Research on the decision to purchase and consumption for agri-food products on Iasi municipality market
The paper aims to analyze the purchasing and food consumption behavior of the population of Iasi, as well as the
decision-making act made at individual or group level, in connection with the purchase and consumption of agri-food
products, designed to meet food needs, present and future, including both the decision-making processes that precede
and those that determine the purchase / consumption of these product categories. Food satisfies the physiological needs
of every human being, which cannot be delayed and, therefore, for this satisfaction the needs of the consumer affect a
part of their income. The way in which food needs can be met differently, through food of animal or vegetable origin,
rationalization of the number of calories, dietary principles, vitamins, minerals, etc., ultimately determines the level of
expenditure depending on these options. They differ according to age, social condition, preference for the structure of
consumption, degree of civilization, geographical condition, even fashion and imitation, etc. At first glance, defining
consumer behaviour seems to be a relatively easy process. In reality, however, the definition of this concept involves
taking into account a variety of elements, resulting in a series of definitions presented by the literature over the past
decades. Given the complexity of this concept, for its definition, specialists have resorted to various sciences starting
with anthropology, sociology and psychology, and ending with economics and marketing. In this paper, the emphasis is
on treating the concept of consumer behaviour from a marketing perspective
Elements of the economic educational management system
In the current conditions, the increase of the complexity of the problems faced by the educational activity in terms of
institutional reform, of the economic-financial deficit, it is necessary to adopt a managerial manner appropriate to the
permanent dynamics of the national socio-economic system. Therefore, a managerial process adaptive to the problems of
the education sector must be adopted, which must solve both the multitude and diversity of activities to be carried out to
achieve a competent educational product, in a framework correlated and harmonized with the difficulties required by the
allocation of resources. The realization of the educational product is not the result of a spontaneous transformation of
young pupils and students, but is the result of a wide and complex series of inhomogeneous actions, interrelated
methodologically and organizationally, involving human, material, mechanical and financial resources. organized,
planned, coordinated, controlled and evaluated in an efficient operational and implicitly managerial system. Nowadays,
the school unit with economic profile is more and more approached and perceived as an organization, as a system, its
main function being to transform the “inputs”, materialized through students, teachers, knowledge and cultural values,
financial resources, etc., in the desirable “outputs”, respectively the results of school education: educated young people,
having knowledge in the economic sector, with a social authority induced in this education, new information and
knowledge, new values, new representations and cultural values
Ultrasound and endoscopic findings in dogs with lymphangiectasia
Lymphangiectasia is a heterogenous inflammatory bowel disease characterized by lymphatic vessel dilation, chronic diarrhea and protein loss such as serum albumin and globulin. The most common cause of lymphangiectasia is considered to be the congenital malformation of the lymphatics. The study was conducted between 2012-2015 on 76 dogs suffering from intestinal disorders and manifesting digestive symptoms such as diarrhea or weight loss. In order to assess the origin of disorder, physical examination, biochemistry profile, ultrasound and endoscopic examinations were performed. Ultrasound examination tried to assess the changes of intestines’ echogenicity, changes in wall thickness, wall layering and presence of striations or / and speckles (hyperechoic structures along intestinal mucosal layer). Endoscopic examination findings included dilated lacteals (59.2%) and erythema (21.1%). Although increased friability was observed in 33 dogs, it was not considered in the study due to limitations represented by the evaluation of the endoscopic images only. The study proved that an extremely significant statistical correlation exists between the presence of speckles and dilated lacteals in dogs with lymphangiectasia (P<0.05). Up to now, there is no other study to make an association between the white spots observed in ultrasound examination and dilated lacteals revealed after endoscopy in dogs with intestinal lymphangiectasia
Kerion Celsi durch Microsporum canis
Tinea capitis is seen world-wide among children up to 12 years. The most severe type is Kerion Celsi with painful abscesses and lymphadenopathy. We report on an 11-year-old boy with Kerion Celsi, who was initially treated using antibiotics under the common misdiagnosis of a bacterial infection. Mycological investigations could identify Microsporum canis. The patient was treated orally with griseofulvin, which resulted in complete mycological remission after 8 weeks. Cicatrical alopecia, however, could not be prevented. Purulent infections of the scalp should lead to early mycological diagnostics in children
Spectrul fenologic al unor soiuri de viţă-de-vie cultivate în podgoria Odobeşti în contextul schimbărilor climatice
In the last 20 years there has been a tendency to change in evolution
climatic factors, which makes it increasingly difficult to accurately predict the timing of vegetation phenophases in vines. Their dynamic analysis, in close correlation with the evolution of climatic factors specific to Odobeşti vineyard, from 2000 to 2019, highlighted the fact that they were conditioned both by the level and action of climatic factors and by the hereditary specifics of cultivated varieties. The increase of temperature values (average annual temperature, average temperature in the first and second decades of June, average temperature in July, etc.), determined the advance of the onset of phenophases and shortened their duration, especially in dry years
Some indices regarding of the epidemiological situation and measures of prophylaxy of rabies on the Republic of Moldova
The study aimed to analyze the epidemiological situation regarding rabies in the Republic of Moldova from 2010 to 2020. The obtained
results showed that in the Republic of Moldova rabies evolves endemic, and the annual number of rabies cases in animals has dragging
variations with value reaching incidences from 58 cases (2011) to 167 cases (2015), being characterized with successive waves of
increasing the number of sick animals with a periodicity of 2 to 3 years. The presented data also showed a correlation of the increase
of the number of rabies cases in domestic animals in accordance with the number of cases of rabies in wildlife (in foxes). The highest
share of rabies in animals was recorded in foxes; these animals are being considered the main factor in the spread of the disease. The
annually incidence of rabies in foxes ranged from 14 to 32 sick animals as confirmed by laboratory investigations, which represented
from 15.4% to 23.2% of the total number of confirmed rabies annually. The measures that have been taken to prevent rabies in animals
at national level do not ensure the definitive elimination of rabies. Therefore, a broader analysis of all the factors that maintain the
infection both in wild species as well as domestic animals has to be performed, in order to take concrete actions and measures that
would lead to the eradication of disease cases. Meanwhile, it is crucial to continue applying the general sanitary veterinary measures
that focused on providing immunological coverage to all domestic carnivores as well as to the wild fauna where foxes represent the
main vector of spreading rabies
Bovine papillomavirus type 2 is harboured in cattle cutaneous warts
Papillomaviruses (PV) are epitheliotropic double-stranded DNA viruses, known to infect animals. Up to date, more than
280 different papillomavirus types have been described in human and animals. In cattle, up to 29 genotypes of bovine
papillomaviruses have been described and classified based on the nucleotide sequence identity of L1 open reading
frame. The aim of this study was to detect de bovine papillomavirus type 2 in cutaneous warts. Twenty six (n=26)
cutaneous lesions were collected from a cattle slaughterhouse, located in Iasi County, North-Eastern Romania. The viral
DNA was extracted using PureLink™ Genomic DNA Mini Kit, following the manufacture’s instruction. Detection of
papillomavirus DNA was confirmed by PCR, using degenerated primers - FAP59/64 and type specific primers for
BPV-2 L2 gene. PCR products were electrophoresed on 1.5% agarose gel stained with SybrSafe and each band was
visualized with UV transillumination. When FAP 59/64 primers were used, PV DNA was detected in 11 (42.3%) out of
26 samples, while in 15 (57.69%) samples no PV DNA was identified. The fragment length was consisting in 478 base
pairs from L1 gene. A fragment of 164 base pairs corresponding to BPV-2 L2 gene was amplified in 24 (92.2%)
samples, while 2 samples were negative (7.69%). Two samples were proved to be negative when tested with both
primers pairs. These results are in accordance with previous reported results. The use of type specific primers represent
a useful tool in bovine papillomavirus detection
Screening winter wheat germplasm for detection of 1-feh w3 variants for improvement of drought tolerance using KASP assay
Wheat yield levels and stability are endangered by drought, which is one of the main effects of current climate changes.
A possible way of increasing wheat yield under water stress could be the remobilization of stem assimilates for grain
filling. 1-FEH w3 (1-FEH-6B) is a key enzyme involved in stem water-soluble carbohydrates (WSC) remobilization,
playing an important role during grain filling under drought stress. The objective of this study was the screening of a
winter wheat collection from NARDI Fundulea regarding the 1-FEH w3 haplotypes using Kompetitive Allele Specific
PCR (KASP) SNP marker. KASP genotyping assay on 64 wheat genotypes (cultivars, breeding and pre-breeding lines)
showed that 25 genotypes carried the “Kauz” type susceptible haplotype (K) and 39 genotypes carried the “Westonia”
type haplotype (W), considered the favorable haplotype in drought conditions. The favorable haplotype (W) was found
in several cultivars known for their good performance under water stress (such as Fundulea 133, or A15), but also in
some cultivars with poor performance under drought (such as Apache, Ariesan or Bezostaya 1), which suggests that 1-
FEH w3 is not the only factor determining drought response. On the other hand, the haplotype associated with water
stress susceptibility was found in cultivars known as drought resistant (such as Izvor or Dropia), suggesting that the
performance of these cultivars under drought might be further improved by incorporating by breeding the favorable
variant of the 1-FEH w3 gene. These results open perspectives of breeding for improved drought resistance by
pyramiding several favorable alleles for response to water stress
