Studiu privind utilizarea frunzei de dud de catre hibridul de Bombyx mori–Triumf
In order to assess how efficient is the use of mulberry leaf by the Bombyx mori Triumf larvae hybrid, some determinations were made regarding the nutritional value and digestibility of the worm leaf administered as food (leaves from a Romanian variety, Eforie), during a series of summer growth. The results showed that ongoing vegetation and growth process of this hybrid, the mulberry leaves suffer an aging phenomenon, revealed by diminishing its chemical composition quality. According tothis, most of the nutritional substances from mulberry leaves, except cellulose, manifest a continuous decline during the growth period. The digestibility of these nutritional components registered a value of 56.29%, the raw energy value was 4213 kcal/kg dry substance, the digestive energy was 2262 kcal/kg (DS), while the metabolic energy was 2098-2099 kcal/kg (DS). The efficiency of converting ingestion into silk had a value of 9.73% and the digestion was 17.27%
The incidente of Salmonella spp. in some poultry products
The goal of the proposed research was to determine the presence and variation of serotypes of Salmonella spp. in poultry meat and eggs which are commercialized in various units. In particular samples were taken from the commercial units placed in the Central Agricultural Market mun. Chisinau, were the poultry products are delivered from different districts of the country. Samples were taken from the refrigerated carcasses as well as current consumption eggs placed in the marketing network. The insemination of the lavages were made on cultural artificial medium as Salmonella Shigella Agar and Bismuth sulfite agar. The bacteriological investigations results have shown that about 12% of the samples from both exanimated poultry carcasses (including the samples of the depth of the muscle) as well as from eggs, demonstrated the presence of bacterial serotypes of Salmonella spp. The serotypes prevalence was S. infantis, S. enteritidis, S. typhimurium. The results confirmed the necessity for further multilateral and depth study of Salmonella spp. spreading in conjunction with the monitoring of public health sector
Studiu asupra compoziţiei chimice a unor produse de tip baby-food şi sucuri destinate copiilor
Blended foodor baby-food products marketed for children contain a source of protein, often meat, or can be made entirely from cereals, fruit blends and vegetables. These products must be appropriatefrom the point of view of both nutritional and safety. Fruit or vegetable juices are recommended as a good source of vitamins and as an additional source of water for healthy infants and young children. With all their benefits, the addition of sugar from the marketed products should be carefully controlled so as not to lead to obesity or metabolic disorder. This paper includes the determination of the content of ions present in three commercially available juices and three types of baby-food from fruits, vegetables and meat
Induction of estrus in buffalo by luteolysis management (single PGF and dual administration)
Induction of estrus in buffaloes is more difficult to obtain compared to that in bulls. There are many hormonal protocols, applied through reproductive biotechnologies, which can generate favorable results, if optimal conditions are used, managing cyclicity, seasonality, nutrition and health. Regarding the induction of estrus in cattle and buffaloes using prostaglandins was used. These PGF2α have a luteolytic effect on the luteal body and will induce increased pituitary gonadotrophin secretion within 2-3 days of application. Buffaloes that respond to PGF treatment are those that have a regular cycle and have a luteal activity within 11 days. In the case of our study, a single dose of PGF therapy was initiated, following the occurrence of estrus after 2-3 days. After the first administration of PGF, 6/24 females were diagnosed in the estrous phase, representing 25%. Thus RC for the induction of estrous with PGF in single and repeated dose at 11 days was 41.6%
Effect of iron on yield of corn (Zea Lays L.) in drought stress
In hot and arid regions, drought stress is considered as one of the main reasons for yield reduction. To study the effect of drought stress, iron spray on the yield and yield components of corn, an experiment was carried out during the crop seasons of 2013 on research Farm in Faizabad of Iran, as a split plot within randomized complete block design with three replications. The main plots with irrigation factor and four levels were considered: level A) 50 ml evaporation from pan evaporation; level B) 100 ml evaporation from pan evaporation; level C) 150 ml evaporation from pan evaporation and level D) 200 ml evaporation from pan evaporation. Sub plots were considered with iron spray in three levels, included level A) 80 g/ha, level B) 130 g/ha and level C) 180 g/ha. The drought stress reduced seed yield, the 1000-kernels weight (TKW), the number of seeds per ear, the number of seeds per row in ear, the number of rows per ear about 39%, 6%, 31%, 14% and 27% less than control treatment, respectively. Using iron, as compared with control treatment, causes the increase of 1000-kernels weight from 295 to 311 g and the increase of seed yield from 5188 to 7078. The results obtained from the present research showed that iron spray has fairly improved the effects caused by drought stress
Influenţa mulcirii şi fertilizării asupra culturii de conopidă timpurie
The purpose of the presentpaper is to evaluate the influence of mulching and fertilization on the early cauliflower crop. The research was carried out in the didactic and experimental field of the Vegetablegrowingdiscipline, at Agronomy UniversityIasi. The experimentwas of a bifactorial type, testingthe influence of mulching with three graduations (unmulched-Ct, mulching with polyethylene film of 15 and 30 μm in thickness) and of fertilization with four graduations (unfertilized-Ct, chemical fertilization, organic fertilization and application of microorganisms),under the conditions of 2018 and 2019. The cropwas established by usingseedlings of42 days, in strips of two rows, the distance between strips being of 80 cm and between rows of 60 cm. The distance between the plants in a row was of 25 cm, resulting in a density of about 57thousand plants per hectare. The results obtained demonstrate the necessity of mulching and fertilizing the early cauliflowercrop, the best yields being obtained in the case of the variant mulched with 30 μm foil and fertilized with chemical fertilizers

Research took place in glasshouse conditions in year2018. Were made observations regarding dynamics of rising and were determined germination velocity and germination rate. The obtained results prove the fact that Lavandula angustifolia seeds have a favourable response to treatment with bio-stimulators
Evaluarea fizico-chimică a calităţii iaurturilor cu piersici pentru copii
Nutritional research has mentioned that fortification of food by using natural resources is one of the best ways to improve the total nutrient intake of foods with minimal side effects. One of the product categories that can be enriched is fermented products, especially yoghurts. A special category is those for children. In this study the physico-chemical characteristics of four types of yogurts were evaluated. Following the color evaluation, the total colordifference (TCD) increased with the increase in the peach purée concentration, and the values varied between 7.2 and 19. Total acidity values are between 118.75 and 150 ° T, respectively 3.85 and 4.17 pH units. The sodium chloride concentration values were between 0.14 and 0.2 g NaCl/100 g. For fat content the determinate values were lower than those declared (3.2%; 2.7% and 0.8%). Rheological measurements performed showed that all samples behave like a yogurt
Studies regarding the influence of some phenotypic parameters on raw material’s quality of different genotypes from Mentha genus
Peppermint (Mentha sp.) is one of the most cultivated medicinal plant worldwide due to its diverse range of products in which it can be used. The main natural product (Herba Menthae) is used in pharmaceutical industry, as an additive and flavor in food industry and the extracted essential oil is used in numerous cosmetic and selfcare products. This study’s purpose is to quantify a series of biometrical and physiological elements of some species which pertain to Mentha genus from USAMV’s “Collection of Medicinal Plants”, which influence the raw material’s quality and the quantity of essential oils. The studied mint species are Mentha viridis var. crispata (Schrod) Beck Ecotype 2, Mentha longifolia
(L.) Hudson Ecotype 2, Mentha spicata var. viridis L., Mentha longifolia (L.) Hudson Ecotip 1, Mentha viridis var. crispata (Schrod) Beck Ecotype 1. The study followed the influence of the leaf surface, the content of chlorophyll pigments, but also the total leaf number on the production of volatile oil. Being a very important parameter in the reception and estimation of needed quantity of raw material, drying efficiency was determined for each cultivar. The highest amount of volatile oil was obtained from two ecotypes of the Mentha viridis var. crispata (Schrod) Beck species, in a percentage of 0.54% and 0.58%, and the lowest amount from Mentha longifolia (L.) Hudson Ecotype 2. The results are showing that the quantity of volatile oil is influenced by the leaf surface, especially by the basal leaves.
It is being proved that the amount of the volatile oil is influenced by the leaf surface, its placement and the chlorophyll pigments content and the cultivar factor, in the same environmental conditions
Implementation of a pharmacologic protocol for testing bovine colostrum nutraceutical products in Broilers
As antibiotic additives were deemed illegal to use in poultry feed as a growth promoter but also to prevent certain diseases such as necrotic enteritis, researches are increasingly oriented towards finding an alternative that will provide both economic gain for the farmer and safety for the end consumer. Bovine colostrum, the first milk secretion postpartum, is widely known for its beneficial properties, not only on the newborn organism, but also in the adult one. The bioactive components of the colostrum have healing properties in the gut, furthermore they help prevent bacteria from adhering to the intestinal mucosa. The biochemical constituents also have an antibacterial effect through lactoferrin and lactoperoxidase. The main objective of this paper was to establish a protocol through which to obtain consistent scientific data when researching the effects of a nutraceutical product in poultry. In order to achieve this we have conducted a study, in the University of Agricultural sciences and Veterinary medicine, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on a population of 60 broilers that were divided into three groups: the control group and two other groups that were administered distinct nutraceutical products in their drinking water. The purpose was to evaluate the effectiveness of replacing antibiotic growth promoters and anticoccidial drugs with nutraceutical products from bovine colostrum. Various microbiological, health and productivity parameters were assessed and compared between the groups, over a period of 45 days. The immunoglobulins from the bovine colostrum, as bioactive components, will achieve its highest peak in day 14 in the blood serum of the bird. As such, blood samples were deemed best to be harvested on EDTA and Clotting agents every 14 days, as the products were administered 2 times throughout the study. Cloacal swabbing was also performed, feces samples were evaluated for microbial concentration and bacterial strain identification. A comparison was made with several other researches that performed similar clinical studies and we recommend that when administering bovine colostrum nutraceuticals, in order to obtain scientifically consistent results, a strict protocol has to be implemented, periodical evaluations have to be made according to the parameters that are assessed but also in compliance with the bioactive components of the product
