The influence of some treatments with different products of phytosanitary usage (fungicides) on the attack of some phytopathogenic fungi and on the wheat production in the 2016 pedoclimatic conditions of the Eastern Baragan
The wheat is under attack of many pathogenic agents during the vegetation period. Out of these pathogenic agents, we
mention the following fungi in the Eastern Bărăgan area, in the year 2016: Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici which
produces wheat’s mildew, Puccinia recondita f. sp. tritici (sin. Puccinia triticina) (fig. 2) which produces wheat’s
brown rust and Septoria sp. which produces wheat’s brown leaf spotting (septoriosis) (fig. 3) (Velichi E. 2012). An
experiment was conceived in the year 2016, using 4 products of phytosanitary usage, as follows: ACANTO PLUS
(picoxistrobin + cyproconazole), EVOLUS (proquinazid + tebuconazole + prochloraz); BUMPER 250 EC
(propiconazole) and TOPSIN 500 SC (thiophanate-methyl) (Pest – Expert). This experiment consisted in 7 variants (6
variants with phytosanitary treatments in different combinations of products, plus an untreated control variant). The
experiment was placed in randomised blocks. The 7 variants had been placed in 6 repetitions. Among the pathogenic
agents monitored, the biggest attacks had been produced by Puccinia recondita f. sp. tritici fungi, which produces
wheat’s brown rust. For this, the first two leaves beneath the spike had been analysed. The observations have shown
that for all 6 variants of treatment, the degree of attack (D.A.%) of this rust had been lower than for the untreated
control variant. The productions of the treated variants (V1...V6) had been higher than the production of the untreated
control variant V7. The results of the variants’ productions had been statistically interpreted through the method of the
limit differences (LD %). Between the productions of some variants and the untreated control variant, there had been
obtained differences statistically assured
Effect of foliar application with salicylic acid on some morphological and physiological characteristics of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) under drought stress
Drought is an important
factor that could restrict plants growth and
productivity through several biological and
physiological processes. Salicylic acid (SA)
has a key role in many physiological
processes of plants and stimulate specific
responses against various stresses biotic and
abiotic, in some of plants. In order to
evaluate the effect of foliar application by
salicylic acid (SA) under drought stress on
some morphological characteristics sesame,
a split-plot experiment with a completely
random design with three replications was
performed. There were three levels of
irrigation: control (normal irrigations),
water stress at flowering stage and water
stress at seed production stage, as main plot
and sub plot consisting of four levels of the
foliar application of salicylic acid: 0
(control), 1, 1.5 and 2.25 mM. Results
indicated that the effects of water stress on
traits, such as plant height, height of first
capsule from soil surface, number of
branches, number of capsules per plant
showed significant difference at a level of
1%, while on the number of seeds per
capsule, seed weight, leaf area index,
biological yield, grain yield sesame, without
significant difference indicated. Foliar
application with salicylic acid was not so
significant (P< 0.05) at different
concentrations on measured traits, as well as
interactive effects between drought stress
and different amounts of salicylic acid,
without significant difference observed
Impact of glycine betaine on salinity tolerance of stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni) under in vitro condition
Stevia (Stevia
rebaudiana Bertoni), with great potential as
a natural sweeteners source, has a high
content of sweeteners, which are up to 150
times sweeter than sugar, but virtually with
no calories. Stevia also suitable to be
cultivated in semiarid climates and coastal
areas, which are characterized by the low
quality of the irrigation water. Soil salinity
occupies a prominent place among the soil
problems that threaten the sustainability of
agriculture over a vast area in the world.
Glycine betaine is an osmoprotectant, that
plays an important role and accumulates
rapidly in many plants during salinity or
drought stress. In order to evaluation of
glycine betaine amending effects on salinity
stress in stevia under in vitro condition, a
factorial experiment was conducted in 2015.
Four NaCl levels, including 0, 50, 75 and
100 mM, along with 0, 1, 12.5, 25 and 50
mM of glycine betaine concentrations were
used in Murashige and Skoog (MS)
medium. The results showed that salinity
levels had significant reduction effects on
plant height, root length, shoot fresh weight,
number of leaf, total chlorophyll,
rebaudioside A and stevioside of the stevia
genotype. Due to increasing of glycine
betaine, levels all the traits were increased.
Owing to amending effect of glycine
betaine, its high concentrations made less
hazarding effects of salinity on the
researched traits. The highest mean value of
rebaudioside A (10.62rt) and stevioside
(23.38rt) determined at 50 mM of glycine
betaine with 0 mM of NaCl concentration
Considerations on rehabilitation of monophilar pumping stations of the irrigation sprinkler plots
The paper presents an analysis of the directions of rehabilitation of the single-line pumping stations from aspersion
irrigation plots. The single-line pumping station consists of one or two pumping units supplied from a canal. Each
pumping unit supplies a distribution pipeline equipped with irrigation hydrants. The rehabilitation and modernization
has been differentiated on the structural and functional components: foundations, hydromechanical technological line,
power supply system, monitoring and automation system. The case study was prepared for an irrigation plot located in
the Moldavian area (Plot 7, Doniceasa Falciu, Vaslui County). The irrigation plot has 1222 ha and is equipped with 15
single-line pumping stations. The pumps type is 6 NDS and has the parameters: flow rate 241 - 345 m3
/h, pressure 6.5 -
7.5 bar and power 75 - 110 kW. The paper presents two options for the rehabilitation of the pumping stations: a -
equipping with horizontal pumps; b - equipping with vertical pump
Research on metabolic status in periparturient cows
In the experiment, hematological and blood biochemical parameters were determined in a batch of 5 cows in the last week of gestation (Group 1) and 5 cows in the first week after calving (Group 2). Cows are clinically healthy and come from a farm where the milk production per fed animal is about 30 liters/day, cows being milked 3 times per day. Hematologic parameters were found within physiological limits, but in both groups the monocytes were found to be low, and in group 1, mild lymphopenia was detected. Investigated blood biochemical parameters allowed to assert that in cows in the last week of gestation, bilirubin was found to be significantly increased when recently-bred cows were within normal limits. In both lots, LDH was found to be significantly increased. Metabolic status also determined the protein fractions by means of electrophoresis: 10 samples were analyzed (Group 3 consisting of 5 cows in the last week of gestation and Group 4 consisting of 5 cows in the first week after calving). The values of the protein fractions were within the physiological limits and the Albumin/Globulin Ratio was found within physiological limits in group 3 and lower in group 4, which confirms gamma globulin reactivation immediately after calving
Cercetări privind uzura şi fiabilitatea maşinilor pentru combaterea bolilor şi dăunătorilor din plantaţiile viticole
The HERBST ED-900 stand functioning isbased on the liquid collection on each nozzle of the herbicide sprayer in vineyards and orchards by means of collectors that are mounted on each nozzle of the machine. Usingthis stand one can test sprayers for vineyards and orchards with 10 nozzles each, on a ramp. After the measurements made on the herbicide sprayer in vineyards and orchards, the liquid quantities collected in each cylinder are partially transmitted to the computer through the wireless system and are stored in a data basis. From here they may be either accessed as absolute values and sent in a text file, or a graph of the distribution variation may immediatelly be visualized
Influenţa stresului salin asupra conţinutului de acid ascorbic (vitamina c) din fructele unor genotipuri de tomate din Nord-Estul României
Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is an organic acid with antioxidant properties, involved in a number of processes taking place in living cells. Through their efforts to adapt to the saline stress, plants have to increase the antioxidant level by increasing, mainly, the ascorbic acid. The research was conducted under greenhouse condition. The biological material was represented by seven local tomatoes populations collected from areas with saline soils from Moldavia region and compared with commercial type salt-tolerant tomato.Tomato genotypes in the study were subjected to salt stress for a period of 30 days is constantly wetted with saline solution to a concentration of 100 mM and 200 mM.The content of vitamin C in fruit was determined by using the titrimetric method. The research on the vitamin C content from tomatoes fruit showed that, as the concentration saline increases, the concentration of ascorbic acid raises too
Research on the behavior of some winter wheat cultivars at the attack of pathogens under natural infection condition, in the Northeast area of Moldova
Wheat crop are damaged by numerous pathogens which cause diseases which produce quantitative and qualitative yield
losses under Moldovian area pedoclimatic conditions. It is well know that wheat is one of the most important crop for
world agriculture and the continuous diversification of the wheat range varieties can be an effective measure for
increasing and stabilizing wheat production. This paper presents the research results concerning the behavior of 32
Romanian winter wheat cultivars, based on the data obtained during 2015-2017, performing at Didactic Station Iasi -
Ezăreni Farm. The research was designed according to the randomized block method in three replications, containing
25 variants; every variant was represented by one of the winter wheat cultivars. The control variant of the experience
was the Bezostaia 1 wheat variety. The winter wheat varieties under study exhibited a wide variability over the studied
factors. During the study period, the pathogens present in the winter wheat crop were represented by Blumeria graminis
f.sp. tritici (DC) Speer., Septoria tritici Rob. et Desm. and Puccinia recondita f.sp. tritici Rob. et Desm. The degree of
attack (DA%) of pathogens were determined with frequency (F%) and intensity (I%) of attack
Noi soiuri de cireş pentru plantaţiile pomicole din România
In the last ten years was been introduced into the orchards of Romania new autochthonous sweet cherry cultivars or from the foreign assortment. Research was conducted during 2014-2016 at three Romanian new obtained cultivars as ‘Andreias’, ‘Alexus’ and ‘Mihailis’ and two introduced sweet cherry cultivars as ‘Kordia’ (Czech Republic) and ‘Van’ (Canada). An other cultivar, ‘Boambe de Cotnari’ (Romania) was evaluated. ‘Boambe de Cotnari’ is an old cultivar very spread in Romania butstill demanded by producers. Some parameters related to phenological stages and fruit characteristics were determined. Sweet cherry cultivars taken into study registered fruit weight value as 7.72 g (as average 2014-2016) and soluble solids content as 14.53 Brix
