The effect of Chaetomium globosum and organic fertilizer on the sweet pepper varieties growth and yield under the greenhouse conditions
This experiment was conducted at horticulture college (USAMV Bucharest) during the summer season of the year 2017 to investigate the growth and yield of sweet pepper varieties (Dinamica f1, Abadia f1 and Abadia f1-grafted on emperador) planted under the greenhouse as influenced by Dix 10 n (organic fertilizer) with dose (300 g/m2 dix 10n)
and soil contaminated with Chaetomium globosum fungus. The results of the experiment demonstrated that the highest plant height between the varieties were represented by Dinamica recorded 69.66cm while the maximum plant height between the interaction treatments recorded with (Dinamica + (D+CG), Dinamica + CG and Abadia G+ CG evaluated (89.66, 87.66, 84.00 cm) respectively. While the highest percentage of aerial plant dry matter represented by the interaction treatments of Dinamica + (D + CG) and Abadia G + (D + CG) which reached to (18.56 and 18.53 %) respectively. While the minimum effect for percentage of root dry matter obtained (15.20 and 16.20 %) for control
treatment of (Abadia and Abadia G) respectively. The highest yield of plant (Dinamica + (D + CG), Abadia G (D + CG) and Abadia (D + CG)) were recorded lowest yield per plant were (1367.66, 1363.00 and 1325.66 g) respectively. The highest chlorophyll content in leaves were (135.30 and 117.53 µmol m-2) in Abadia G (D + CG) and Abadia G + CG
respectively. The minimum photosynthesis value was 7.36 µmol m-2 s-1 in Abadia G (D + CG). The maximum of highest N-NO3 was in Dinamica + (D+CG) treatment which reached to 90.13 ppm, while the highest PO4 level was observed in Abadia + D treatment which recorded 198.87 ppm and the highest level of K was in Abadia G + CG which
reached to 4066.66 ppm
Preliminary results regarding the prevalence of CTX-M genes identified in E. coli strains isolated from slaughtered pigs
Extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing enterobacteriaceae and AmpC cephalosporinases are of major
importance for public health because these bacteria have low sensitivity to antibiotics such as extended spectrum
cephalosporins, which are antimicrobials widely used both in human and in veterinary medicine. Such strains, especially
Escherichia coli (E. coli), have been frequently isolated from pigs too, production animals being considered carriers
with major implications in the transmission chain of these strains in humans. The aim of this study was to characterise
the molecular substrate of ESBL-positive E. coli strains isolated from slaughtered pigs from 3 slaughter houses from the
Moldova area by identifying the CTX-M genes. After collection, the samples were primarily processed for phenotypical
identification and confirmation of ESBL-positive E. coli strains. Bacterial DNA extraction for the target strains was
carried out using the “boiled preps” method. Identification of the blaCTX-M (blaCTX-M-9; blaCTX-M-1) genes was carried out
by PCR using the specific protocol. Molecular investigations revealed that out of the 118 analysed samples, the blaCTXM-
U gene was identified in 61% (72/118). Characterisation of the CTX-M groups signalled the presence of the CTX-M-1
group in 44/72 (61.11%) of the analysed strains, and the presence of the CTX-M-9 group in 18/72 (25%) of the strains.
This study emphasised a high prevalence of CTX-M enzyme-producing E. coli strains isolated from the caecum of
slaughtered pigs
Aspects regarding the electrical command of diesel injection
The paper presents the preliminary tests for a new method of controlling diesel injection at the injector of a compression
ignition engine. The purpose of the paper is to verify the possibility of obtaining certain quantities of fuel, sprayed by
injector by this method. It was also verified the possibility of changing the value amount of diesel sprayed by injector
according to certain parameters. Unlike conventional injection systems, in this method the injector receives the fuel
from an electrically operated piston pump element via an electromagnet. The entry into service of the electromagnet is
controlled by an electrical circuit equipped with a capacitor battery. The capacitor battery is designed to store electricity
and restore it to the action control of the electromagnet. In this way, the actuation time of the piston pump element is
very short. The opening time of the injector can also be easily modified. The tests presented in the work are carried out
using a prototype, which has been tested only on a stand designed by the author and not on a running engine. At this
preliminary testing stage it was followed whether the proposed method allows fuel injection through the injector. It was
also monitored if there was a possibility of changing the dose of injected fuel. It was looked which of the constructive
and functional factors influence the modification of the injected dose
Metode de producerea vinurilor cu grad alcoolic scăzut. II. Strategii fermentative şi post-fermentative
According to current legislation, wine is defined as thealcoholic beverage resulted from fermentation of grapes or grape must, withan ethanolconcentration of minimum8.5% (v/v).Climate change, modern viticultural practices and the use of selected yeaststrainsgradually lead to wines with increasedalcohol concentrations. Moreover, consumer demand is apparent for wines with lower ethanol levels, perceived as healthier.Since viticultural and pre-fermentation practices not always lead to high quality products, the aim of this paper was to provide technological data onthe currently available microbiological and post-fermentation practicesto produce low alcohol winefrom well-ripened grapes. However, the most efficient strategies involvesa compromise between ethanol removal, energy consumption and potential impact on wine composition
Results regarding the study of reproduction indexes at brown breed cow population from Vrancea County
On a population of 1520 Brown cows, from 15 farms located in Vrancea County were evaluated the main reproductive indicators on the basis of data from official control in farms. Were evaluated the following indicators: rank of lactation, age at first calving (AFC), service period(SP), dry period (DP), calving interval (CI)and number of artificial inseminations for one gestation (IA). From analysis of mean values could be observed that average age at first calving was of approximately 33 month ranking between 29 and 35 month, the analysed population having precocity under the standard of Brown breed. Number of inseminations for one gestation was 2.09, at the farms level being recorded a poor management of frozen seminal material.Reproduction indicators had means values which prove that reproduction function was poor technically managed
Mechanical damage to corn seeds
The objective of this research was to evaluate and model the mechanical damage to corn seeds under impact loading. The experiments were conducted at moisture contents of 7.60 to 25% (wet basis) and at the impact energies of 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 J, using an impact damage assessment device.
The results showed that impact energy, moisture content, and the interaction effects of these two variables significantly influenced the percentage of physical damage in corn seeds (p<0.01). Increasing the impact of the energy from 0.1 to 0.3 J caused a significant increase in the mean values of damage from 23.73 to 83.49%. The mean values of physical damage decreased significantly by a factor of 1.92 (from 83.75 to 43.56%), with an increase in the moisture content from 7.6 to 20%.
However, by a higher increase in the moisture from 20 to 25%, the mean value of damage showed a non-significant increasing trend. There was an optimum moisture level of about 17 to 20%, at which seed damage was minimized. An empirical model composed of seed moisture content and energy impact was developed for accurately describing the percentage of physical damage to corn seeds. It was found that the model has provided satisfactory results over the whole set of values for the dependent variable
Gradul de satisfacţie al pacienţilor protezaţi amovibil reflectat asupra consumului de fructe şi legume
A healthy diet of the elderly is important in improving oral health. But the emergence of editorialism prevents the consumption of diversified foods. A nourishing and varied diet, including vegetables, fruits, cereals, dairy products and protein, is of great value especially at the elderly. Many patients regard the mobilizable dentures as a sign of aging and therefore accept them hard, and the accommodation process is difficult. After a rather long period of non-protection, when inserting a prosthesis, it is very difficult to chew or speak with it. This is less common in prosthetic patients. Therefore, restoring the integrity of dental arches by applying mobilizable prostheses increases the satisfaction of edent patients during mastication
GIS for precision farming – senzor monitoring at "Moara Domneasca" Farm, UASVM of Bucharest
Precision farming is an intelligent way of approaching agricultural activities, which involves the use of advanced machines and technologies to streamline the agricultural process and ensure the control of agricultural production. Practicing precision farming represents, for Romanian farms, the best step towards progress, based on the technologies in the field, from automatic GPS systems to soil sensors, helping farmers to obtain the best results in a more efficient way, efficient and simpler, without wasting energy and resources. Part of modern technology is represented by sensors that can monitor different parameters related to soil and atmosphere. The obtained values must be monitored and
processed in some agricultural applications, as well as of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that allow the spatialization of the data and the creation of specific thematic maps, which come to the support of the farmers for optimal decisions. For the monitoring of the agricultural land, images taken with a drone (eBee Classic UAV) were used, which were the basis for making the maps needed to place the Teralytic sensors for monitoring the following soil parameters: Humidity, Salinity, Soil temperature, pH, Nitrates, Potassium, Phosphorus, at three different depths (15 cm, 45 cm and 91 cm). The research has shown the importance of using GIS techniques in spatializing the data obtained from these sensors and developing specific thematic digital maps that support farmers to make decisions regarding the programming of various agricultural works depending on the type of crop
Influenţa fertilizării chimice la tomate asupra unor indicatori biochimici
Fertilizers play an important role in providing nutrients to plants and in sustaining an optimal crop yield. In general, plants need three major elements for their optimal growth and development: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). Most of the modern chemical fertilizers contain one or all of these nutrients. Other important elements are sulphur, magnesium and calcium. Micronutrients such as iron, chlorine, copper, manganese, zinc, molybdenum and boron are needed just in small amounts, but are equally important for the plants. In this context, at the UASVM Iasi was organized an experiment to obtain important information regarding the effects of chemical nutrients on tomato biochemical indicators. The water content, the minerals and the tannin content from fruits varied under different chemical fertilizers
