As políticas públicas para a Educação no Direito da União Africana
This paper presents an analysis of the legislative framework that underpins the set of public policies for education developed by the African Union and which inform educational policy across Africa. Adopting a multilevel approach, the study begins with the normative framework established by the African Union and traces the adaptation, implementation, and operationalisation of educational public policies as they move from the international level to the sub-regional level—particularly within the Regional Economic Communities to which the selected countries belong. The documentary analysis concentrates specifically on the political instruments adopted by the African Union, especially from 2006 to 2025. The study concludes that, despite a relatively broad and comprehensive codification of legal-political instruments aimed at promoting human rights in the field of education for African citizens, their effectiveness remains limited due to the African Union’s low capacity to attract funding for their implementation
Context quality and social-emotional competencies for children and youth in residential care: A scoping review
Context quality is a major factor in the development of social-emotional competencies in children and youth in residential care. However, the literature shows many problems around the environmental conditions for an adjusted and effective intervention by professionals. Moreover, the literature does not present an easy assessment tool to help professionals diagnose and enhance the ecological variables that influence the development of the needed skills. As such, we performed a scoping review to identify those main variables in the eco-system of residential care. We found that professionals’ qualifications, intervention characteristics, social climate, external support and activities, and professional burden are essential to creating the right conditions for professionals’ success in residential care. This study might lead to practical research among professionals to create a new tool to measure and help the professionals with their crucial work with children and youth in residential care
Turismo e património: Uma articulação muito escassa em territórios de baixa densidade [artigo de imprensa]

Editorial: Climate change and sports events adaptations [editorial]
In the new global economy, sustainability has become a central issue both in academia and practice. Nowadays, it is no longer enough for organizations to act and demonstrate their commitment with the environment; they must also show real involvement, a desire to improve practices, and the ability to communicate their efforts in this regard. Climate change is a major area of interest within the field of the sports industry (1). In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in climate change and the adaptations that the sports industry must make in order to not only seek and exploit opportunities, but also to recognize and respond to regulatory obligations (2). According to the authors, it is essential to integrate the natural environment into sports management strategies, interacting with other areas of sports management (e.g., marketing, psychology, and communication) to promote sustainable and informed practices, thus better preparing sports managers to face environmental challenges. Cemeteries and Literary Tourism [entrada em dicionário]
Cemeteries have traditionally served as spaces of remembrance and mourning, rooted in religious, familial, and national traditions. As cultural landmarks, they embody collective memory and identity. However, beyond their funerary role, many have evolved into destinations for cultural and literary tourism, particularly when they contain the graves of prominent authors. These sites attract visitors seeking to engage with literary heritage emotionally and symbolically. In such contexts, visiting a writer's final resting place becomes more than a gesture of mourning – it is a meaningful act of cultural connection
