The effect of new technology on improving student motivation in the learning process
New technologies are gaining more and more importance in the education system after the pandemic.
They enable distance learning, communication, joint collaboration on projects, and at the same time
have a favorable effect on student motivation, their academic performance, and above all, they make
learning fun. Digital learning environments that include a wide range of interactive media and activities
help students better understand the content they study and to make decisions, thereby further acquiring
skills such as autonomy and digital literacy. Immersive technologies allow students to get to know and
visually experience places, people or objects from their lectures, and to strengthen their understanding
of the lesson by interacting with them. The role of the devices of these technologies is particularly
significant in increasing the motivation of students who have problems with learning. Previous
experiences have shown that they achieve significantly better results on tests through these new digital
learning methods. Another advantage of new learning technology devices is that they significantly
reduce cognitive fatigue, as they successfully integrate virtual elements into real-world scenarios. In the
modern digital world to which children belong, it has become very difficult to motivate them in old-
fashioned classrooms and by using traditional learning methods. Although new technologies in the
education sector have not yet been implemented everywhere as a standard means of learning, it is
undeniable that their benefits are significant and that with additional development they will very soon
become integral parts of the learning process
Chinese Investments in Renewable Energy Projects in Central and Eastern European Countries
The main aim of this paper is to analyse the most important challenges of
Chinese investments in renewable energy projects in Central and East
European countries. The focus of research is on challenges within the China-
Central and Eastern European countries cooperation framework because
theoretical and empirical research is mainly oriented towards traditional
energy projects. The analysed period spans from 2014 until 2022. With 26
active or completed projects out of the 29 proposed projects in the renewable
energy field, the cooperation has been positive so far, but with modest
outcomes. The investors in this field were both Chinese state-owned and
private companies, while most of the projects were realised through
investments and not loans. The main challenges within China-Central and
East European countries renewable energy cooperation were political issues,
public policies and strategies of national governments, corruption, finances,
and legal issues
The WTO’s compulsory licencing of patented pharmaceuticals: implementation challenges
The focus of the research is the topic of compulsory licencing, the right under
the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights for
countries to use patented medicines without the patent holder’s consent as
a form of relief (flexibilities) for developing countries. The research aims to
assess whether the application of compulsory licencing has fulfilled its
primary goals and purpose. The research problem is the inconsistency
between the compulsory licencing application in practice and the original
purpose. It is reflected in the mass use of this right by countries with higher
incomes and, secondly, in the symbolic presence of contagious diseases.
That was investigated using the Generalized Linear Model. The results
confirmed that the actual situation of public health and the income level of
beneficiaries had been marginalised as grounds for exercising compulsory
licencing. The arbitrary application of compulsory licencing has led to the
situation that the poorest countries, with the most significant health crises,
remain in the background of this World Trade Organisation mechanism
Ensure Video Game Success with Digital Marketing
The video game industry has the potential to become one of the most profitable on a global level. It is estimated that soon there will be more than 3.3 billion video game players, of all types of video games, which is almost half of the entire world population. Also, it has been noticed that in recent years there has been a change in the demographics of gamers, so members of the younger male population are no longer the only target market of this industry. Today, video games are played by members of the female population, as well as people who are of a mature age. Given that this market has become very demanding, to gain a competitive advantage, video game publishers and marketing experts are under constant pressure to reach their consumers with innovative solutions, to achieve adequate communication with them, and to precisely offer solutions that correspond to their needs and desires. Digital marketing activities can help achieve business success and sell video games in multi-million copies but also sell additional features within the online game itself. This paper presents a set of theoretical views on the influence of digital marketing in ensuring the success of a video game, and the analysis showed that digital marketing activities can enable video game publishers to achieve their intended business goals, but also to often overcome them. The authors tried to bring this topic closer to marketing and gaming experts and point out to them the potential benefits of using digital marketing in the video game industry. This study aims to show that if digital marketing activities are adapted to the target market, companies within the video game industry can provide a competitive advantage, a loyal customer base, and better profits
Western Balkans Challenges in the Third Decade of the 21st Century – Case Study: Serbia and North Macedonia
In the methodological sense, the aim of this paper will be to reach a prediction about the potential challenges,
threats and risks that the Western Balkans will face in the current decade, based on the case study of Serbia
and North Macedonia. By analyzing the existing economic, political and security challenges, risks and
threats facing by these two countries, as well as the European continent as a whole, the authors will try to
use the method of prediction to establish to what extent the existing challenges, risks and threats will be
current in the next six years, whether new ones will appear and in what intensity and what mechanisms are
available to small states, such as Serbia and North Macedonia, in the process of facing and creating
sustainability. In the academic sense, the contribution of this work will be to provide new understanding
about what are the most effective methods in the process of recognizing the challenges facing by small states
in current international relations. While, in a practical sense, the contribution will be multiple - political,
economic, security - because it will provide new knowledge about potential challenges, risks and threats, as
well as proposals for dealing with them
Kinesko-američko strateško rivalstvo u Indo-Pacifiku: nadmetanje za regionalno vođstvo
Indo-Pacifik kao region od izuzetnog strateškog značaja
poslednjih decenija postao je središte rivalstva Sjedinjenih Američkih
Država i Narodne Republike Kine. Vođene svojim političkim,
ekonomskim i bezbednosnim interesima obe države se bore za regionalnu
dominaciju.
održavanje regionalne hegemonije kroz oblikovanje regionalnog poretka
i jačanje savezništava. Rad se bavi konceptualizacijom Indo-Pacifika,
karakterom, kao i osnovnim dimenzijama i pokretačima kinesko-
američkog strateškog rivalstva u regionu, dajući pregled njegovih
(geo)političkih, (geo)ekonomskih i bezbednosnih aspekata
The potential of AI influencers to modify the creator economy
The creator economy, sometimes referred to as the influencer economy, is a software-enabled
economy that lets influencers and content producers get paid for their works. The advancement of
artificial intelligence (AI) has given social media content producers access to a plethora of novel
tools that allow them to engage with their target audience more precisely, promptly, and efficiently.
The emergence of AI influencers, or virtual influencers, who are computer-generated personas
endorsing brands and products on social media, is one of the innovations that AI has brought to
companies. Social media users are seeing less distinction between AI and genuine (human)
influencers as AI technology advances. In general, human influencers have their own thoughts,
feelings, and objectives, which might lead them to produce content in ways that may not always be
consistent with a brand's mission. AI influences can be quickly corrected, and they only say and do
what they are expressly trained to say and do. These virtual influencers are incapable of having
second thoughts, making poor decisions, or becoming entangled in a scandal that can endanger a
company's reputation. The fact that AI influencers are typically less expensive than their human
counterparts with a comparable number of followers is also noteworthy
Effects of in-game advertising on the world economy
In order to improve their market position and engage with customers more effectively,
companies in the video game industry are choosing digital advertising over traditional
methods of advertising due to the intense competition in the market. As any commercial
activity that occurs within video games, in-game advertising is undoubtedly one of these. All
video game ads, though, are not a commercial success. They can make players unhappy and
irritated if they are not skilfully incorporated into the game. But an effective in-game
advertisement can have a positive effect on customer perceptions of the brand and their
purchasing decisions. The most notable and successful of these kinds of advertisements are
those that offer rewards to players upon completion of a viewing session (for watching fullscreen video adverts). Player engagement can be increased in this way. The world economy is
predicted to benefit from the substantial growth in the in-game advertising industry in the
upcoming years, which is mostly attributable to the rapid advancement of immersive and
artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. In addition to the proven ability of this kind of
advertising to lower costs, increase reach, and boost return on investment (ROI), marketers
must also achieve the ideal balance between attracting in viewers and preserving the player's
gameplay experience
Military-to-Military Diplomacy and Cooperation Between China and Serbia: Genesis and Future Prospects
This paper aims to analyse the genesis and prospects of Sino-Serbian
military diplomacy. Both nations seek to enhance their bilateral relationship,
aiming to create a mutually beneficial environment by upgrading
comprehensive strategic partnership into the agreement on a community
with a shared future in the new era. The paper is structured into three parts.
The first part theoretically addresses the concept of military diplomacy. This
theoretical framework distinguishes military diplomacy from related
phenomena such as gunboat and coercive diplomacy. The second part
examines the evolution and role of military diplomacy in China’s efforts to
achieve its national ambitions and the Chinese dream concretised into “Two
Centenary” goals. At the same time, it represents an analysis of how military
diplomacy contributes to China’s efforts to enhance confidence-building
measures and strengthen inter-state relations within the framework of global
governance. The third part focuses on the bilateral military diplomatic
relations and cooperation between China and Serbia. This section highlights
the areas and methods through which China and Serbia have developed
military-to-military diplomacy. It further explores how this cooperation has
influenced the Sino-Serbian Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, elevated
to a community with a shared future in the new era, Serbia’s military neutrality, its ambitions to become a regional leader, and China’s geopolitical
intentions in the Western Balkans
