Maternidad y creación: una aproximación híbrida
As reflected in numerous works and research, the works of women artists have been generally invisibilized. But if there has been an even more hidden and underestimated layer, it is that of those proposals that speak of “women’s issues” or feminine problems. This text presents an artistic, literary and poetic review of works by women that deal with maternity and specifically with childbirth.
The work arises and is nourished by personal experience, which is the guiding thread of the research and intertwines multiple referents generating a hybrid text. The autobiographical experience is also knowledge that can become universal and extrapolated. We participate in the new voices, the new discourses that speak openly and without fear of motherhood, accompanied by an amalgam of artists, writers and poets who also did it.Como reflejan numerosos trabajos e investigaciones, las obras de mujeres artistas han sido generalmente invisibilizadas.

Metadiscourse markers constitute linguistic mechanisms that contribute to providing conviction to discourse and to establishing relationships between the sender and the receiver. This article presents an analysis of interpersonal metadiscourse in a corpus of oral presentations in Spanish made by students of E.T.S of Architecture of Madrid. In its quantitative and qualitative methodology, specific interpersonal markers (attitude, self-mention, hedges, and boosters) were identified and then quantified using the tool Sketch Engine. This provided their frequency index in our corpus. These were then compared with a general register reference corpus. The application of the binomial test showed significant differences in the use of specific hedges and self-mention markers between the specialized corpus and the general register corpus. This study provides new data on the prototypical metadiscursive strategies of this subgenre that can be used in the defense of projects in both the academic and professional field.
Effect of crossbreeding on growth performance, gene expression and Gompertz modelling in meat rabbit under Egyptian environmental conditions
The purpose of this research was to compare the growth performance and gene expression variations in three genetic groups of meat rabbits: Alexandria line (AA), V line (VV) and the cross between Alexandria line males and V line females (AV). For the three genetic groups, which were raised under Egyptian environmental conditions, the studied offspring growth traits were individual weight at weaning (WW, 4 wk) and the end of fattening period (MW, 9 wk) and individual daily weight gain. A total number of 22 bucks, 93 does and 792 kits were used in the study. The Gompertz model was periodically used to examine the rabbits’ growth. Five kits per group were used to collect liver tissue samples at marketing age (63 d) for gene expression analysis. According to the findings, the AV strain had a body weight of 135 g more than the AA strain and 277 g higher than the VV strain. The AV strain also showed a decreased daily feed consumption and a better feed conversion ratio. With strong coefficients of determination (R²=0.86), the Gompertz growth curve successfully approximated the growth curves for all genotypes. Our results also revealed that VV strain had the highest myostatin expression, while AA and cross strains had the lowest. In contrast, there was a statistically significant difference in the growth hormone receptor (GHR) and the growth hormone secretagogue receptor mRNA levels between the VV, AA and AV strains, with the cross strain having the highest levels of GHR mRNA expression. These findings suggest that the AV strain reached maturity earlier than the AA and VV strains, which is beneficial for optimising growth and breeding processes. Furthermore, rabbits’ development, metabolism and general health may be affected by hereditary factors that impact gene expression in liver tissues. To better understand the processes at work and their possible uses in breeding programmes, further study is required
Short communication. Constraints and development pathways of rabbit farming in the Southern Philippines: a socioeconomic perspective
Rabbit farming is emerging as an alternative livestock enterprise in the Philippines, particularly in response to the pork supply deficit caused by African Swine Fever. Despite its technical viability and low production cost, rabbit farming systems in the Philippines remain largely informal and face multiple socioeconomic and market-related constraints. Using a Rapid Rural Appraisal approach, this study engaged 290 rabbit farmers across five provinces to identify key barriers and potential development pathways. Findings revealed that most respondents were smallholder farmers with limited experience, integrating rabbit raising as a supplementary livelihood. The sector is male-dominated, with men older, more experienced and earning significantly higher household income than female raisers. While both sexes tended to raise similar rabbit breeds, males have more rabbits kept and derive income primarily from farming, whereas females are more engaged in non-farming income sources. Major constraints included limited market access, high breeder stock costs, inadequate veterinary and technical services and the absence of structured training programmes. Market-side issues such as low consumer acceptance and the limited availability of rabbit meat in public markets further hindered viability. Despite these challenges, farmers identified practical solutions, including the need for technical training, cooperative marketing, access to starter kits (cages, breeding stock, feeds), and local feed development. These insights underscore the critical need for an integrated support mechanism. Value chain enhancement, market integration and consumer education are essential to promote the growth and sustainability of the rabbit farming sector in the region
Opening sequences represent more than an informative account of the contributors to an audiovisual production. In addition to crediting, openings help to establish the tone of a series and the viewers’ expectations in a persuasive way through visual resources and editing. In the context of audiovisual platforms and the viralisation of clips via social networks, these brief particles represent an excellent promotional opportunity for studios, which showcase their best production values to improving their own brand perception. In this article we propose an analysis of two case studies, the openings of the Netflix Originals anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Hiroyuki Imaishi, Trigger, 2022) and Devilman Crybaby (Masaaki Yuasa, Science Saru, 2018). Through a formal analysis from advertising and brand management perspective, the identifying function of these openings is related to the search for prestige by the studios responsible for them in a powerful showcase: the global Netflix catalogue.
Animation cinema has evolved significantly to integrate color as a key element in narrative and character development, largely neglecting accessibility for people with color blindness. This study examines how the use of color in animated films can create visual barriers for colorblind viewers, affecting both their understanding of the plot and their visual experience. Using examples from iconic films and the proposal of the “Color Blind Accessibility Principles,” the study argues for the need to adopt more inclusive visual design practices. Additionally, it highlights the necessity of educating designers and animators about visual accessibility, which would not only broaden the audience but also enhance cinematic creation. Finally, it emphasizes that implementing these measures is not just an ethical issue but also an opportunity to innovate within the animation industry.
This paper analyses, through drawings, what makes Daneri’s architecture in post-war Genoa different and transgressive, and what drives him to investigate and experiment with new approaches, sometimes contrary to the rest of INA-Casa’s interventions in Italy. The quartieri are unique for their openness to modernity, sometimes imported, which paves the way to prefabrication, synonymous with technological advancement. The testimony of Grossi Bianchi, co-author with Bernabò Brea, confirms the influence of Le Corbusier. The drawings evidence his intention to adapt to Genoa’s abrupt topography, existing vegetation, and the introduction of the landscape as a design element. The significant role of architectural dissemination media—magazines, CIAM, triennial—is also highlighted, as they introduce Daneri to modern architecture and simultaneously place him within the international debate.
Fixed point results for set-contractions on semi-metric space with a directed graph
In this paper, fixed point results with respect to generalized rational contractive mappings in semi-metric spaces endowed with a directed graph are proved. Some examples are provided to illustrate the results. The obtained results extend, improve and generalize many results in the existing literature
