Formação profissional em Educação Física: uma análise legal e acadêmica sobre a implementação do ingresso único, formação comum e dupla formação em licenciatura e bacharelado no curso de Educação Física da Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS)
Get PDFThis study analyzes the regulations governing the selection process for Specific Stages in the Physical Education program at the Federal University of Sergipe, considering the Bachelor's and Teacher Education degrees offered by the institution. It proposes a regulatory framework that meets institutional needs while aligning with Brazilian educational guidelines, ensuring legally valid training that addresses the professional demands of the field. The examination of regulatory directives related to dual degree programs, as established by Resolution CNE/CES No. 6/2018 and detailed in Technical Note No. 36/2024/DPR/SERES/SERES, highlights the necessity of specific regulations for implementing this model in Higher Education Institutions. The findings indicate that dual degree programs can be conducted in a continuous and sequential manner without violating current legislation, provided that they comply with the regulatory criteria of the e-MEC system, institutional curricular organization, and the issuance of distinct diplomas as stipulated in Resolution CNE/CES No. 6/2018.Propone un análisis de la estandarización que sustenta el proceso de elección de las Etapas Específicas realizado en la carrera de Educación Física, a partir del caso de la Universidad Federal de Sergipe, considerando las carreras de Licenciatura y Licenciatura ofrecidas por la institución. Presenta una propuesta normativa que atiende a las necesidades institucionales y está alineada con las directrices educativas brasileñas, garantizando una formación jurídicamente válida y ajustada a las exigencias profesionales del área. El análisis de los lineamientos normativos relacionados con la doble formación, establecidos por la Resolución CNE/CES nº 6/2018 y detallados en la Nota Técnica nº 36/2024/DPR/SERES/SERES, resalta la necesidad de normativa específica para implementar este modelo en las Instituciones de Educación Superior. Se concluye que la doble formación puede ocurrir de manera continua y posterior, sin violar la legislación vigente, siempre y cuando se respeten los criterios normativos del sistema e-MEC, la organización curricular institucional y la expedición de títulos distintos previstos en la Resolución CNE/CES N° 6/2018.Propõe uma análise da normatização que sustenta o processo de escolha das Etapas Específicas realizadas no curso de Educação Física, a partir do caso da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, considerando as formações de Bacharelado e Licenciatura oferecidas pela instituição. Apresenta uma proposta de regulamentação que atenda às necessidades institucionais e esteja alinhada às diretrizes educacionais brasileiras, assegurando uma formação juridicamente válida e ajustada às demandas profissionais da área. A análise das diretrizes normativas relacionadas à dupla formação, conforme estabelecido pela Resolução CNE/CES nº 6/2018 e detalhado na Nota Técnica nº 36/2024/DPR/SERES/SERES, evidencia a necessidade de regulamentação específica para implementação desse modelo nas Instituições de Ensino Superior. Conclui-se que a dupla formação pode ocorrer de maneira contínua e subsequente, sem infringir a legislação vigente, desde que respeitados os critérios regulamentares do sistema e-MEC, a organização curricular institucional e a emissão de diplomas distintos conforme previsto na Resolução CNE/CES nº 6/2018

Get PDFThis article argues for the need to study the trajectories and practices of British managers of sheep farming industry in Southern Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. While providing comparative evidence and historiographical analysis, the methodological proposal suggested here responds to characteristics such as the incorporation of the South American southernmost region into the British imperial sheep farming circuits, the largely British composition of managers who arrived in Patagonia as part of a context of administrative expansion for labour control, and features of the observable practices of supervision in different British labour regimes. It is argued that estancias and frigoríficos in the Patagonian region were part of an imperial context of British colonial labour regimes. In this manner, it proposes an approach to research on British managers and their experiences, contributing to a deeper understanding of labour relations and conflicts, already studied on a local scale, from a global approach to the fuegian-patagonian labour history.En este artículo se argumenta sobre la necesidad de estudiar las trayectorias y prácticas de administradores británicos de la ganadería ovina de Patagonia Austral y Tierra del Fuego. A la vez que se provee evidencia comparativa y análisis historiográfico, la propuesta metodológica que aquí se sugiere responde a características como la incorporación de la región austral sudamericana a los circuitos ovejeros del imperio británico, la composición mayoritariamente británica de los managers que llegaron a Patagonia como parte de un contexto de auge administrativo para el control del trabajo, y características de las prácticas observables de supervisión en distintos regímenes del trabajo británicos. Se plantea que las estancias y frigoríficos en la región patagónica formaron parte de un contexto imperial de regímenes de trabajo coloniales británicos. De esta manera, se propone un enfoque de indagación sobre administradores británicos y sus experiencias, contribuyendo a comprender más en profundidad las relaciones y conflictos laborales, ya estudiados a escala local, desde un enfoque global de la historia del trabajo fueguino-patagónica

Tradução comentada do conto "Baleia", de Graciliano Ramos, para a língua inglesa
Get PDFThe aim of this study was to present an annotated translation of the short story "Baleia", by Graciliano Ramos, into English. To this end, the annotated translation is guided by the description and discussion of the choices made to deal with elements of the Northeastern hinterland described in the work, which demarcates the Caatinga biome, exclusive to Brazilian territory. The theoretical basis is built on research by Torres (2017), on annotated translation; Berman (2013), exploring the systematics of deformation; Venuti (2019, 2021), on domestication and foreignization; Daghoughi and Hashemian (2016) and Franco Aixelá (2013), in reflections on cultural-specific items and cultural markers; and Gambier (2010), on translation strategies, among other researchers in Translation studies. The translation process described in the comments also draws on studies from other areas of knowledge, denoting the multidisciplinary interface of Translation studies, evidenced in this study by research related to the field of Biology, specifically Botany, Zoology and Phylogenetic Systematics to locate genera and species mentioned in the narrative and understand the distribution and translation possibilities of these elements through the relationship between vernacular name and scientific name. The reflection on the choices presented in the translation commentary makes explicit and theorizes the decisions made and the deliberate choice to conserve, where possible, the elements of the biome in order to finally present the translated short story.Este estudo objetivou apresentar o comentário da tradução do conto "Baleia", de Graciliano Ramos, para o inglês. Para tanto, o comentário de tradução se orienta pela descrição e discussão das escolhas realizadas para lidar com elementos do sertão nordestino descrito na obra que demarca o bioma Caatinga, exclusivo do território brasileiro. A fundamentação teórica se orienta pelas pesquisas de Torres (2017), sobre tradução comentada; Berman (2013), explorando a sistemática da deformação; Venuti (2019, 2021), sobre domesticação e estrangeirização; Daghoughi e Hashemian (2016) e Franco Aixelá (2013), em reflexões acerca de itens culturais-específicos e marcadores culturais; e Gambier (2010), sobre estratégias tradutórias, entre outros pesquisadores dos estudos da tradução. O processo tradutório descrito nos comentários recorre também aos estudos de outras áreas de conhecimento, denotando a interface multidisciplinar dos estudos da tradução, evidenciada neste estudo pelas pesquisas relacionadas ao campo da Biologia, especificamente a Botânica, Zoologia e a Sistemática filogenética para localizar gêneros e espécies citadas na narrativa e entender a distribuição e as possibilidades de tradução destes elementos através da relação entre nome vernacular e nome científico. A reflexão sobre as escolhas apresentada no comentário da tradução explicita e teoriza as decisões tomadas e a escolha deliberada por conservar, quando possível os elementos do bioma, para, por fim, apresentar o conto traduzido
Mestrados Profissionais em Ensino de Ciências: as instituições e seus participantes no olhar da pesquisa
Get PDFThe Professional Master's in Science Education (MPEC) are relevant in the context of Teacher Education in Brazil. Seeking to contribute to discussions about this modality, we conducted a meta-synthesis of critiques, concerns, appreciations, and expectations regarding aspects of MPEC expressed in scientific articles and editorials. We analyzed such value assertions of the Participants and the Institutional Organization of MPEC. Positive value assertions are present, such as meeting teachers’ and schools’ demands, and negative ones, such as the precariousness of teaching work. The discussions in our investigation can support reflections and decisions regarding the future of this modality.Os Mestrados Profissionais em Ensino de Ciências (MPEC) são relevantes no cenário de Formação Docente no Brasil. Visando contribuir para discussões sobre a modalidade, realizamos uma metassíntese de críticas, receios, apreciações e expectativas sobre aspectos dos MPEC expressos em artigos científicos e editoriais. Analisamos asserções de valor sobre Participantes e Organização Institucional dos MPEC. Estão presentes asserções positivas, como o atendimento das demandas docentes e escolares, e negativas, como a precarização do trabalho docente. As discussões em nossa investigação podem amparar para reflexões e decisões sobre o futuro da modalidade
Amborgs and Kinship in Garry Kilworth’s Animal Fantasy Fiction
Get PDFThe aim of this paper is to analyze Garry Kilworth’s animal fantasy fiction in the context of Joan Gordon’s figure of the amborg in order to demonstrate how Kilworth’s re-imagining of interspecies boundaries undermines the Anthropocene’s meta-narrative of human dominance. The three works chosen for analysis—the stand-alone novel Midnight’s Sun (1990), the Welkin Weasels series (1997-2003), and the short story “The Fabulous Beast” (2012)—differ considerably in their depiction of the animal Other yet are linked by a shared message of interspecies kinship, which corresponds to the calls for interconnectedness expressed by many leading researchers of the Anthropocene. Overall, this paper argues that Kilworth’s animal fantasy, and much of contemporary speculative fiction in general, invites its readers to deconstruct the Anthropocene by realigning their optics and seeing the Self in the animal Other, the animal Other in the Self
Rhythms of Iran, Echoes of Ireland: Silenced Voices of Sedigheh Dowlatabadi and Patricia Burke Brogan
Get PDFBeginning with the suffrage movement and gaining momentum after the second wave of feminism in the 1960s and 1970s, feminist scholarship inquired how history could echo justice if only one gender narrated it. This question has highlighted the necessity of revisiting prominent though forgotten female voices in history. Accordingly, the authors of this article examine and compare the plays of two writers to explain how women’s voices are represented as oppressed and silenced subjects who endeavor to break the mental and physical siege surrounding them. Iranian playwright Sedigheh Dowlatabadi (1882-1961) and Irish dramatist Patricia Burke Brogan (1926-2022) attempted to revisit the man-written narratives in their oeuvre in order to challenge the subjugated images of women in their plays The Dark Life and Eclipsed respectively. Unlike in Europe, the suffrage movement never gained momentum in Iran, though women received the right to vote in 1963. Only recently women's social activism found expression through the Woman, Life, and Freedom uprisings. In this article, within the comparative study framework, the authors not only explore the historiographical aspects of Burke Brogan and Dowlatabadi’s feminist dramatic aspects but also revisit their significance within the larger context of women’s activism
Falando com as paredes: espaços de solidão e clausura em Júlia Lopes de Almeida e Charlotte Perkins Gilman
Get PDFIn this article, I analyze the representation of female loneliness in works by Júlia Lopes de Almeida and Charlotte Perkins Gilman. There is evidence that Almeida read the short story “The yellow wallpaper” (1892), by her contemporary Gilman, and was inspired by it in at least two circumstances, as this article will show. In Almeida’s novel Cruel amor (1911), enclosure (as in Gilman's short story) is at the root of female madness; it is its cause and consequence. In the short story “No muro” (1898), there is not exactly closure, but isolation, which allows the character to delve into her memories, through which she accesses facts and concerns that she would prefer to have left in the shadows. Bringing to center stage the unprecedented relationship between these Brazilian and North American writers is a way of suggesting that external influences served as a stimulus for expanding the expressive resources of Brazilian feminist writing.Neste artigo, analiso a representação da solidão feminina em obras de Júlia Lopes de Almeida e Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Há indícios de que Almeida tenha lido o conto “The yellow wallpaper” (1892), de sua contemporânea Gilman, e tenha se inspirado nele em pelo menos duas circunstâncias, como o artigo evidenciará. No romance Cruel amor (1911), de Almeida, a clausura (como no conto de Gilman) está na raiz da loucura feminina, é sua causa e consequência. Já no conto “No muro” (1898), não há precisamente clausura, mas isolamento, que permite à personagem um mergulho em suas memórias, por meio das quais ela acessa lembranças que preferiria ter deixado nas sombras.
