Histological aspects in immune-mediated glomerulonephritis in dogs
The kidney is often the target of agressions of extra-renal origins. Its structure and function make it vulnerable and oftenly affected by the pathological changes that take place inside the living organism. Glomerulonephritis are pathological processes characterized morphologically and functionally firstly by the alteration of the glomerular structures and secondly by alterative changes located in other renal structures (uriniferous tubules, vascular and connective stroma). To this date glomerulonephritis are a major concern in nephrology, affecting both humans and animals. The renal glomeruli may be damaged by the action of both specific pathogens and systemic diseases
Macroscopic anatomical features of the digestive system in the common buzzard (Buteo Buteo)
The study was conducted on 10 bodies of common buzzard (Buteo buteo), from the Association for the Protection of Birds and Nature, MILVUS Group. The bodies were processed according to the dissection protocol established to highlight the macroscopic anatomical features, characteristic of the order in which the studied birds belong. The macroscopic aspect of the esophagus, which is short, distensable, has a well- developed crop, located cranially in the thoraco-abdominal cavity. The glandular stomach and the muscular stomach are poorly developed, joining into the thoracic-abdominal cavity, giving a pear-like appearance. The small intestine is short, divided into the duodenum, jejunum and ileum, and the large intestine has a vestigial, lymphoid type caeca and a short colon. The liver composedof two lobes that join cranially in midline. The right lobe is larger than the left lobe. A well developed gallbladder is located on the ventral side of the right lobe

The influence of a probiotic product with Bacillus subtilis and Pediococcus acidilactici on some hematological and clinical parameters of healthy dogs
The study was conducted at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) in the animal physiology department, between May 2018 and June 2019. The aim of the study was to assess the influence of a probiotic product with Bacillus subtilis and Pediococcus acidilactici on healthy dogs. The probiotic was administered orally once a day to six healthy adult dogs from 1 year to 7 years old for a period of 30 days. The dogs entering the study were submitted to a general clinical examination. At day 1 and day 31/36 of the study, blood samples was collected and haematological parameters were evaluated. The objectives of the research were multiple. First of all, we observed whether the probiotic influenced the general health of the dogs and changes in clinical parameters. Then, the dynamics of the haematological parameters was identified. The in vivo study showed the safety of the probiotic product on healthy dogs and the minimal impact on hematologic parameters. In fact, no adverse reactions were observed
Mulcirea şi fertilizarea ca principal mijloc tehnologic într-o cultură organică de broccoli
The purpose of the presentpaper is to evaluate the influence of mulching and fertilization on an early broccoli crop grown according to organic farming norms. The research was carried out in the experimental field of the Agronomic University of Iaşi, Romania. In the bifactorial experiment, the influence of mulching with three graduationswas tested-unmulched-Ct, mulching with polyethylene foilof 15 and 30 microns thick,as well as the fertilization with three graduations -unfertilized-Mt, organic fertilization and application of microorganisms, under the conditions of the years 2018 and 2019. The culture was established fromseedlings of42 days, in strips of 2 rows each, the distance between strips beingof80 cm and between rows of 60 cm. The distance between plants was of 25 cm,resulting in a density of about 57 thousand plants per hectare. The obtained results indicate increases inthe yield,in the case of the mulched and organicallyfertilized variants, the best yields being obtained in the case of the mulched variant with 30 microns foil and organically fertilized with Orgevi
Cultivarea şi extracţia uleiurilor volatile obţinute din soiuri noi de busuioc (Ocimum basilicum L., fam. Lamiaceae)
he paper presents the experimental research carried out within INMA Bucharest regarding the cultivation of two new varieties, ‘Aromat de Buzau’and ‘Serafim’,created by SCDL Buzau. These belong to the two varieties of basil(Ocimum basilicum L., Lamiaceae) yellow and purple, which were grown in the agricultural years 2017 and 2018, years that were different in terms of agrometeorological conditions. It also presents the method for obtaining vegetal extracts (volatile oil and floral water), obtained by processing the vegetal raw material while applying a process based on water vapour pressure distillation. Extractionyields obtained are presented comparatively. The results are the premises for obtaining new products with a high market value, which can be applied in the future for vegetable crops protection in greenhouses and solariums
Estrous synchronisation and artificial insemination in out of breeding season at lacaune sheep
The aim of this study was to increase fertility in sheep by applying modern biotechnology: induction and synchronization of estrous in out of breeding season. The study was conducted during May 2019- July 2019 on 132 ewes, aged between 1 and 6 years, in Covasna county, Romania. The ewes were syncronisated with Medroxyprogesterone (Ovigest, Hypra), Cloprostenol (PGF Veyx Forte, Esteve) and GnRH (Ovarelin, Ceva). After the synchronization, the artificial insemination was performed at 126 ewes by intracervical method. At 29 days after the artificial insemination was performed the diagnosis of gestation using an ultrasound. From 126 animals artificial inseminated, in 121 (91.67%) cases the diagnosis of gestation confirmed the gestation and in 22 cases was confirmed a twin gestation
Fast food consumption of students and factors affecting consumption: a case study from Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Turkey
In this study, it was aimed to determine fast food consumption and the factors affecting this consumption for Isparta University of Applied Sciences students. The main material of the study consisted of the data obtained from surveys, which were conducted by face-to-face interviews with 384 students. Result showed that 89.06% of the students consumed fast food and 10.94% did not. The average monthly income of students was 1412.26 TL and the share of expenditure on fast food products in the monthly income was 21.25%. It was determined that students consumed steak tartar ala turca (85.96%) among the fast food products, followed by French fries (83.63%) and hamburger (82.75%). It was found that 42.69% of the students consumed fast food products in dinner. It was determined that the most important reasons for fast food consumption were being economical (38.60%) and fast (30.70%). The relationship between the age of the students (p <0.10), the number of individuals in the family (p <0.10) and their opinion about healthy-eating
(p <0.01) and fast food consumption were found to be statistically significant
Effects of GA3 and ABA on the germination of dormant oat seeds
Oat seed with dormancy characteristics, which can germinate after one season or one year, are used to build and maintain vegetation to protect soils from been damaged by desertification in Northern China. The aim of this study was to estimate the effects of endogenous and exogenous GA3 and ABA on oat seed (var. Baiyan 7) germination. The results showed that seeds without peel hull had lower endogenous ABA content and the ratio of ABA/GA3 than seeds with peel hull. The best GA3 treatment duration for milky ripe, wax ripe, full ripe seeds were 60 min or 120 min, 60 min and 30 min, respectively. Seed germination rate, germination potential and germination index increased before they declined with the increasing of GA3 concentrations. The best GA3 concentration treatment was 100 mg/l, while the turning point was 200 mg/l. The dormancy rate of low temperature storage seeds were higher than those of room temperature storage seeds at each storage time, and both decreased with the increase of the storage time. For the seeds which were new or stored for 1-2 months, the germination rates were enhanced significantly by exogenous GA3. For the seeds that had been stored for over three months, GA3 treatment had no effect on germination rate. Germination rate decreased with the increase of ABA concentrations. The most inhibitive effect, which leaded to a seed germination reduction by 37.7% and 4.0%, appeared, when the concentration of ABA was 500 mg/L and 1000 mg/l, respectively. GA3 could abate the effect which ABA inhibited seed germination
