Application of infrared Thermography in rabbit orthopaedic models
The rectal or internal temperature (BT) is a reference method for body temperature. BT and ear temperature (BTear) were recorded in rabbit orthopaedic experimental model - White New Zeeland rabbits (N = 14), for a six day post-surgery period. Ear (BTear) temperature measured with infrared thermography (IRT) camera was compared with rectal body temperature (BT) measured with digital thermometer. Each BTear and BT methods were studied by analysis of variance and for BT classes such as: hypothermia (BTh≥ than 38,5оC), normothermia (BTn) and hyperthermia or fever (BTf ≥ 40,0 оC). Mean differences, linear regression and Pearson correlation were analysed. BTear was positively correlated with rectal temperature (BT); r=+0.579 at p <0.001. The regression equation model was statistically acceptable (p<0.001) and value of internal body temperature can be estimated on ITR measurements by relation: BT (оC) = 25.498 + BTear x 0.361 with R2=0.336. This study demonstrates that IRT technology, a passive and non-contact technology can be effectively used for estimating BT changes in rabbits
Clostridium perfringens enterotoxigen involved in hemorrhagic diarrhea at dogs
Clostridium perfringens is a commensal of the human and animal intestines. The toxigenic strains of this bacterial species are responsible for some enteral diseases in humans and domestic animals. In dogs, hemorrhagic enteritis produced by Clostridium perfringens are sporadic but have a severe progression-restricted progression. In the year 2018, 9 faeces samples were taken from dewormed dogs, vaccinated but with enteritis and associated toxic conditions (vomiting, lethargy, diminished appetite) that started suddenly without any other clinical history. Based on the anamnesis, it excluded the risk of chemical poisoning. Faeces samples were subjected to the microbiological exam. The bacterioscopic examination in Gram stained smears was predominantly Gram positive bacilli with morphology and characteristic disposition for Clostridium sp and no specific morphological phenotypes for spirochetes or protozoa were identified. The samples were incubated at 37° C, under anaerobic conditions, on liquid culture media (bullion VL) and solids (Clostridium agar, SPS agar) and under aerobic conditions on culture media for aerobic bacteria (nutrient broth, blood agar) (E. coli, Salmonella sp., Shigella sp., Campylobacter sp., Yersinia sp., Serpulina sp., Vibrio sp., etc.) which can trigger enteritis in dogs. Following the bacteriological examination, strains of Clostridium sp. Biochemical tests have included the species as Clostridium perfrigens. The clinical progression in the 9 patients was different: 6 dogs responded to antibiotic therapy, recommended on the basis of the antibiotic, and 3 dogs died within 48 hours before a treatment was instituted
The mountain product in the equation of the local economies
Taking into account their specificity (being characterised by physical and by structural disadvantages), the mountains
need adapted policies, as a consequence of the social, economic and environmental changes. The mountain areas
need innovative solutions in order to diversify their economies and to care for their precious environmental and
cultural resources. For the development of the mountain area the current challenges in social, economic and
environmental challenges should be considered. The mountain area is known for a low degree of pollution, which
adds value to the foods produced in this region, a phenomenon already perceived by the market. The mountain
products, traditional, ecological and of high quality, have great capacity to contribute to the developments of the local
communities, from an economic and social point of view, and raising the awareness of the farmers and the general
public on their economic potential, as well as the importance of maintaining the biodiversity and the traditional
agricultural practices, represents the starting point for the economic development of the mountain area. The use of the
optional quality term” mountain product” by the local producers of agri-food products could engourage consumers,
by gaining their trust and by offering them the guarantee for consumption. This will have positive effects on the
development and will increase the competitivity of the farms and the farmers’ income, thus ensuring the technical
progress of the mountain area. The mountain products have a large capacity to contribute to the development of the
local communities, from an economic and social point of view, and raising the awareness of the farmers and the
general public on their economic potential and on the importance of maintaining the biodiversity and the traditional
agricultural practices, represents the starting point for the sustainable development of the mountain areas
Rezutate preliminare privind determinarea conţinutului de apă în plantele pătlăgele vinete
The present paper places plants as a coordinating element in the irrigation ensemble, where they can provide data on moisture and can achieve numerically the limits to which their biological systems operate optimally. The genesis of this system is based on the intensity of the electrical current measured between the two electrodes, intensity which is in relation to indirect proportionality with the hydric deficit measured at the sap level. The plant's water supply was measured using two electrodes, represented by medicinal needles specifically treated to prevent oxidation during use. In order to highlight the currents of low intensity, a galvanometer was used.On the basis of this method were performed measurements demonstrating the decrease of the intensity of electrical conductivity inversely proportionate to the water content, the average in the group subjected to stress hydric (L2) on day 3 with the value of 6.22 Amp, gradually decreasing the As the period during which it was subjected to a hydric deficit increased, reaching 3.92 Amp on day 4, 2.54 Amp on day 5 and 1.67 Amp on Day 6, compared to the normal average of 6.35 Amp.On the last day, the stage in which the group subjected to a lack of water (L2) was hydrated, a return was found in terms of the intensity values at the average of 3.44 Amp, which strengthens the relationship between the variation of the two characteristics
Cercetari privind conservarea si gestionarea biodiversitatii in agroecosistemul viticol din Podgoria Dealul Bujorului
The paper presents the research carried out at the Bujoru Viticulture and Wine Research and Development Station between 2016 and 2017. Research has focused on conservation and enhancement of functional and planned biodiversity through the implementation of all bio-resources of the greenhouse system and multifunctional protection areas, which are conducive to reducing the pathological risks and reducingexternal inputs (diesel, pesticides). Assessment of the state of conservation of biodiversity in the viticultural ecosystem of pogoria Dealul Bujorului.Biodiversity is a specific feature of our planet that ensures the optimal functioning of ecosystems, the existence and development of the biosphere in general. Lately, the issue of protecting biodiversity at ecosystems, species and populations has become increasingly vital to reducing the human impact on the biosphere. The viticultural ecosystem is defined as the functional unit of biosphere created and controlled by man in order to obtain high yields of grapes, of high quality and in more economical and socially advantageous conditions
An overview of fauna and community structure of Oribatid mites (acari, sarcoptiformes, oribatida) in the main ecosystem types from the Central Moldavian Plateau (Romania)
The present study is an overview of the fauna and structure of the oribatid communities in the main types of ecosystems
from the Central Moldavian Plateau, in order to highlight the extent to which land use and habitats’ peculiarities are
reflected within these edaphic coenoses. Investigations have shown that in forest ecosystems oribatid fauna is richest
and most diverse in terms of taxonomy, compared to other types of ecosystems, the variety of trophic resources and the
multitude of ecological niches in forest soils explaining these differences. Zoogeographical spectrum analysis of
oribatid fauna evidences the growing weight of cosmopolitan species, from forests and plantations to agro-ecosystems
and pastures. It was also noted that species with southern distribution are less represented in forest ecosystems, while in
the soil of agricultural crops and pastures their share is higher. Regarding the ecological spectrum, it was found that
forest species have the highest weight in the natural forests, grassland species - in meadows, but also in forest
plantations, while the proportion of eurytopic elements is the highest in agro-ecosystems and pastures. Xerophilous and
meso-xerophilous species are well represented in the whole fauna, but especially in grassland ecosystems, which
indicate that forest preserves a less arid microclimate with lower oscillations of temperature and humidity. Analysis of
the edifying species’ distribution in the considered ecosystems, based on their representativity revealed several distinct
species groups in terms of preferences to a particular type of habitat, which illustrates the selectivity of oribatids in
relation to bio-edaphic conditions and their bio-indicator value
Utilizarea procesului de ierarhizare analitică în selectarea celor mai importante produse forestiere nelemnoase din judeţul Iaşi
In Romania, the non-wood forest products are mainly represented by the fauna of hunting interest, forest fruits, truffles and edible mushrooms and medicinal plants. The aim of this research was to study the most important non-wood forest products from Iaşi County. The analyze model used in similar studies done in the case of other counties across Romania was taken into account. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to assess the performance of selected alternatives by means of pairwise comparisons. The analyses were carried out using the Expert Choice Desktop software package. Honey and pheasant were the most promising non-wood forest products, while the less promising was the European elderberry. According to the results of this study, we conclude that Iaşi County has a great potential for harvesting and marketing of NWFPs
The quality of preserved biomass of some poaceae species under the conditions of Republic of Moldova
Energy is an essential ingredient of socio-environmental development and economic growth in the modern economy.
Anaerobic digestion is an important way of making use of biomass resources and production of renewable energy,
environmentally friendly and rapidly expanding in the latest years. Energy crops can be a suitable feedstock and if
preserved they can be supplied to biogas plants continuously throughout the year. The aim of the current study was to
evaluate the quality and biochemical methane production potential of preserved biomass (silage and haylage) prepared
from Poaceae plants, 3-year-old perennial species Miscanthus giganteus and tall fescue Festuca arundinacea, winter
cereal crops: rye Secale cereale and triticale Triticum secale. The silage and haylage prepared from these species
mowed in June, by organoleptic characteristics (smell, colour and consistency) and biochemical indices (pH, content
and correlation of organic acids, chemical composition of the dry matter), largely, met the standards. The chemical
composition of the Miscanthus giganteus silage did not differ essentially compared to Triticum secale haylage. The
biochemical methane production potential of Miscanthus giganteus silage made as a result of the first mowing in June
reached 355 L/kg, Festuca arundinacea silage - 340 L/kg, Secale cereale haylage -333 L/kg, Triticum secale haylage -
358 L/kg organic matter, respectively
Evaluation of yield and some of physiological indices of potato cultivars in relation to chemical, biologic and manure fertilizers
In order to evaluate yield and
some of physiological indices of potato
cultivars in relation to different kinds of
manures, strip plot layout within a
randomized complete block design with
three replications was used. Three levels of
fertilizer were included manure (t/ha) (20,
40 and 60 t/ha), biologic fertilizer (ml/ha)
(0, 100 and 200 ml/ha), and chemical
fertilizer (kg/ha) (175, 350, and 525 kg/ha).
Cultivars were Marfona, Maradona and
Ramus. Marfona had obtained the maximum
plant height, total dry matter, LAI, tuber
yield, dry matter of tuber, the number of
tuber and tuber weight. Application of
60 t/ha manure fertilizer together with
Marfona produced the highest yield. In this
experiment, fertilizer showed significant
effects on potato cultivars yield and
physiological indices. Marfona and Ramus
had obtained the highest and the lowest total
dry matter, respectively. The maximum LAI
was related to application of 60 t/ha manure
fertilizer, and the minimum one was
obtained for application of 40 t/ha manure
fertilizer. In cultivar treatments, the highest
LAI was obtained for Marfona, followed by
Maradona and Ramus. The maximum and
the minimum crop growth rate (CGR) was
related to chemical and biological fertilizer,
respectively. The maximum CGR was
related to Marfona, than those of other
cultivars. There were not any significant
differences among different fertilizers in net
assimilation ratio (NAR), fertilizer levels
and various cultivars. Thus, it can ve
suggested that in order to increasing yield,
total dry matter, crop growth rate and other
physiological indices should be applied
60 t/ha manure fertilizer with Marfona

Ethical behavior in the agrarian economy
Business ethics is not just a philosophical topic, not practical, but an effective way to support the company's long-term
financial interests. In order to appreciate that there is a direct and reciprocal relationship between a company's
profitability and moral values, a company that promotes moral values and guides by ethical behavior will be wellperceived by the public and will make considerable profits.
The research presented in this paper aims to determine ethical behavior in the economic activity of agronomic managers
in Iasi County. The purpose of the research has been derived from two objectives: determining the ethical level of
agronomic managers within agricultural holdings in Iasi County; emphasizing the importance of ethical values in
understanding ethical attitudes and behaviors of people in the economy.
The results show that, although some fundamental values of sustainable development do not indicate a significant
correlation with the economic indicators. It is noticed that the values related to the field of activity of the agronomic
managers are important to them, which is reflected also by the economic performances
