The relationship between chlorophyll content and antioxidant activity of Abies Alba and Nepeta Pannonica extracts according to phenophase and harvesting area
Abies and Nepeta species are well known for their traditional use in traditional medicine from Bukovina, Romania, and other parts from the world. However, too few studies present the connection between phenophase, chlorophyll content and antioxidant activity of extracts obtained from medicinal plants. Phenophases, like stages from vital cycle
of plants, involve seasonal and evolutionary changes, including chlorophyll content of the leaves. With these changes, there are also changes in the oxidative activity of the extracts obtained from the studied plants. The chlorophyll was extracted with acetone, being quantitatively measured using the spectrophotometer. Antioxidant activity was determined by the DPPH method. This method is one from the most popular ways to measure the antioxidant capacity of a substance. The studied species are Abies alba and Nepeta pannonica. Plants were harvested from different locations of Bukovina, from areas of Câmpulung Moldovenesc and Cacica localities, Suceava county, Romania. Chosen
phenophases were growing and flowering. The DPPH method implies making some
extracts with organic solvents from collected plants, in this case being acetone. Using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil reactive, there was determined the antioxidant capacity of mentioned extracts. There were observed variations of this depending of phenophase and
collecting areas, being closely related to total chlorophyll content. The both species have behaved differently and obtained results can be used to determine the optimal harvest moments of these plants
Influence of surface and subsurface drainage systems on the sustainable development of the rural environment in the Moldova River watershed
Agriculture plays a strategic role worldwide, as it is the main sector responsible for population food security and has, at the same time, a special contribution to the general sustainable economic development and environmental protection process. In order to regulate the water regime on the surface and on the profile of the soils in the hydrographic basin of the River Moldova, four surface and subsurface drainage systems with an area of 8761 ha of which 3059 ha with works underground drainage were arranged from 1978 to 1980. The improvement of the physical, physicochemical and biological properties of the soil as a result of the hydro and agropedoameliorative works allowed the cultivation of
large areas of land previously used as grazing and hay land, as well as the cultivation of a wide range of agricultural plants. The drying-drainage works performed have resulted in high yields in both normal and heavy rainfall years. The constant high yields have resulted in higher income per area unit and, implicitly, in the improvement of the standard of living of the rural population. The 40-year life of the surface and subsurface drainage systems, and the poor management and lack of maintenance works, especially after 1990, require rehabilitation and sustainable exploitation measures, given the major importance of agriculture in the life and development of rural areas
Neurotrophins and their receptors distribution in the central nervous system of the Zebrafish (Danio rerio) - a review
Neurotrophins (NTs) and their receptors have been extensively studied in the last years due to their involvement in the development of the nervous system, its plasticity and survival, as well as in psychiatric or neurodegenerative diseases. In zebrafish, the popular animal model for genetic studies, recent publications reveal the localization of NTs and tyrosine kinase receptors (Trks) in most important regions of the central nervous system (CNS) of developing embryo, the distribution of brain derivated neurotrophic factor (BDNF), nerve growth factor (NGF) and TrkB in adult zebrafish brain and also the expression of main NTs and Trk receptors in the cerebellum, meanwhile some unknown pathways of the complex mapping of tyrosine kinase (Ntrk) receptors and their ligands remain to be established
Evolutia continutului in polifenolipe parcursul fluxului tehnologic de fabricare a compotului de caise
Apricots are seasonal fruits andcompote fabrication is a method to prolongthe periodof their consumption. In the present research is studied the extent to which the main processes involved inthe compote fabrication reducethe content of some antioxidants, namelypolyphenols andflavonoids, and influence the main enzymes’activities. Only the thermal processes seriously decreased the total polyphenols and flavonoids contentand flavonoids weremore sensitives than non-flavonoidic polyphenols. In the apricot compote the total polyphenols decreased by 27.40%-34.54%and the flavonoidsby 46.49%-49.02%, compared to the initial fruits
Studiu privind utilizarea frunzei de dud din soiul eforie de catre hibridul de bombyx mori–zefir
During the growth of silkworm larvae(the Bombyx mori Zefir larvae hybrid)study, also was done a research which aimed to determine the chemical composition and the digestibility of mulberry leaves from a Romanian variety, Eforie. The results showed that advancing in the vegetation stage at the same time with different periods of the silkworm larvae’s growth, the mulberry leaves experience an aging process being noticed through its quality decreasing from chemical composition point of view. So, for example, the CP which was in average 20.98± 0.670% (from DM), decreased during the study with 3.11%; while the CF had an average of 17.91± 0.434%, (from DM) increased with 2.29%. Thedigestibility of these nutritional components registered a value of 57.21%, the raw energy value was 4213 kcal/kg dry substance, the digestive energy was 2324 kcal/kg (DS), while the metabolic energy was 2154-2157 kcal/kg (DS). The efficiency of converting ingestion into silk had a value of 9.50% and the digestion was 16.61%
Influence of plants density on productivity of corn for silage in the conditions of depression Jijia – Bahlui
Corn silage is the most efficient way of feeding the animals during the grazing period, with a very high degree of consumability. The success of corn silage cultivation depends largely on the proper choice of hybrid, but also on the pedoclimatic conditions of the crop area. The characteristics and the suitability of the hybrid have an important role in
the maize culture for silage, but in order to obtain superior productions from a qualitative and quantitative point of view, the technological elements and their application must be respected. The density of corn crop for silage is considered the most important technological element. All the improvements of the maize crop, the introduction of the most productive maize hybrids, the fertilization, the irrigation, etc., have led to new levels of production, changing each time the optimum plants density. The research was conducted in 2018 in the pedoclimatic conditions corresponding to the Depression Jijia – Bahlui. Three experimental factors were studied, as followed: the influence of plants density, the distance between the rows and the hybrid on the production of dry matter (DM). The obtained results showed that the technological factors (the density of plants and the distance between rows) caused changes in the biomass production,
the quantity of dry matter being influenced by the hybrid, as well as the plants density and the distance between rows. As the density of plants per hectare increases, the amount of dry matter decreases thus registering at all three densities, reduced production differences

Sucuri comerciale la tetra pack - evaluarea parametrilor de calitate
The present study was conducted to investigate the physico-chemical parameters (titratable acidity, total soluble solids, antioxidant capacity and total phenolic compounds) of six different types of commercial Tetra Pack juices. The total phenolic content was measured byFolin-Ciocalteu reagent assay.Antioxidant activity determination was performed by the spectrophotometric method with the DPPH reagent (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl). Results of the physico-chemical properties obtained show the following range of values for acidity (1.46-2.76 g/L malic acid), total solids (9.17-12.00 °Bx). The highest total phenolic content was 1.138 mg GAE/100g and the lowest 0.003 mg GAE/100g. It was shown that the content of total antioxidant activity in juices varied between 0.639 and 1.554
Researches on the modernization of the conduct network from old pressure irrigation systems
The paper presents a series of concepts regarding the rehabilitation and modernization of the pipeline network in irrigation systems with sprinkling. Old spray irrigation systems in operation for about 30-40 years show wear and aging phenomena of structural components (pipes, pits, hydrants). Research on about eight sprinkler irrigation plot with pipeline networks in various exploitation concepts highlighted the complexity of the rehabilitation and upgrading process. Rehabilitation of the pipeline network is based on the type of irrigation equipment with which the irrigation plot is fitted. In the case of plots
equipped with monofilament pumping stations the tertiary distribution pipeline is rehabilitated at the level of the current technique and automation equipment is introduced. The rehabilitation process must be carried out in successive stages and using modern materials and technologies of endowment and execution. Case studies developed for sprinkler irrigation plots located in Moldova are customized on the modernization directions adopted by the beneficiary: pivot spraying equipment, longitudinal displacement equipment, fixed watering equipment, etc
