Let's start from the same question: How is it possible that we are working on an object that is not such (Health)? Justification for thinking ten years ago, today, and ten years from now.Let us take it down, as you say, “from its theoretical level to place it on the ground that allows for greater utility”, a pragmatic reason, but one that arises from the need to improve our “work instruments” and from the social contradictions, especially in relation to medical practice and “health” actions.Let us continue by accepting the great generality of the concept of well-being, which allows for the most diverse interpretations in a given society, especially when the adjective “complete” is applied in front of it and the adjective “social” behind it. If the health sector sets itself this objective, it is impossible to define its specific field of action, apart, of course, from the fact that the target is unreachable in the distance and movable in each given society and period.Comenzaré por centrarme en el capítulo Enfermedad y Sociedad, de tu segundo libro con idéntico título. Partamos del mismo interrogante: ¿Cómo es posible que estemos trabajando sobre un objeto que no es tal? (Salud). Justificación para pensar hace diez años, hoy, y dentro de otros diez.Bajémoslo, como dices, "del nivel teórico en que se encuentra para colocarlo en el terreno que permita una mayor utilidad" razón pragmática por demás, pero que surge de la necesidad de mejorar nuestros "instrumentos de trabajo" y de las contradicciones sociales, especialmente referidas a la práctica médica y las acciones de "salud".Continuemos por aceptar la gran generalidad del concepto bienestar, que permite las más diversas interpretaciones en una sociedad dada, especialmente cuando se le aplica delante el adjetivo "completo" y detrás el adjetivo "social". SOBRE EL CONCEPTO DE SALUD - ENFERMEDAD: Un Punto de Vista Epidemiológico
No full textIn the last 10 years, the controversy surrounding the concept of health and disease has been rekindled in some Latin American circles. In our opinion, three fundamental facts have contributed to this:A. Since the 1977 World Health Assembly (Resolution WHA 30.43) (1), in which the representatives of the member countries agreed that "the main social goal of governments and WHO should be to achieve for all the world's citizens, by the year 2000, a level of health that will enable them to lead a socially and economically productive life" (SPT/2000); and the subsequent declaration of Alma Ata (1978) where it was emphasized, with the commitment of governments in almost all the countries of the world, that Primary Health Care was the way to achieve these objectives, as part of a general development with a spirit of social justice (2); in 1980, the governments of the Americas agreed on the Regional Strategies and Objectives at the XXVII Directing Council of PAHO (3), establishing precise goals in terms of general mortality and life expectancy at birth. ..En los últimos 10 años se ha reavivado la controversia, en algunos círculos latinoamericanos, en torno al concepto de salud y enfermedad. A ello han contribuido, según nuestro parecer, tres hechos fundamentales:A. A partir de la Asamblea Mundial de la Salud de 1977 (Resolución WHA 30,43) (1), en la cual los representantes de los países miembros acordaron que "la principal meta social de los gobiernos y de la OMS debería ser alcanzar para todos los ciudadanos del mundo, para el año 2000, un nivel de salud que les permita llevar una vida social y económicamente productiva" (SPT/2000); y de la declaración posterior de Alma Ata (1978) donde se enfatizó, con el compromiso de los gobiernos en casi todos los países del mundo, que la Atención Primaria era el camino para alcanzar estos objetivos, como parte de un desarrollo general con espíritu de justicia social (2); en 1980 los gobiernos de América acordaron en el XXVII Consejo Directivo de la OPS las Estrategias y Objetivos Regionales (3), estableciéndose metas precisas en términos de mortalidad general, y expectativa de vida al nacer..
Inhibition of a Myotoxic Phospholipase A2 isolated from Crotalus durissus cumanensis by Pentacyclic Triterpenes
No full textBACKGROUND: Ophidian accidents have been recognized as public health events in Colombia since 2004 and have been systematically reported since 2007, constituting a significant public health problem. One of the components present in the venoms of Viperidae snakes is the phospholipase A2 (PLA2) enzyme, playing a fundamental role in snakebite poisoning and responsible for many of the local effects that are not neutralized by antivenoms, the only treatment approved for the management of these accidents. Traditional herbal treatments hold promise, with ethnopharmacological studies emphasizing compounds, particularly pentacyclic triterpenes, as potential inhibitors of PLA2. OBJECTIVE: To identify compounds with the potential to reduce or neutralize the local effects generated by PLA2, present in the venom of snakes of the Viperidae family, the major cause of ophidian accidents in Colombia. METHODS: Four triterpenic compounds (madecassic acid, ursolic acid, betulinic acid, and oleanolic acid) were evaluated to determine the inhibitory capacity on the enzymatic activity of myotoxic phospholipase A2, extracted from Crotalus durissus cumanensis venom and purified by RP-HPLC. To determine the inhibitory capacity of the compounds against the enzymatic activity of PLA2, the synthetic monodisperse substrate 4-nitro-3- (octanoloxy) benzoic acid was used. Molecular docking was also performed to identify by visual inspection the interactions between the compounds and the active site of the enzyme. RESULTS: The highest percentage of inhibition was presented by ursolic acid (47.01%). This is supported by the results of the molecular docking, where this compound was found to have interactions with Leu2, Phe24, Tyr52, and Lys69, amino acids involved in the catalytic activity of the enzyme. CONCLUSIONS: Ursolic acid was determined as the most promising compound among the four evaluated against the local effects generated by PLA2. Future studies may be performed to determine other potential benefits of these compounds versus other biological actions of the enzyme

No full textIn this work we turn the research experience on the practices conventionally called “Lawfare”, we seek a more precise definition, we analyze the phenomena that articulates this type of practices, we try to understand its logic overall by resorting to the category of “device” from a critical and located in our región thought, from the decolonizing turn of social sciences as an affectation of democracy and the constitutional state of law. Also as a symptom of crisis of the modern relationship between law and truth in its basic claims. Finally, we begin a reflection on the subject from the perspective of the philosophy of liberationEn este trabajo volcamos la experiencia de investigación sobre las prácticas convencionalmente denominadas “Lawfare”, procuramos una definición más precisa, analizamos los fenómenos que articula este tipo de prácticas, intentamos comprender su lógica de conjunto recurriendo a la categoría de “dispositivo” desde un pensamiento critico y situado en nuestra región, desde el giro descolonizador de las ciencias sociales como una afectación de la democracia y el estado constitucional de derecho. También como un síntoma de crisis de la relación moderna entre derecho y verdad en sus pretensiones básicas. Finalmente, iniciamos una reflexión sobre el tema desde la perspectiva de la Filosofia de la Liberación.Neste trabalho, apresentamos a experiência de pesquisa sobre as práticas convencionalmente denominadas "Lawfare". Buscamos uma definição mais precisa e analisamos os fenômenos que esse tipo de prática articula. Tentamos compreender sua lógica de conjunto recorrendo à categoria de "dispositivo" a partir de um pensamento crítico e situado em nossa região, com base na guinada descolonizadora das ciências sociais. Consideramos o Lawfare como uma afetação da democracia e do estado constitucional de direito, bem como um sintoma de crise da relação moderna entre direito e verdade em suas pretensões básicas. Finalmente, iniciamos uma reflexão sobre o tema a partir da perspectiva da Filosofia da Libertação
La argumentación en programas de asignaturas universitarias: implicaciones para la formación docente
No full textThis article characterizes the argumentative dimension that runs through the genres linked to didactic planning (syllabuses, programs, lesson plans, teaching sequences, etc.). Based on an analysis of 66 syllabuses of pedagogical training subjects from different teacher training courses offered by a public university in Argentina and interviews with students, we found that didactic planning is a practice determined by a strong argumentative, critical, and epistemic dimension. In these genres, the argumentative function is central, since planning requires constructing a coherent perspective on what, how, for what, for whom, and why what is taught is taught and needs to be worked on as a backbone content in university teacher training.ste artículo presenta una caracterización de la argumentación que atraviesa uno de los principales géneros vinculados con la programación de la enseñanza: los programas de asignaturas. Desde un enfoque textual cognitivo-comunicativo, los programas de asignaturas forman parte de los géneros vinculados con la programación de la enseñanza, en tanto clases textuales que proyectan los procedimientos y las prácticas destinados a concretar las intenciones pedagógicas (planificaciones de clases, secuencias didácticas, planes de estudio, diseños curriculares, etc.). A partir de una investigación de diseño mixto, con base en un análisis de 66 programas de asignaturas de formación pedagógica de distintos profesorados ofrecidos por una universidad pública argentina y de 24 entrevistas a estudiantes, hallamos que la programación de la enseñanza es una práctica argumentativa, crítica y epistémica. En estos programas, la argumentación es central, puesto que programar requiere construir una perspectiva coherente sobre qué, cómo, para qué, para quiénes y por qué se enseña lo que se enseña y precisa trabajarse como un contenido vertebrador en la formación docente universitaria.

No full textLiteracy has undergone a reconfiguration process, particularly with the recognition of unschooling practices and multimodality. To study this process in Latin America, a qualitative and hermeneutical-comprehensive documentary review was carried out on a corpus of research articles on this topic in Latin America, published in journals indexed in Scopus, between 2018 and 2023, with open access. The findings were organized based on two theoretical categories: From traditional literacy to literacies in context and the role of literacies and literate practices in the formation of a critical, autonomous, and democratic citizenship.La alfabetización ha sufrido un proceso de reconfiguración, particularmente, con el reconocimiento de prácticas no escolarizadas y la multimodalidad. Para estudiar este proceso en Latinoamérica, se realizó una revisión documental, cualitativa y hermenéutico-comprensiva, en un corpus de artículos de investigación sobre esta temática en Latinoamérica, publicados en revistas indexadas en Scopus, entre 2018 y 2023, con acceso abierto. Los hallazgos se organizaron a partir de dos categorías teóricas: Desde la alfabetización tradicional a las alfabetizaciones en contexto y el rol de las literacidades y las prácticas letradas en la formación de una ciudadanía crítica, autónoma y democrática
