Dataset for "Enhancing BIM Adoption in Nigeria's Construction Industry: A Conceptual Framework Integrating Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) and Institutional Theory"

    No full text
Dataset Description This study integrates the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework and Institutional Theory to address BIM adoption challenges in Nigeria’s construction industry. The dataset captures survey responses from 10 professionals (architects, engineers, project managers) evaluating drivers (e.g., efficiency gains, software accessibility), strategies (e.g., training, policy harmonization), and barriers (e.g., high costs, skill gaps) via Likert scales. The manuscript employs a mixed-methods approach, combining a systematic literature review (2018–2024) with expert validation through Delphi rounds. Findings highlight fragmented policies, resistance to change, and BIM’s alignment with SDG 9. The proposed framework offers actionable strategies (e.g., curriculum integration, enforcement bodies) to bridge technical, organizational, and institutional gaps, providing a roadmap for stakeholders to enhance sustainable BIM adoption in resource-constrained contexts

Work-Life Balance in Construction: Enhancing Job Performance Through Employee Well-being Strategies

    No full text
This dataset comprises responses from 80 construction professionals in Lagos, Nigeria, examining the interplay between Work-Life Balance (WLB) practices and job performance. Variables include demographics (age, education, work hours, company type), WLB practices (e.g., flexible arrangements, parental leave, health programs), and job performance metrics (task speed, quality, adherence to timelines). Data was collected via structured questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale. Analyses included reliability testing (Cronbach’s α = 0.904), Mann-Whitney U tests (identifying significant differences in WLB practices between company types), and Spearman correlations (noting moderate links between parental leave/childcare benefits and performance outcomes). The dataset supports insights into WLB adoption levels and their organizational impacts in Nigeria’s construction sector

    No full text
This paper examines African Traditional Medicine (ATM) and Sustainable Health Care System. It argues that sustainable health care system is achievable by giving African Traditional Medicine its rightful position in sustainable health care discourse. The paper employed Qualitative Document Analysis (QDA), to access information and gain insights on ATM and sustainable health care system. The study identified various areas of applications of ATM to sustainable health care system such as environmental prevention, management of chronic diseases, and meeting the health needs of all at affordable cost. Fundamentally, the inclusion of ATM in sustainable health care debate will assist in the world journey towards universal health coverage. The study draws from the theory of Knowledge Democracy (KD), and Pluriverse Theory. The paper concludes that sustainable health care will continue to fail unless WHO include ATM in their quest for universal health coverage. In order to maximise the potential contribution of TM to health and well-being, policymakers, healthcare practitioners, and the general public can benefit from the information provided in this article
