    This dataset contains lesson plans and tasks for grade IV gymnasium class in Area D (Technological Problem Solving) from the teaching guide "Informatics Lesson Plans: Ideas and Scenarios for Grades 5–12". Author of lesson plans and tasks: Danguolė Giedraitė. Area D. The lesson plans and tasks for grade IV gymnasium class are directed toward solving technological problems in practical, real-life situations. The lessons are characterised by clearly defined objectives, the development of diverse competencies, and relevance to contemporary society. Learning activities are focused on the active engagement of students, solving practical problems, and identifying and overcoming technological challenges. This strengthens students' ability to use information technology effectively in everyday situations and improves their independent learning and reflection skills.     The purpose of the study: to examine the opinions of the country's residents about the situation of various ethnic and social groups living in Lithuania. Major investigated questions: after listing various groups of people, respondents were asked to indicate which of these groups they would not want to live next to. The study examined how respondents' attitudes toward the listed groups living in Lithuania have changed over the past 5 years. At the end of the survey, a block of questions was presented to explore respondents' opinions about foreigners employed in vacant jobs in Lithuania.     The purpose of the study: to give information on the victimization experience of the Lithuanian population in 2005. Major investigated questions: respondents were asked how many times they have been personally affected by crime in 2005. Victims of the crimes were asked to indicate by which of the crimes and how many times they have been affected. They were also asked to indicate the offender and the circumstances of the offense, the damage suffered. Respondents were asked whether they reported the law enforcement authorities about the offence and whether they were recognized as victims. All respondents were asked whether they feel safe form the offenses in Lithuania and what is the main factor influencing their sense of security or insecurity.     The purpose of the study: to give information on the victimization experience of the Lithuanian population, their attitudes towards criminal justice and towards institutions helping victims. Major investigated questions: respondents were asked how many times they have been personally affected by crime in 2006 and whether they reported the law enforcement authorities about the offence. They were also asked whether they feel safe form the offenses in Lithuania and what is the main factor influencing their sense of security or insecurity. Respondents indicated the offenses in Lithuania they care about most and also evaluated social and legal protection of the crime victims of in Lithuania. They were also asked whether the information about crime victims' rights and its defense opportunities is sufficient and whether they know at least one NGO providing services to the victims of crime. Respondents evaluated the practice of such organizations. Respondents were asked whether they know that the state provides free legal assistance to victims of crime, as well as compensates the damage for the victims of violent crimes. Respondents also assessed the severity of the punishments for the offenses, as well as indicated the measures which are best for reducing crime. Respondents also assessed the performance of the institutions of pre-trial investigation and prosecutorial investigation, and the performance of courts in dealing with criminal cases.     The purpose of the study: to identify Lithuania's citizens' attitudes towards European Union and their opinion on the membership of Lithuania in the EU. Major investigated questions: respondents were asked do they support the membership of Lithuania in the EU and point out main reasons for this support (improvement of private well-being; increase of security of Lithuania; reduction of Russian influence; European Union financially supports less developed countries, other). Respondents assessed the sufficiency / insufficiency of information on Lithuania's admission to the European Union; pointed out what information related to the EU membership of Lithuania is the most interesting to respondents (EU institutions; business opportunities in the EU market; employment opportunities in EU countries, consumer rights protection, other). Respondents also gave judgement on the changes that take place in Lithuania after joining the European Union in May, 2004: expectations of positive changes and fears of concrete negative changes.
