The degree of soil fertility in the drainage basin of Râul Alb stream, Dâmboviţa county, up to the point it meets Bărbuleţu stream, expressed through the soil reaction and the supply of nutrients (organic matter, Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium)
The field research took place in the interval 2019-2020, in the higher drainage basin of Râul Alb stream, located in the
north-western part of Dâmboviţa County, the analysis covering an area of 4034 ha. The research into the complex
phenomena of erosion in the analyzed area was based on a pedological study, which consisted in performing 46
pedological profiles in representative areas of the analyzed region. After centralizing the results, it was noted that
59.42% of the entire analyzed area display a low alkaline reaction, at least at the level of the upper layer, because of its
CaCO3 content, which exacerbates the risk of landslide. From the point of view of the supply of nutrients (humus), most
of the soils have a low and extremely low supply of these elements at the level of the upper layer, namely 73.42% of the
analyzed area; as for the nitrogen supply, 26,68% of the entire surface of the drainage basin display severe shortages of
this element. The situation is really serious in the case of the supply of mobile phosphorus in the soil, 3280.27 ha of the
analyzed surface are low and very low in phosphorus, namely 76.20%, while the levels of potassium supply in the soils
in the higher drainage basin of Râul Alb stream are mostly moderate and good, only 620.85 ha (14.42%) are extremely
low and low in potassium supply
Heavy metals assessment in the major stages of winemaking: Chemometric analysis and impacts on human health and environment
Wine contamination with heavy metals may pose long-term human health risks and environmental damages. This study evaluated the frequently detected heavy metals (HMs): Cr-Chromium, Fe-Iron, Cu-Copper, Mn-Manganese, Ni-Nickel and Zn-Zinc in the winemaking stages of white (Grasă de Cotnari) and red (Fetească neagră) wine varieties. Samples from wines and wastewaters were collected at eight different winemaking stages and HMs quantification was done by high-resolution continuum source atomic absorption spectrometry. Results showed that, in white wines Pb, Cu and Cr concentrations decreased during winemaking processes, while in red wines only Pb and Cu levels were reduced. A progressive increment was observed for Ni and Fe in white wines and for Cr, Ni and Fe in red wines, during winemaking. In the final winemaking stage of white wines, Fe and Mn concentrations were 3826 and 1493 μg/L, respectively, while in red wines, 1136 and 1256 μg/L, respectively. Analysis of wines consumption safety was performed according to the estimated daily intake (EDI) and target hazard quotients (THQ). EDI values of the analysed white wines ranged from 0.0032 to 6.2217, and for red wines from 0.0004 to 2.6919. THQ values below 1 suggested that moderate wine consumption does not have negative impacts on human health
The influence of treatments with various phytosanitary products (fungicides) on the attack of some phytopathogenic fungi on barley harvest, Donau variety, in 2020 pedoclimatic conditions of the eastern Baragan
This study aims at monitoring the dynamics of the occurrence and evolution of the attack of some pathogenic agents to
barley, among which we mention: mildew (Blummeria graminis f.sp. hordei), leaf stripe (Pyrenophora graminea) and
barley’s rust (Puccinia hordei). Also, the influence of applying these fungicides on the production was monitored, as
compared to the untreated control variant. For this study, an experiment with 6 treatment variants was created, in which
the following phytosanitary products were used: AMISTAR (azoxystrobin 250 g/l), EVOLUS (prochloraz 320 g/l,
tebuconazole 160 g/l, proquinazid 40g/l); FALCON PRO (prothioconazol 53 g/l, spiroxamine 224 g/l, tebuconazole 148
g/l), TOPSIN 500 SC (thiophanate-methyl 500 g/l), ORIUS 25 EW (250 g/l tebuconazole) and DITHANE M 45
(mancozeb 80%). The treatment variants were the following V1- AMISTAR 0.75 L/HA - 1 treatment applied at spike’s
release - 13.05.2020, V2- EVOLUS 0.75 L/HA - 1 treatment applied at spike’s release - 13.05.2020, V3- FALCON
PRO 0.6 L/HA 1 treatment applied at spike’s release - 13.05.2020, V4- TOPSIN 500 SC 1.0 L/HA + DITHANE M 45 2
KG/HA - 1 treatment applied at spike’s release - 13.05.2020, V5- ORIUS 25 EW 0.5 L/HA 1 + DITHANE M 45 2
KG/HA - 1 treatment applied at spike’s release - 13.05.2020, V6 - ORIUS 25 EW 0.5 L/HA + TOPSIN 500 SC 1.0
L/HA - 1 treatment applied at spike’s release - 13.05.2020, V7 - Untreated control variant. The experiment was placed
in Latin square, the 7 variants being placed in 7 repetitions. The experiment was performed in the absence of irrigation.
2020 had been one of the draughtiest years in the last 3 decades, this fact leading to a poorer presence of the attack of
the pathogenic agents specific to barley. The first two leaves placed under the spike had been analysed for the above.
Among the pathogenic agents under monitoring, poor attacks produced by Pyrenophora graminea fungus which
produces barley leaf stripe disease were observed. No attacks by Blumeria and Puccinia fungi were observed
Optimized synthesis of new N-mustards based on 2-mercaptobenzoxazole derivatives with antitumor activity
New di-( -chloroethyl)-amides of some acids derived from 2-mercaptobenzoxazole were
prepared by reaction of the corresponding pivalic mixed anhydrides with di-( -chloroethyl)-amine. A
study regarding the optimization of the chemical reactions was made for the case of di-( -chloroethyl)-
amines. The quantum chemical analysis by Spartan’14 was made in order to establish the most stable
configuration of the ground electronic states for the obtained chemical structures and some physicochemical
parameters of N-mustards reported in this paper. Mercaptobenzoxazoles substituted in the
side chain with the cytotoxic group show antitumor activity and they inhibit Ehrlich Ascites in an
appreciable proportion compared to the drug I.O.B.-82, as our studies evidenced
The effect of different techniques of maceration-fermentation on the phenolic composition of red wines
Grapes, the quintessential
quality factor in winemaking, are found in
certain areas of the globe where
viticulture thrives. The quality of wine
products is directly influenced by the
quality of the grapes, their process
technology, the care and the quality of the
premises and equipment used, as well as
the conditions for the storage and use of
the wines. In most red wine-making
processes, it is preferred that the
maceration process is accompanied by the
fermentation process, as increase in the
alcohol content favours the intensification
of the extraction process. For this reason,
both processes are combined in a single
technological operation known as
maceration-fermentation. The largest
amount of polyphenolic compounds of
wine, anthocyanins and tannins comes
from the solid parts of the grapes ‒ the
skins and seeds, and these have a decisive
influence on the phenolic character of
wines. Maceration is a fractional
extraction which leads to the dissolution
of the useful components of the grapes,
which give the flavour, colour and taste
typical of red wine. The aim of this
research was to analyse the effect of
different techniques of macerationfermentation
on the phenolic composition
of red wines obtained from Merlot, Pinot
noir and Cabernet Sauvignon grape
varieties in Copou-Iasi vineyard
compared to red wines obtained from the
same varieties in Murfaltar vineyard,
located in the northeast and south of
Romania, respectively. Wines obtained by
maceration-fermentation in rotating tanks
have higher values of the Folin-Ciocâlteu
index (wines obtained from Pinot noir) in
contrast to those obtained by the classical
maceration-fermentation technique (wines
obtained from Merlot and Cabernet
Sauvignon).

Observații privind dăunătorii semnalați în plantațiile de măr din cadrul SCDP Iași și protecția fitosanitară a acestora
The observations took place in 2021 in the apple plantations of Research Station for Fruit Growing Iași, (Northeast of Romania), where a complex program of phytosanitary treatments was applied, taking into account the biology and ecology of the pests found in the apple plantations. Varieties on which observations have been made regarding the application and effectiveness of phytosanitary treatments were Idared and Jonagold varieties grafted on rootstock MM106. The climatic conditions of 2021 favored the development of pathogens and pests. Under the conditions of withdrawal of a large number of active substances, the pest control is becoming increasingly difficult, so that in 2021 a number of 11 phytosanitary treatments were applied, the degree of attack of the pest Cydia Pomonella L. being between 2% for the treated variant and 45% for the untreated variant

Product design in food industry. Application of QFD methodology for improvement of chocolate quality
Quality Function Development (QFD) is a systematic approach specific to quality management that facilitates product
development by ensuring consumer requirements meeting ”customer voice”, these being taken into account from the
design phase, then during the entire technological process, being reflected in the quality characteristics of the finished
product. The purpose of this study was to apply the QFD methodology (House of Quality, HoQ) to improve the quality
of products in the food industry, taking into account the technological process of chocolate (designing a new product
that meets the requirements of consumers), thus providing a synthetic model. The working method consisted in the
participation of a number of 200 chocolate consumers, aged between 20-24 years, who provided the list of consumer
requirements, prioritizing and weighting them based on a standardized score from 1 to 5 points. The following stages
were represented by the transposition of consumers' voice in quantifiable technical requirements, their correlation using
predefined symbols, establishing the direction of improving the quality of the new product, assessing current
competition and determination of target values. Following the analysis, the most important consumer requirements for
chocolate were: the taste of cocoa (25%), the flavor (25%), the fine texture (20%), the small amount of sugar (15%) and
an affordable price (15%). Thus, in order to meet consumer requirements, the replacement of sugar with coconut nectar
sugar or dates powder as alternative sweetener led to a healthy product, but which will have a higher price compared to
the products currently available on the market. However, applying the level II/ III of QFD methodology the low cost
was provided by mitigation of price of raw material’s
