The scientific research in the field of vine improvement, with a permanent role in the diversification the assortments of vine, is oriented both to the creation of new qualitative and productive genotypes, but also to the obtaining of genotypes with increased resistance to diseasesand tolerance to stress factors. In order to respond to this goal, at R.D.S.V.O. Odobeşti, through the hybridization directed between the intraspecific hybrid(Băbească neagră x Fetească neagră) and the interspecific hybrid Couderc 14 (Vitis lincecumii x Aramon)has been obtained and homologated in 2016 the assortment called Remus. The new creation is characterized by small to medium sized grapes (167g), small berry (1.9 g), with crisp core and dark red-purple coloured skin, the pulp is firm, semi-soft, very slightly colored. The average grape productionis 4.0kg/vin, respectively 15.5tons/ha. It presents high biological resistance to major cryptogamic diseases. The grapes reach maturity in the epoch V. Are obtained the rose or red wines for current consumationorhigh quality, with anaverage alcoholic potential (11.5 –12.0% alcohol by volume), relatively low acidity (5.8-6.8 g/Ltartaric acid), and mean values of the non-reducing extract (17.9 -19.5 g/L)

As part of the research on sustainable development in the present paper, the methodology used was complex, including instruments and methods specific to social, economic and statistical studies. In the paper I described the methodological approach of the sustainable development assessment starting from the concept, purpose, stages and structure of the research to the statistical methods and indicators used. Within this paper, we aim to identify and design the necessary measures to improve the organization of organic farms so as to eliminate the technical and economic risks to which they are exposed. In our approach to identifying these measures, we have carried out comparative analyzes between the holdings taken as case studies, both in terms of organization and efficiency. Based on these analyzes, we designed measures to be implemented within the three identified organizational models so as to ensure greater efficiency in organic farming. In the work, we aim to compare the advantages and disadvantages of the organization of the four analyzed farms, starting from the analyzed subsystems of management. We have transposed these conclusions into a SWOT analysis that integrates the positive, negative, opportunities and risks to which organic holdings have been organically exposed

Note: Recording of some beetles in honey bee colonies

    No full text
Honey bees are very valuable to human. These social insects contribute in the pollination of many crops. Also, the products from honey bee colonies have many nutritional and medicinal benefits. Thus, keeping honey bees are very valuable and can be considered as source of income to many families. There are many diseases and pests that attack honey bee colonies. The pests attack bee colonies include: hornets, wax moths, bee-eater birds, and beetles. Such challenges can impact the survival and productivity of honey bee colonies. In this study, some beetle species belong to Fam. Nitidulidae, Dermestidae and Mycetophagidae were detected in honey bee colonies in Egypt, during spring. Despite the presence of many beetle species in the agricultural environment, only few species preferred the invasion of the colonies for feeding. These beetles do not attack stages of honey bees. They only feed on stored pollen or bee bread, especially those fallen on the bottom of the beehives. This is an alarm to follow the feeding behavior and distribution of these beetles. These beetles’ species can be considered as potential pests to weak honey bee colonies, housed in old or damaged beehives. The presence of large numbers of these beetles in weak colonies may disturb the activities of the bees and may passively impact the survival of the colonies. Listing these beetles is very important to better understanding the interaction between honey bees and beetles. On the other side, small hive beetles were not detected in the colonies. These beetles are currently one of the major problems facing honey bees in different parts of the world. This study confirms the absence of small hive beetles from Egypt

n the article are presented the results ofthe research onthe genetic effects involved in the manifestation of some quantitative characters to tomatoes. It has been established that the various actions (aditive -a, dominant -d) and epistatic interactions (aa, ad, dd) of the genes vary in their degree and orientation (+/-), and depend on the combination, traits and participate to the inheritance of morphobiological and agronomic traits of tomatoes. Duplicate epistasis play an important role in forming the phenotype of these characters in most combinations. As a result of the clustering analysis of the degree of association of the characters mean in the F2 population with the investigated gene effects, it was found that in all cases, the F2media displayed a high associative association with epistasis ad. The broad spectrum of gene effects involved in the formation of the phenotype of morphobiological and agronomic features highlights their genetic basis which considerably contributes to the targereof tomato breeding

The researches were carried out in the Adamachi station which belongs to “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Iasi, Romania. The biological material was sampled by means of the Barber soil traps from 3rd of June until 13th of September 2016. In total, 15 samples were made for every crop. The traps were placed every five in a row. To prevent the maceration of insects, a conservative liquid was used (water+ washing powder) in proportion of 16%. After finishing the experiments, the insects were bringing to the laboratory of Entomology in order to be counted and determined. From the Coleoptera order, the most dominant species are:-within the crop of maize: Amara aenea (Carabidae)-5 samples; Coccinella septempunctata (Coccinellidae)-15 samples;-within the crop of cabbage:Brachinus crepitans(Carabidae)-9 samples

Computed tomography examination of periodontal disease in dog

    Get PDF
Periodontal disease is a very common disease in dogs, with an incidence of 85%, which affects both the health and the quality of life of the animals (Shearer, 2010, Kortegaard et al 2014). Dog periodontitis has become a priority disease for both pet owners and practitioners. Taking in consideration the high incidence of the periodontal disease in dogs and the fact that the clinical diagnostic is limited, the aim of this study was to highlight the role and importance of imaging diagnostic tools such as Computed Tomography in the diagnostic of this pathology. The study was conducted on 20 dogs (30% female and 70% male) with age from 1 year to 12 years. The patients were clinically examined and after that were sedated and a radiographic evaluation and a CT scan of the head was performed. Classification of periodontal disease take in consideration the retraction of alveolar bone and formation of periodontal pocket, retraction of alveolar bone was visible on CT examination compared to radiographic examination in which the overlapping of bony structures of the mandible and maxilla make the bone retraction less evident. Computed tomography examination is more accurate than radiography, giving the possibility to evaluate all the roots of the teeth and bone retraction, and come to complete the clinical evaluation
