electronically. The users can also appoint and manage the OR schedules through the application themselves conveniently reducing the complexity of the process. The system can be accessed simply by the users in the Department through smartphones with the Android operating system having an internet connection

    Animals especially pets play an important part of lives. Same for humans, it is important that we give them what they need when they need them. And in return we receive something from them as well. Due to evolution of society, demand on pet medical care has increased as well as demands for veterinary services. But the information on how to get these is limited. Even in the current technology that we have, system and application that provide information regarding clinic location are less if not totally unavailable or not generally available to public. SpotAVet is a system used to lessen the gap between pet or animal owner to veterinary clinic and veterinarians. Being a Web-based system, SpotAVet enables its user to easily manage, monitor and safe-keep pet medical records and information. It also utilizes location based feature to provide information on clinic map location. Clinic schedule and its veterinarian’s specialization and schedule are also available with the use of the system. The system also allows pet owners to virtually set appointment to veterinarian without the hassle of calling or going to clinic himself/herself. SpotAVet also comes with Android support application which enables users and non-registered users to search veterinary clinic near their location. Clinic information and veterinarians information is given to them as well. With the use of this system, information on veterinary clinics and veterinarians will be available for public use. With the right information and help from professionals, it could improve the way we deal with some of the problems associated with animals and pets

    Trends.Net, Inc. Education Center (TNET) is a training provider for Information Technology and Management Professionals. TNET offers networking certification trainings that can help associates and professionals prepare for a career with any company that requires each certification. Contrarily, there are cases where a company sends students to expand their area of expertise or aim for a higher level certification. Most of the trainings are composed of two parts: a lecture and a laboratory class which usually lasts for a week. The laboratory classes are subdivided into two types: local and remote. The local laboratory is accessed within the internal network of the company while the remote laboratory is accessed through an external network (i.e. the Internet).     DynastyMap: An Interactive Data Visualization Tool on Political Dynasties in the Philippines

    Political dynasties are prevalent in Philippine politics. The relationship between the prevalence of political dynasties and other aspects of the country, such as poverty, may be studied using data visualization. In this paper, DynastyMap, a web-based map data visualization system was presented as a tool for studying data related to political dynasties in the Philippines. The choropleth map and the tag map were used as data visualization methods, with the choropleth showing various datasets and the tag map showing dynasty data. Using these visualizations with the right datasets, DynastyMap can be an effective tool for the study or presentation of political dynasty data in the Philippines
