Inventory of hazardous substance concentrations in different environmental compartments in the Danube river basin

The data set contains an SQL-dump of a PostgreSQL data base. This data base contains concentrations of hazardous substances and other water quality parameters in different environmental compartments:

river water (water and suspended sediments)

ground water

waste water (treated and untreated) and sewage sludge

storm water runoff from combined and separate sewer systems

atmospheric deposition

soil

Data from many different data sources were collected, cheked and combined and meta data were harmonized to allow for a combined data evaluation.

The SQL-file was exported from a PostgreSQL 15.2 data base and compressed using 7zip into a zip-file (dhm3c_inventory.zip). Text-encoding is UTF-8.

A short documentation (documentation_inventory_db_V1.0.pdf) and a listof known issues with the data which could not be resolved before publication (List_of_known_issues_V1.0.pdf) are enclosed as PDF files.

FreiRad questionnaire survey of parents and their children's cycling test

Dataset description

+++ Survey motivation +++

A consortium comprising of the consultancies (1) klarFakt and (2) stape e.U. URBAN CONSULTING together with (3) Vienna University of Technology's Research center of Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering was commissioned by the Austrian federal Climate and Energy Fund to study the status quo of the Austrian voluntary cycling test for children. Within this study named "FreiRad - Voluntary Cycling Test for All Children" parents of school children were surveyed for their and their children's experiences with the voluntary cycling test. While this test is not compulsory, its successful completion allows children to cycle independently from the age of 10 onwards. In general, the Austrian road code permits independent cycling from the age of 12.

+++ Survey implementation +++

The online survey was implemented using the online polling tool www.surveymonkey.com. For different distribution methods different collector URLs were implemented - leading to the exact same survey. The survey was disseminated to potential participants via following methods/channels:

Through email addresses of all elementary schools that were provided by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education. School principals were kindly asked to distribute the corresponding collector among the parents of school children in the respective age group.

Through emails send to the provincial umbrella organisations of parents' associations. Therein the parents' associations were kindly asked to distribute the corresponding collector among the parents of their schools.

By sharing corresponding collectors over the consortium members' social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and asking potential participants to participate and to snowball the collector to other parents.

By sharing corresponding collectors among consortium members' peer parents.

+++ Survey duration +++

The survey was accessible during ten days in May of 2022.

+++ Project funding +++

Large parts of his research were funded by Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH within the funding scheme "Nachhaltige Mobilität in der Praxis" in the project "Freiwillige Radfahrprüfung für alle Kinder – FreiRad" (contract number: KR20NM0K18478).

+++ Files +++

(1) Survey questions in German:
fragebogen_EuE_final.pdf

(2) File of all participants' answers in German:
2022-07-20_EuE_alle-antworten_numerisch_final_DE_ex-Jahr.xlsx

(3) Translation file for questions and answers from German to English: 2023-05-15_EuE_fragen+antworten_uebersetzung-DE-EN_final.xlsx

+++ Data privacy +++

From file (2) Q02, the participant's year of birth was recalculated into 5 year age classes for reasons of data privacy.

RAAV - Results of the PT-STA accessibility analysis

Dataset description

As part of the project "RAAV - Rural Accessibility and Automated Vehicles" between the TU Vienna (Austria) and the EURAC institute (Bolzano, Italy), this file serves to summarise the results of a test of the PT-STA method in a comprehensible manner and to make them publicly available.

Context and methodology

An adaption of a classical STA accessibility analysis was formulated and the new method tested on a sample of over 100 individuals in Mühlwald, South Tyrol and over 100 individuals in Sooß, Lower Austria. The test is based on travel diaries, which have been attained in cooperation with and by interviewing said individuals.

To be as transparent as possible the data is provided in the Microsoft Excel format with all cell references. By doing this, we ensure that the data can also be used and adapted for other research. The travel diaries on which this research is based on can be accessed here: https://researchdata.tuwien.ac.at/records/hq7b7-xsa12

Technical details

The dataset contains one Microsoft Excel file containing multiple data sheets. All data from both regions, Mühlwald and Sooß were cumulated. In order to ensure data protection and anonymisation all names, addresses and coordinates of interviewed people, origins and destinations have been deleted from the dataset.

Other than Microsoft Excel, there is no additional software needed to investigate the data. The first datasheet gives an overview of abbreviations and data stored in each data sheet.

Phase diagram and superconductivity of Calcium Alanates under pressure

Context and methodology

This repository contains the data of the related paper on the high-pressure phase diagram and superconducting properties of Calcium Borohydrides (preprint). This dataset was created with the goal of facilitating the full reproducibility of the submitted article. The dataset was created by collecting and organizing manually the various calculations performed.

In short, the dataset contains:

The input/output files for Quantum ESPRESSO employed in the publication

The raw crystal structure dataset from the USPEX crystal structure prediction calculations

The raw data for the electronic structure and, where present, the raw data for the calculation of vibrational and superconducting properties

The code used for post-processing of the data into the figures reported in the related article

Technical details

The data is in plain text format and require no special software to be read, with the exception of crystal structures which are in the .vasp and .cif formats. For these the VESTA software from jp-minarals is recommended.

Additional information

Inside the compressed folder, a README file explains the data structure.

License

The CC-BY license applies to all the data. All distributed code is under the GNU GPL license.

Context and methodology

In this Publication, we describe a mechanochemical, solvent-free protocol for Tsuji–Trost allylation of O-, N-, and C-Nucleophiles using nontoxic, solid allyl trimethylammonium chloride as alternative allylating agent. This method features fast reaction kinetics, very low catalyst loadings, high yields, mild conditions, and high functional group tolerance. Its potential for late-stage modifications of bioactive compounds is demonstrated through multiple examples.

The publication and its Supporting Information can be found as open-access files on the publisher's website (see DOI above).

All detailed files containing the analytical raw data, for all compounds given in the Supporting Information of the manuscript are uploaded. An additional Word file named Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2024, 63, e202314637_compound number list.pdf is uploaded, that should clearly link the compound number given in the paper to the respective entry in the ELN (jotempl) and the respective analytical data files.
