Effect of different nitrogen doses on some autumn wheat production
One of the most important ways to increase production of wheat is the application of fertilizers. Grain production at
wheat is largely determined by the administration of nitrogen fertilizers, in close interdependence with the specific
conditions of the year, the state of vegetation in winter entrance and its resumption in spring. Noteworthy is the fact
that from the unfertilized agricultural fund N0P0 (mt) to the N80P70 was obtained an increase of 1628 kg / ha. This
increase is reduced to 1144 kg/ha between N80P70 and N120P70 agricultural fund and 452 kg/ha between N120P70
and N160P70. With regard to the specific reaction at fertilizers application of different levels of fertility, Otilia had best
capitalizes on the increasing nitrogen, achieving an increase (the average of the three agricultural funds) of 1068 kg/ha
compared to Pitar control variety. The interaction between wheat varieties and fertilization doses revealed the Otilia
variety and the N160P70 fertilization dose, with a yield of 8190 kg /ha. Concerning the behavior of varieties at
increasing doses of chemical fertilizers, we find that the nine analyzed varieties obtain very significant production
increases
Modificarea unor parametri chimici pentru diferite tipuri de lapte în condiţii de păstrare la rece
Milk is one of the main foods especially in the diet of small children but not only theirs. In addition to consumption as pasteurized or high-temperature treated (UHT) milk, it is a raw material for making cheeses, yoghurts, other milk products, and many products in which it is used . It is an accessible source of calcium but also of fat, protein, lactose, other mineral substances, vitamins and enzymes. The fresh product being perishable is treated thermally to prolong the shelf life. The present paper analyzes the variation of different chemical parameters (pH, acidity, lactose content) under storage conditions at 4°C, and also the dry matter and nitrates contents for different types of milk marketed or distributed for consumption
Black point incidence in some winter wheat varieties cultivated in North-Eastern Romania
Black point is a common disease in all wheat growing regions of the world and is an important quality defect of the
wheat kernel. Black point can be characterized by a dark brown to black discoloration of the pericarp and testa,
primarily embryo sides of the grains. Wheat kernel black point disease is associated with many microorganisms, both
fungi or bacteria, but those most usually responsable for these symptoms are species of the fungus Alternaria alternata,
Cochliobolus sativus, Fusarium graminearum, Aspergillus spp., Penicillium spp.. This study was undertaken to
investigate the incidence of black point on some winter wheat cultivars in the nord-est area of Romania. Twenty-eight
(Triticum aestivum L.) winter wheat varieties were compared for reaction to black point in a 2-years field trials. There
were individual varietal differences in black point incidence within each of the varieties
Rezultate preliminarii privind electro-stimularea ritmului fiziologic prin utilizarea curentului continuu la ardeiul gras
The goal of this research was to study the usefulness of the continuous current in a sweet pepper crop, the process that aims to accelerate the rhythm of flowering, fructification and ripening, obtaining more early harvests in conditions of food safety that does not affect consumers' health. Thus, by connecting the plant to a continuous current that will generate a negatively charged mangentic field, it stimulates the absorption from the soil of the essential mineral elements in terms of good development of plant growth and development. The method consists in creating a flow of electrons circulating from the plant's base to the top. This field that will be loaded in turn with negative electrical load, has the property to attract positively charged electrical loads. The most favourable results were achieved in the case of a continuous current of 1.5 V, the positive pole being located in the apical area, and the negative one being inserted at the base of the plant's stem
Relaţia dintre urbanism şi peisagistică
From the simplest forms of habitation organization to the most complex human settlements, it can be seen how nature was or was not integrated into urban space. A human settlement cannot be reduced to a simple accumulation of construction. The outer space or the space between constructions has specific functions and is governed by specific laws. The importance of this space in the complex structure of human settlements can be highlighted by reviewing the history of urbanism. In this process of evolution of the spatial component, an important role is played by the passageways or the urban transition areas. These areas are those where green spaces and/or landscaped zones are gradually emerging, increasingly performing more and more important functions. Why in this early age of the new millennium landscaping process has become an extremely effective tool of the urban science? Because in the context of accelerated pollution and degradation of the Earth, the urban regeneration is possible by interfering the urban and landscaping means of action, through functional solutions stemming from the real needs of the environment and inhabitants
Comparative study of antioxidants in fresh and frozen blueberries and cranberries fruits
The beneficial effect of blueberries and cranberries consumption is largely due to the high content
of biomolecules with antioxidant properties, the most important are vitamins (especially vitamin C and
provitamins A - carotenoids), anthocyanins and phenolic compounds. The purpose of this work is to
determine how the blueberry and cranberry preservation at -80ºC influence the antioxidant content of these
fruits. The biochemical parameters analyzed were as follows: anthocyanin pigments (total anthocyanin
extraction and dosing, anthocyanin profile by TLC and HPLC chromatography); carotenoid pigments (total
carotenoid extraction and dosing, carotenoid profile by HPLC); determination of ascorbic acid and total
phenolic compounds. Antioxidants profile is different in blueberry and cranberry, both of quality and
quantitative point of view. Preserving berries by freezing them for a period of time between 1 and 3 months
induce different changes in the content of specific antioxidants: the concentration of vitamin C and
anthocyanin pigments decreases, simultaneously with an increase in concentration of polyphenols and
carotenoids
Compoziţia floristică şi indicii de diversitatea speciilor lemnoase din pădurea Făget, Cluj-Napoca, nord vestul României
Periurban forests and urban green spaces provide an extremely useful ecological infrastructure for modern cities. The study of woody species diversity in Făget Forest, located near Cluj-Napoca city, in N-W of Romania, highlighted the consolidated diversity of trees species, but also floristic communities resulted as from the natural evolution and interactions with environmental and anthropic factors. Although the diversity of woody species in Făget Forest calculated by diversity indices appear limited or low (Shannon-Wiener < 1), the communities have been strengthened over time, consequently the conservation status of the habitat type in terms of structure and specific functions appear as stable. The preservation of Făget Forest diversity, as well as its economic, ecological, cultural, landscape, recreationaland other forest functions can assure important benefits to the city and its inhabitants
Diversity of nontuberculous mycobacteria isolated from animal samples
Limited data is available regarding the epidemiology of the nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) in Romania, in both human and veterinary medicine. The objective of the present study was the identification and characterization of the Mycobacterium avium complex species isolated from backyard poultry and ruminant samples. The molecular identification and genotyping was performed in ANSES, Laboratory for Animal Health, Maisons-Alfort, France, by real time PCR, with a wide range of targets: hsp65, IS6110, IS1081, IS1245, IS901 and MIRU-VNTR. M. avium avium and
M. avium paratuberculosis were the two species identified. Five different profiles were obtained through genotyping, four of which had corresponding INMV (INRA Nouzilly MIRU-VNTR) profiles: INMV 2, INMV 67, INMV 99 and INMV
100. The technique differentiated between the M. avium paratuberculosis isolated from sheep and cattle and expressed a high discriminatory power, proving to be extremely useful for assessing the genetic diversity of the tested animal origin samples and providing comparable information on the general structure and main pathogens belonging to MAC
Physical and mechanical properties of some peanut varieties grown in Mediterranean environment
Peanut is one of the most
important oil crops in Turkey and grown
mainly in Adana, Osmaniye and Aydın
provinces. Five peanut cultivars (NC-V11,
Halisbey, Arioglu 2003, Sultan and
Osmaniye 2005), mostly grown in Turkey,
were analyzed for the physical and
mechanical characteristics of pods to select
the most promising candidate. The average
length, width, thickness, the geometric mean
diameter, sphericity index and rupture force
were studied. The results indicated that all
the studied traits were varied significant
among the varieties. Thus, a significant
extent of genetic diversity was observed
among the peanut cultivars under study.
Shelling percentage values were varied
between 65.7 - 71.6%. The highest shelling
percentage was obtained at NC-V11 variety,
while the lowest value was obtained at
Sultan. The variety NC-V11, Halisbey,
Arioglu 2003, Sultan and Osmaniye 2005
showed the average lengths of 42.27, 44.68,
46.17, 49.39 and 44.57 mm; width of 16.00,
17.90, 17.57, 17.45, and 17.92 mm;
thickness of 17.33; 18.68; 18.54, 18.42, and
19.10 mm, respectively. Rupture force and
stiffness values of peanuts depend on the
cultivars and varied from 191.06 to 253.19
N and 129715.61 to 184954.67 N/m as
higher and lower values, respectively. The
varieties Arioglu 2003, Halisbey and Sultan
have lower rupture force and stiffness
values. On the other hand, NC-V-11 and
Osmaniye-2005 varieties have higher value
of rupture force and stiffness. These
findings indicated that these two varieties
need to more energy for hull rupture. But, in
the same time, it played an important role
for storage. The NC-V-11 variety achieved
the highest values of rupture force than
others. Some varieties had thick and strong
hull, while some other had thin and weak
Unele aspecte privind lupta împotriva dăunătorilor din culturile de cereale în condiţile Republicii Moldova
Scientific research over several years has shown that the productivity of grain crops declines considerably both quantitatively and qualitatively under the influence of various harmful organisms, the population often outweighing the economic threshold of harm.Of the entire range of insect pest species, a special place and a primordial economic importance have the grubby beetle of grain. It is considered the most dangerous pest of autumn paws. Attacks numerous cultivated and spontaneous grasses, causing greater damage to wheat, barley, rye. It attacks both the adult and the larva, but produces particularly large damage to the larvae. Adults attack all the spinal organs. The biggest damage is caused by the larvae attacking the leaves, especially in the winter wheat, with a characteristic attack. They do not rotate the leaves, but chew them in the mouthpiece, extracting cellulite juice. The larval attack at first occurs in the form of winds, which gradually increase and encompass the entire culture. In large invasions, the sowing can be completely destroyed
