Anthropology and higher education: Contributions for the diagnosis of registration retention. The UNMDP as a case study
Get PDFEl presente artículo tiene como objetivo presentar ante la comunidad académica un informe de avance del Programa de Retención de Matrícula que se ha ido desarrollando en el ámbito de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Sociales, en una primera instancia en la carrera de Licenciatura en Turismo.
El sistema referido se basa en el diagnóstico de la matrícula de dicha carrera, teniendo en cuenta su desgranamiento y/o abandono. El estudio del proceso de profesionalización y graduación de los alumnos, a través del análisis de las cohortes y los planes de estudio, es el eje a desarrollar, teniendo en cuenta variables como la lentificación y regularidad de las cursadas de los alumnos, a través de una triangulación cuantitativa y cualitativa en lo metodológico y la construcción de Biografías educativas y laborales.
Los resultados de este trabajo se proyectan hacia la futura inserción laboral del alumno y la vinculación sociedad universidad.This paper aims at presenting a report summary to the academic community about a registration retention program that has been carried out in the Tourism Degree of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences.
This program is based on a registration study diagnosis considering its rate of dropping and / or dropping out. The central axis is the analysis of the process of the students\u27graduation and carreer path, by reviewing the cohort and study plans. Variables such as attendance regularity and duration of studies, through a methodological quantity and quality triangulation and development of educational and labour biographies are taken into account.
The results are projected towards the future labour insertion of the students and the society-university relationship

Get PDFSe presenta el proyecto de investigación y la síntesis de la investigación realizad a fin de introducir en la problemática objeto de estudio y de reflexión: la actualidad y potencialidad del territorio interior bonaerense y la opción de centros urbanos como estrategia de desarrollo de la actividad turística.
La secuencia de presentación comprende: proposición y fundamentos, antecedentes de estudios realizados, premisas adoptadas y desarrollo de la actividad, regiones y centros del interior bonaerense comprendidos en el estudio, proceso y producto de la investigación, actividades de cooperación y transferencia. Se da cuenta de los estudios realizados y de los estudios en publicación, sin perjuicio de consignar actividad en curso al momento de publicar que implican la reflexión y deliberación con operadores y agentes involucrados en los centros objeto de la prospección de nodalidades turísticas.This abstract presents the research and abstract of the research carried out so as to shed some light into the topic subject of study and reflection: the present situation and potentiality of the inland territory of the province of Buenos Aires and the option that urban centres represent a strategy for the development of tourist activity.
The presentation sequence is as follows: proposal and groundwork, precedent of similar studies carried out, adopted premises and development of the activity, regions and centres in the province of Buenos Aires mentioned in the study, process and product of the research, and activities of transfer and cooperation. An account of the studies is given, both those which have been carried out and those in publishing, with no need to mention activity in development at the moment of publishing that may imply reflection and discussion with operators and agents involved with the centres subject of being prospective tourist nodes
Recursos naturales en nodos turísticos
Get PDFSe propone la evaluación de atributos vinculados a los aspectos objetivos de los recursos naturales (características físicas y modos de apropiación material), que los constituirían como atractivos turísticos.
Para ello se analizan, en primer lugar, las condiciones físicas naturales de los recursos vinculados a su atractividad: características intrínsecas y grados de modificación del paisaje natural. Y por el otro, los modos de apropiación material que determinan la aptitud y definen las modalidades e intensidades de uso que condicionan su calidad y sostenibilidad ambiental.
Los valores asignados a cada variable permiten distinguir y jerarquizar distintos grados de de actualidad o potencialidad turístico recreativa de los recursos en particular y de los centros objeto de estudio, en general.A study of the characteristics related to the objective aspects of the natural resources (physical characteristics and ways of material appropriation) which would turn them into tourist attractions is suggested.
With this purpose certain aspects are analysed: First, the natural physical conditions of the resources related to its attraction: intrinsic characteristic and degrees of modifications of the natural landscape and second, the ways of material appropriation which determine the suitability and define the type and intensity of use which condition quality and environmental protection.
The scores allotted to each variable let us distinguish and estimate different degrees of present or recreational tourist potentiality of the resources in particular and of the centres subject of study in general
Territorial centrality
Get PDFLa condición de centralidad territorial le asigna a la ciudad importancia en la estructura regional al cumplir un doble rol polarizador de irradiación/atracción; dicha importancia se explica mediante indicadores claves tales como la relación rango-tamaño, la acción regionalizante del comercio, la irradiación cultural y científica, el dinamismo industrial multiplicador, la atracción financiera y la eficiencia de gestión. De este modo se convierten en componentes claves de la oferta urbana la base económica, el capital social, la calidad de vida, la accesibilidad, las comunicaciones, el apoyo público y su vocación de competitividad, complementariedad y asociatividad.
Apelando al análisis de las condiciones de centralidad territorial y de rasgos de actualidad y potencialidad para la actividad turístico-recreacional de centro-entorno, se han seleccionado nueve centros urbanos del interior bonaerense susceptibles de constituir una red potencial turístico-recreacional.The condition of territorial centrality provides a city with significance in the regional structure since it fulfils a double polarizing role of radiation-attraction. Such importance can be explained through the use of key indicators such as the relationship rank-size, the action of regionalization of trade, the cultural and scientific radiation, the multiplying industrial dynamism and the efficiency of management. Thus, the economic basis, social capital, life quality, accessibility, communication, public support and the competitive, complementary and partnership character of a city become key components of the urban offer.
Through the analysis of the conditions as a territorial centre and the aspects of present state and potentiality for tourist-recreational activity as a centre, it was possible to select nine urban centres in the Province of Buenos Aires, which are liable to turn into a potential tourist-recreational network

Get PDFSe plantea y se desarrolla la noción de nodalidad turística como entidad territorial para afrontar la puesta en valor y en desarrollo turístico del interior bonaerense, considerando disposición de densidad social, económica y política apropiada y los atributos de interés turístico de la conjunción centro urbano - entorno natural y rural.
La secuencia contempla las nociones turísticas espaciales de aplicación y la concepción territorial de la nodalidad turística, el aporte de estudios realizados en el territorio, la definición y proyección de la nodalidad turística y su consideración a propósito de la aprehensión del territorio, de la expectativa turística, la integración asociativa, la imagen de marca y la actividad recreativa. En el transcurso de la exposición se da cuenta de antecedentes de estudios respecto de centros urbanos cuyos resultados han contribuido a definir la noción de nodalidad turística y a generar la concepción de una estrategia alternativa de desarrollo turístico del interior bonaerense.The notion of tourist node is presented and developed as a territorial entity so as to affront the appraisal and tourist development of the inland territory of the Province of Buenos Aires, considering the appropriate arrangement of social, economic and political density and the attributes of tourist interest of the conjunction urban centre - natural and rural environment.
The sequence contemplates the tourist spatial notions of application and the territorial conception of tourist node, the contribution of studies carried out in the territory, the definition and projection of tourist nodes and their consideration as regards the perception of the territory, tourist expectations, associative integration, brand name image and recreational activity. Throughout the exposition there are accounts of preceding studies connected with urban centres whose results have contributed to define the notion of tourist nodes and to generate the conception of an alternative strategy of tourist development of the inland area of the Province of Buenos Aires

Get PDFSe realiza el diagnóstico del interior bonaerense apelando al análisis externo de condiciones, amenazas y oportunidades, considerando las proyecciones que resultan de dicho análisis, y al análisis interno de atributos, fortalezas y debilidades que permiten inscribir las expectativas de la valoración turística en relación a la actualidad y potencialidad de la actividad turística en el territorio. La nodalidad turística, tal como se concibe en el territorio y se proyecta en la actividad, identifica unidades que, al asumir centralidades territoriales, acreditan atributos para el desarrollo de la actividad turística que atenúan amenazas y amplían oportunidades cuanto acentúan fortalezas y reducen debilidades, proponiendo condiciones apropiadas al despegue, la valorización y el desarrollo de cada uno de los nodos, según sea la fase que plantea su estado actual respecto del devenir turístico. El estudio de los atributos, recursos y servicios, realizados en la investigación dan cuenta de centros cuya actualidad turística acredita la conformación de nodalidades turísticas y de centros cuya potencialidad turística podría viabilizarse de promoverse y generarse nodalidades turísticas apropiadas.The article deals with the diagnosis of the inland in the province of Buenos Aires by resorting to the external analysis of conditions, threats and opportunities, and by considering the projections resulting from such analysis. There is also an internal analysis of attributes, strengths and weaknesses that allow for the inclusion of expectations of tourist appraisal as related to present situation and potentiality of tourist activity in the territory above mentioned. Touristic nodes, as conceived in the territory and reflected in the activity, identify units such that, when acquiring the state of territorial centrality, provide themselves with attributes that diminish the threats posed and widen the opportunities as they stress strengths and reduce weaknesses. In this way, they propose appropriate conditions for the creation, appraisal and development of each of these nodes, according to the stage in which they are found in their present state with respect to tourist future. The study of attributes, resources and services carried out in this research accounts for centres whose tourist activity credits the creation of tourist nodes as well as those centres whose tourist potentiality could be promoted and would in turn generate appropriate touristic nodes
From tourism in inland territory to touristic nodes
Get PDFSe presenta la proposición, producto de la investigación realizada respecto del interior bonaerense en el propósito de identificar y desarrollar una estrategia apropiada de desarrollo turístico. La proposición se inscribe en un proceso que en estudios precedentes supuso reivindicar la entidad del interior para constituirse en opción turística, a escala de sus atributos y expectativas, y en el presente estudio propicia la adopción de una estrategia sustentada en la noción de nodalidad turística.
La secuencia de presentación de la proposición transita los temas del enfoque, las condiciones, los objetivos, las políticas, las estrategias y los programas que identifican las acciones necesarias de identificar y acreditar, de singularizar y diversificar, de desconcentrar y desestacionalizar las nodalidades prospectadas en su potencialidad y actualidad turística. Se plantea el turismo nodal en relación al desarrollo turístico, al desarrollo local y se propicia la adopción de un plan integral de la modalidad turística.
La contribución concluye de las conjeturas a las aperturas, a fin de dar cuenta del aporte de la investigación realizada al programa de investigación en curso y de las transferencias proyectadas para transitar de la investigación a la acción a través de la persuasión de los actores involucrados en cada nodalidad turística.This is a presentation of a proposal stemming from the product of research carried out regarding the inland territory in the province of Buenos Aires. Its main aim is to identify and develop an appropriate strategy of tourist development. The proposal is included in a process which, in precedent studies, was useful to vindicate the entity of inland territories to turn them into a tourist option according to their attributes and expectations. The present study favours the adoption of a strategy supported by the notion of tourist nodes. The organization for the presentation of the proposal includes central topics, conditions, goals, politics, strategies and programmes that identify necessary actions to identify, credit, single out and diversify the touristic nodes under study. Touristic nodes are mentioned in relation to touristic development and local development and the idea is to foster the adoption of an integral plan of this tourist system. This contribution shows the results of the current investigation and the planned transferences to go from investigation to action by persuading the actors involved in every touristic node
The socio-institutional touristic issue in urban centres in the Province of Buenos Aires

Se centra en el análisis de la dimensión socio-institucional que expresa el proceso de gestión de la actividad turística, a partir del rol que desempeñan los actores sociales representantes del sector público, sector privado y tercer sector, vinculados directa o indirectamente con la actividad, para alcanzar el desarrollo turístico de una comunidad. Se realiza una serie de apreciaciones sobre la situación socio-institucional en los centros urbanos objeto de estudio: Pergamino, Chivilcoy, Junín, Chascomús, Olavarría, Azul, Tandil, Trenque Lauquen y Bahía Blanca.This article introduces the reader to a summary of the report written out in the context of the research "Urban Centres in Buenos Aires - appraisal and development of a tourist recreational network". The research was carried out by the Centre of Tourist Research at the National University in Mar del Plata in the period 2003-2004.Its main idea lies in the analysis of the socio-institutional dimension which expresses the process of management of tourist activity, departing from the role of the social actors which represent the public, private and third sectors directly or indirectly connected with the activity, so as to achieve the tourist development of a community. Esta tendencia se asocia al surgimiento de una nueva ética en el campo de la educación superior, vinculada al desarrollo de la calidad, la eficiencia y el desempeño. Es posible observar una redefinición de las relaciones entre estado y gobierno, por un lado, y los sistemas de educación superior, por el otro: desde el sector público surge el estado evaluativo y en el sistema de educación superior aparece una ética competitiva como principal motor de desarrollo.At present scientific-academic evaluation constitutes a point of debate in the field of higher education at international level. This trend is associated to the rise of a new ethics in the field of higher education linked to quality, efficiency and performance development. It is possible to observe a redefinition of the relationship between state and government on the one hand and the systems of higher education on the other.
From the public sector the assessing state arises and from the higher education system a competitive ethics as a development tool is implemented
