Generating a Deepfake Frame: A Text Mining Study Based on Reddit
Get PDFThis study investigates the understanding of deepfake, a highly realistic AI mimicry technique that is rapidly evolving to produce increasingly realistic videos and explores the construction of a deepfake framework through the lens of audience communication using framing theory. It identifies three key findings. First, the public discourse on deepfakes forms a concept hierarchy emphasising technology and its entertainment applications, with core concepts including AI, voice, actor and job, while peripheral concerns such as consent and company receive less focus. Second, employing the BERTopic algorithm, latent themes in public discussions were categorised into two dimensions: social dynamics and cultural phenomena. Third, sentiment analysis reveals predominantly neutral or negative attitudes, indicating concerns over the risks and societal impacts of deepfake technology. The deepfakes framework developed here provides a structured approach to understanding these impacts, highlighting the need for ethical considerations in technological development, regulatory measures and public education
Perceptions of Self-Efficacy with Misinformation: Evolution towards Resilience Among European Citizens (2018–2022)
Get PDFResilience to misinformation has been conceptualised and defined as an intangible resource belonging to a country, a measure of the capacity of its citizens to deploy discerning and cognitive skills to determine the veracity or falsehood of information, as well as be aware of the degree of the problem. This conceptualisation allows for value to emerge from cross-country and cross-time analyses of data on perceptions of self-efficacy in curbing misinformation. Using data from Eurobarometer, this research conducts analyses at whole-country level, and 1. identifies key components of individuals’ perceptions about their resilience to misinformation; 2. produces a factor with which cross-time observations can be operationalised; 3. shows evolution over time (2018–2022) for European citizens from 27 countries. Overall, results disclose a growing trend, and this is so for both specific individual attitudes and skills, as well as the resulting factor as a whole. The causes and implications of the findings are discussed to provide hints on how to improve public policies, such as taking into account self-perceptions of efficacy in fighting misinformation alongside media literacy strategies that engage citizens in curbing misinformation

Jelen tanulmány arra vállalkozik, hogy átfogó jelleggel bemutassa, milyen jellegű kihívásoknak kell megfelelniük a városoknak napjainkban, hogy emberi léptékű, a modern kor elvárásainak megfelelő települések alakuljanak. Az Agenda 2030 céljainak teljesüléséhez való hozzájárulást és annak társadalomra gyakorolt hatásaival összefüggő kormányzati feladatokat is bemutatja. Get PDFAdequate responses – both from individuals and from organizations – to the increasingly complex challenges of the 21st century presuppose a combination of such leadership competencies that are essential for effectively and successfully executing tasks in the changing security and operational environment. Creating the network environment that characterizes today’s operations (also at the tactical leadership level) increases the responsibility of the commander. The increasingly complex operational environment demands that decentralization must be emphasized in the decision making process and in the conduct of operations. Furthermore, the fleeting opportunities in emerging tactical situations also require quick reactions and timely and correct decisions by small unit leaders. The paper provides a short, summary analysis of leadership competencies, capabilities and skills that are necessary for the mission command approach.A 21. század összetett kihívásaira adandó adekvát válaszok olyan kompetenciákat feltételeznek a vezető részéről, amelyek együttes megléte alapvető a változó biztonsági, műveleti környezetben megvalósítandó feladatok hatékony és sikeres teljesítése szempontjából. A napjaink műveleteire jellemző hálózati környezet megnöveli a parancsnokok felelősségét. Az egyre komplexebb műveleti környezet kapcsán a döntéshozatali eljárásban és a műveletvezetésben is nagyobb fókuszt kell kapnia a decentralizációnak, valamint a kialakuló harcászati helyzetek jelentőségének intenzív növekedése szempontjából is fontos a kisalegység-parancsnokok reagálásán múló, megfelelő időben meghozott helyes döntésnek. A tanulmány rövid összefoglaló elemzést ad a vezetői kompetenciákról, képességekről és készségekről a küldetésalapú vezetésszemlélet tükrében. 
Reakciók az orosz–ukrán háborúra a skandináv országokban
Get PDFRussia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 fundamentally changed the security environment in Europe, creating a pressure on neighbouring countries to respond. This was no different in Scandinavia, where Finland gave up decades of military non-alignment, and Sweden centuries of neutrality to apply for NATO membership, while Denmark gave up its opt-out and joined the European Union’s Common Security and Defence Policy. These countries, together with Norway, represent a united front in favour of Euro-Atlantic integration, while Ukraine enjoys their widespread support. This study aims to provide a brief overview of the foreign and security policies of these four Nordic countries in light of the 2022 escalation of the Russia–Ukraine War.Oroszország 2022. február 24-én Ukrajna ellen indított inváziója alapjában változtatta meg az európai biztonsági környezetet, reagálási kényszert teremtve a térség államaiban. Nem volt ez másképp a skandináv országokban sem, ahol Finnország több évtizedes katonai tömbön kívüliségét, Svédország pedig több évszázados semlegességét feladva nyújtotta be tagsági kérelmét a NATO-hoz, Dánia pedig kívülmaradásának (opt-out) véget vetve csatlakozott az Európai Unió közös biztonság- és védelempolitikájához. Az említett országok Norvégiával kiegészülve egységes, az euroatlanti integráció melletti álláspontot képviselnek, Ukrajnát pedig széles körű támogatásban részesítik. Get PDFThe phenomenon of an aging society is a complex issue in the European Union, resulting in an increasing number of elderly people relying on the financial and social support of a shrinking working-age population. This recognition highlights the need to develop shared strategic directions for care, particularly in the field of long-term care, that can be implemented in practice. Since care falls under the jurisdiction of Member States, the lack of a unified approach and the diversity of existing operational practices necessitated the adoption of the European Care Strategy in September 2022. Based on relevant international literature and policy documents, including the European Care Strategy issued by the European Commission, this study argues that the effective and sustainable functioning of care, encompassing multiple policies with differing impacts and perspectives, requires identifying points of connection and synergies. This points toward the creation of a holistic care policy based on an integrated approach.Az elöregedő társadalom jelensége összetett probléma az Európai Unióban, amelynek következtében egyre több időskorú ember lesz rászorulva a csökkenő létszámú munkaképes korú lakosság anyagi és szociális gondoskodására. Ez a felismerés egyaránt szükségessé teszi a gondoskodás, ezen belül különösen a tartós ápolás-gondozás gyakorlatba átültethető közös stratégiai irányainak kialakítását. Mivel a gondozás tagállami hatáskör, az egységes megközelítés hiánya és a létező működési gyakorlatok sokfélesége szükségessé tette az Európai Gondozási Stratégia 2022 szeptemberében történő elfogadását. A tanulmány a releváns nemzetközi szakirodalom, valamint az Európai Bizottság által kiadott Európai Gondozási Stratégia és más szakpolitikai dokumentumok alapján azzal érvel, hogy több, eltérő befolyással és különböző szemléletmóddal bíró szakpolitikát magában foglaló gondozás hatékony és fenntartható működése szükségessé teszi a kapcsolódási pontok, szinergiák felismerését teszi szükségessé, ami egy integrált megközelítésen alapuló, holisztikus gondoskodáspolitika kialakítása felé mutat

Get PDFThe aim of the two studies was to showcase the role of disinformation in attacks against Industry 4.0 systems, with a particular focus on the sentiments appearing on extremist social media platforms surrounding the topics of climate change and electric vehicles. During the study, we provided a detailed explanation of the differences between misinformation, malinformation, and disinformation to better understand the mechanisms and consequences of these phenomena. We analyzed the disinformation uncovered by the European Digital Media Observatory that spread on social media, particularly concerning climate change and electric vehicles. In our investigations, we scrutinized extreme social media platforms such as 4chan, Truth Social, and Telegram to map the reach of disinformation content and its impact on the community. Special attention was given to analyzing the sentiment of comments to understand the emotional charge and polarization of user reactions. Our research highlights the extent to which disinformation affects the security of Industry 4.0 systems and public perception regarding climate change and electric vehicles, and it also offers recommendations for more effective measures against disinformation.A két kutatás célja az volt, hogy bemutassa a dezinformáció szerepét az Ipar 4.0 rendszerek elleni támadásokban, különös tekintettel a klímaváltozás és az elektromos autók témaköre körüli szélsőséges közösségimédia-platformokon megjelenő szentimentekre. A kutatás során részletesen bemutattuk a misinformation, malinformation és dezinformation fogalmainak különbségeit, hogy jobban megértsük ezen jelenségek mechanizmusait és következményeit. Az European Digital Media Observatory által feltárt dezinformációkat elemeztük, amelyek a közösségi médiában terjedtek, különösen a klímaváltozás és az elektromos autók témájában. Vizsgálataink során szélsőséges közösségimédia-platformokat, mint a 4chan, Truth Social és Telegram, vettünk górcső alá, hogy feltérképezzük a dezinformációs tartalmak elérését és azok hatását a közösségre. This publication deals with the causes, consequences and frequency of road transport accidents involving dangerous goods, the possibilities for risk reduction, and the technical solutions for improving the effectiveness of consequence management and their appropriate application.A veszélyes anyagokkal kapcsolatos tevékenységek biztonságát az ipari forradalmak óta mára számos nemzetközi egyezmény garantálja, ugyanakkor a kockázat sosem csökkenthető nullára. Kiemelten igaz ez az áruk helyzetváltoztatásából adódó veszélyhelyzetek kialakulására, ahol rendkívül nehezen előrejelezhető a helyszín, az időpont és a következmény. However, Canadian intelligence has a very rich history. In its development, we find pioneering initiatives, but also serious scandals. This study provides a brief overview of how Canadian intelligence evolved from irregular mounted scouts to the member of the most prominent intelligence communities in the world, introducing the structure of the Canadian intelligence community.Kanada a NATO tagjaként Magyarországgal közös szövetségi rendszerben van, mégis, az Amerikai Egyesült Államokkal vagy az Egyesült Királysággal összehasonlítva kevés ismeretünk van titkosszolgálatának működéséről. Get PDFA repülés, amely mindennapjainkban megkerülhetetlen szerepet vállal a közlekedési, gazdasági, hadi és egészségügyi területeken egy rendkívül összetett rendszer, amelyben az emberi tényező domináns szerepet játszik. A repülésben részt vevő szakemberek, mint például a pilóta, a légiutaskísérő és egyéb területek képviselői döntései, fizikai és mentális kondíciója direkt hatással van a repülésbiztonságra. A hadtudomány klasszikus gondolkodóit is elemezve látjuk, hogy többnyire a stratégia és háborúelmélet aspektusait vizsgálták, de számos ponton párhuzam vonható az emberi tényező és repülésbiztonság területével, amely által részletesebb betekintést nyerünk a döntéshozatal és stresszkezelés mechanizmusába. Jóllehet az automatizáció és a technológia rendületlen fejlődése nagymértékben növelte a repülés hatékonyságát és biztonságát, az emberitényező továbbra is kiemelkedő helyet foglal el a kritikus elemek palettáján. A korszerű orvosbiológiai és információtechnológiai eszközök fejlődése azonban új kapukat nyitott meg a repülések során vizsgált fiziológiai állapot valós idejű monitorozása területén, amely kulcsfontosságú a repülésbiztonsági kockázatok csökkentésében.Aviation, which plays an indispensable role in our daily lives across the transportation, economic, military, and healthcare sectors, is an exceptionally complex system where the human factor holds a dominant position. The decisions, physical, and mental condition of aviation professionals – such as pilots, flight attendants, and other key personnel – have a direct impact on flight safety. Analysing the works of classical military theorists, we see that while their focus was primarily on strategy and the theory of warfare, numerous parallels can be drawn to the domains of human factors and aviation safety. This provides deeper insights into the mechanisms of decision-making and stress management. Although the relentless advancement of automation and technology has significantly increased the efficiency and safety of aviation, the human factor remains a critical element. The development of modern biomedical and information technology tools has opened new possibilities for real-time monitoring of physiological states during flights, which is essential for reducing aviation safety risks
