On subpolygroup commutativity degree of finite polygroups
Probabilistic group theory is concerned with the probability of group elements or group subgroups satisfying certain conditions. On the other hand, a polygroup is a generalization of a group and a special case of a hypergroup. This paper generalizes probabilistic group theory to probabilistic polygroup theory. In this regard, we extend the concept of the subgroup commutativity degree of a finite group to the subpolygroup commutativity degree of a finite polygroup . The latter measures the probability of two random subpolygroups of commuting (i.e., ). First, using the subgroup commutativity table and the subpolygroup commutativity table, we present some results related to the new defined concept for groups and for polygroups. We then consider the special case of a polygroup associated to a group. We study the subpolygroup lattice and relate this to the subgroup lattice of the base group; this includes deriving an explicit formula for the subpolygroup commutativity degree in terms of the subgroup commutativity degree. Finally, we illustrate our results via non-trivial examples by applying the formulas that we prove to the associated polygroups of some well-known groups such as the dihedral group and the symmetric grou
Effect of Gender and Muscle Type on Fatty Acid Profile, Sanogenic Indices, and Instrumental and Sensory Analysis of Flemish Giant Rabbit Meat
The aim of this study was to represent quality characterization, by gender and muscle type, of rabbit meat from the Flemish Giant (FG) breed, following the fatty acid profile, sanogenic indices, and instrumental (color and texture) and sensory analysis. The biological material comprised 40 rabbits (20 females and 20 males) whose Longissimus dorsi (LD) and Semimembranosus (SM) muscles were sampled. Compared to female samples, the meat from males was more qualitative in terms of higher ratios of polyunsaturated vs. saturated fatty acids and proportions (+42%) of Essential and Desirable Fatty Acids (+21.6% EFA; +6.7% DFA). Also, the Atherogenic Index (AI) and Thrombogenic Index (TI) were better in males (−37.1% AI; −34.3% TI), as were the ratio of hypocholesterolemic/Hypercholesterolemic fatty acids (+27.8%) and the Nutritive Value Index (NVI, +11.6%). The Polyunsaturation Index (PI) was higher for females (+57.5%), with the widest differences in hind leg muscles (SM muscles), while the omega-6/omega-3 fatty acid ratio was also better (+11.3%). Female meat was more tender due to lower shear force (−6.2%… 9.3%) in both muscles. Female meat was less pigmented than that of males, while the overall sensory attributes were better scored in male samples (+3.1%… +7.1%) (p < 0.01). The meat of males proved to be more sanogenic (richer in EFA and DFA, with a better h/H ratio and NVI, while AI and TI were lower). We would recommend slaughtering 3–4 weeks earlier in females vs. males to avoid excessive fat deposition and, consequently, the development of unfavorable sanogenic indices for consumer health
Quantitative genetic analysis of phenolic acids in oilseed rape meal
Rapeseed meal, a by-product of oilseed extraction related to the agri-food and biofuel industries due to its favourable composition of essential amino acids, is currently utilised for animal feed. In this study, 166 doubled haploid (DH) rapeseed lines from the segregating Brassica napus doubled haploid population YE2-DH were genetically and chemically analysed for phenolic acids. The relationship between seed colour and phenolic acid fractions in B. napuswas investigated using these analyses to improve the quality of rapeseed meal. High-performance liquid chromatography assays were used to estimate phenolic acid content, and the outcomes were used to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL). Nine quantitative feature loci for three distinct phenolic acid compounds were mapped to seven linkage groups. A minor QTL for sinapine was located on linkage group C05 in the same interval as the QTL for seed colour. On chromosome A09, two loci for phenolic acids colocalised with the main QTL for seed colour. Closely linked molecular markers for the target traits (seed colour, phenolic acids) identified during this study could be useful tools for breeding new oilseed rape cultivars with lower levels of antinutritive compounds

Mineral oil hydrocarbons (MOH) analysis in animal feed: a characterization based on modern pollution
This research aims to confirm and quantify the presence of mineral oil hydrocarbons (MOHs) in feed, as well to investigate the contribution of modern pollution sources to the level of contamination. Through simultaneous processes of microwave assisted saponification (MAS), extraction and purification procedures, followed by the LC-GC-FID detection, 8 types of feeds from one of the most polluted areas of the country were analyzed. The results indicated contamination with MOH for most of the feed samples, mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH) concentrations above the recommended limits (0.5 mg/kg) being recorded. The data indicated moderate to high contamination for MOSH, from 16.5 mg/kg to 77.3 mg/kg, while average values below the limit of quantification (< LOQ) were highlighted for mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH) content. Based on the results, was difficult to establish a clear relationship between feed contamination, crop location and different pollution sources. However, the information obtained by assessing the relationship between feed contamination and pollution, indicated that the pollution sources from the plotting area had an important contribution to the contamination of the analyzed feedstuffs
Quality and Yield of Edible Vegetables from Landscape Design
This study evaluated the effects of raised beds on crop production and quality in home gardens. The crops were grown using optimal management techniques and crop rotation principles based on organic farming. Three experimental versions were compared: V1 with 40-centimetre-high raised beds, V2 with 20-centimetre-high raised beds, and V3 with ground-level beds as the control. The results showed consistent dry weight and moisture content across all three versions for most vegetable varieties. The sweet pepper ‘Barbara’ stood out significantly, as V3 had the highest dry weight percentage (10.28%) and V2 had the highest moisture content percentage (93.40%). Nutrient analysis revealed no significant differences in lipid, ash, protein, nitrogen, or caloric value among the different versions of most vegetables. However, version V3 of the tomato ‘Tigerella’ showed the highest crude fibre content. Variations were observed in lycopene, ß-carotene, and calcium content among different versions of specific vegetables. Anti-nutritive compounds and average yield varied among the experimental versions for certain plant species. These findings have implications for dietary choices and can guide sustainable food production. It is recommended to consider raised beds, particularly V3, for cultivating sweet pepper ‘Barbara’, and further research is encouraged to explore the potential health benefits of version V3 of tomato ‘Tigerella’. These insights provide valuable vegetable science and nutrition information and can guide agricultural practices

possibilities of reducing seed dormancy
using seed pretreatment via the application
of sulphuric acid and hot water and then
phosphorus for better seedling growth. Seeds
pretreated with sulphuric acid had a
significantly (P˂0.05) increased germination
rate (by 60%) compared to seeds pretreated
with hot water (40%). The application of
phosphorus fertilizer stimulated the early
growth of the species. This research provides
information for practical use

their influence on consumer preferences and choices. Studying these aspects is becoming increasingly important to
better understand consumer buying behaviour and to develop effective marketing and promotion strategies for local
products. The purpose of this research is to explore the significance of various food attributes and motivational factors
that influence the purchasing decisions of Romanian consumers regarding local food products. By examining the key
factors that drive consumers to choose locally sourced products, we can gather valuable information about their
preferences, attitudes, and behaviours. Through comprehensive research in these areas, we can gain a better
understanding of the dynamics of the local food market in Romania. This knowledge can be invaluable for food
producers, marketers, decision-makers, and consumers alike. It can contribute to supporting the growth of the local
food sector, promoting sustainable and healthy eating habits, and contributing to the overall well-being of consumers
and the Romanian agricultural industry. Culture, through traditions, consumption habits, values, and norms,
significantly influences purchasing and food consumption behaviour. A nation's culture refers to behavioural patterns,
economic and social ideas and activities of individuals and remains stable in the short and medium term while
changing slowly in the long term. Cultural changes from one generation to another are almost imperceptible.
Consumption habits are influenced by a nation's cultural norms, which are passed down vertically from one generation
to the next. Thus, we can appreciate that consumption habits change very slowly over time. Beyond the strong
traditional nature of buying and food consumption behaviour, the influence of culture in shaping this behaviour varies
in intensity depending on the age and even the living environment of individuals. In the era where "globalization of
food" has become a fundamental component of the overall globalization process, a new concept, "locavorism," seeks
to mitigate the wave of importing food from distant lands and countries
Analysis of the influence of farm machinery fleet monitoring systems on farm performance
The progress of agriculture is strongly influenced by the shortage of labor and land resources, leading to the
transformation of modern agriculture into a highly mechanized and automated form. It has been observed that in recent
years the use of intelligent agricultural machinery and agricultural robots has increased significantly in agricultural
work. The research carried out aims to highlight the impact of farm equipment fleet monitoring systems on operational
management on a farm. By analyzing the various monitoring systems available and evaluating them in terms of
efficiency, productivity, and profitability, we can derive an appropriate strategy for the farm. Observation and analysis
were the research methods applied to assess the impact of using monitoring systems. Thus, a series of data were
monitored and interpreted concerning: agricultural work carried out by a machine, working time, area worked, fuel
consumption, how the machine was operated by the mechaniser, etc. The results of the work showed that the
implementation of a monitoring system can bring important benefits in cost and resource management, making this
investment an efficient and sustainable solution for farmers
Cornhusk powders as adsorbents for nitrites in solution: a thermodynamic and kinetic approach
The retention of nitrite ions in
solutions of different concentrations by three
cornhusks-based powders was analyzed.
Natural cornhusk powder (NCHP), as waste
obtained from local market, the alkalized
cornhusk powder (ACHP) and the biochar
from the original material (CHBC) have
been characterized through scanning electron
microscopy (SEM) and elemental
composition EDAX - TEAM analysis
(Energy dispersive analysis X-ray - Texture
and ele-mental analytical microscopy) and
tested for the removal of nitrite ions. The
influence of initial nitrite concentration and
contact time was studied under slow stirring
rate conditions (150 rpm). For all three
adsorbents both Freundlich and Langmuir
isotherm equations described the process
with R2 > 0.95, denoting physical adsorption
and chemisorption on the surface. The
estimated retained quantities (mg·g-1)
determined from isotherms were 4.4783
(NCHP), 8.3542 (ACHP) and 8.7413
(CHBC). The Ho&McKay model was better
adjusted to the adsorption data with R2 >
0.985, while the Lagergren model produced
regression factors between 0.61 and 0.88.
Considering the biggest concentration of
nitrite solution of 50 mg·L-1 and the longest
contact time of 150 minutes, the equilibrium
capacity qe (mg·g-1) predicted by the
Ho&McKay model for the considered
adsorbents were: 4.5065 (NCHP), 8.5179
(ACHP) and 8.9445 (CHBC) compared to
the obtained qt (mg·g-1) of 4.4384 (NCHP),
8.0685 (ACHP) and 8.5753 (CHBC). The
nitrite uptake in the experiments reached a
maximum of 2.2192 mg·g-1 on NCHP, 4.0342 mg·g-1 on ACHP and 4.2877 mg·g-1
on CHBC. Considering the cost-effective
treatment steps, there is the possibility of
valorising an important amount of waste as
adsorbent materials
