Get PDFCollage, from its emergence in modern art to its evolution in contemporary practice, has established itself as both an artistic practice and a paradigm of thought that challenges normative structures and broadens the horizons of meaning. Through appropriation, fragmentation, and recomposition, collage not only questions notions of authenticity, authorship, and originality but also serves as tool of resistance against the automation and homogenization driven by contemporary technologies. Its playful, experimental, and subversive nature makes it a critical device for generating new meanings, reaffirming materiality, human error, and narrative diversity. In a context marked by the crisis of transmission and communicative serialization, collage emerges as a proactive strategy that invigorates creation and thought, challenging the limits of representation and opening up unprecedented possibilities in visual and cultural production.El collage, desde su surgimiento en el arte moderno hasta su evolución en la contemporaneidad, se ha consolidado como una práctica artística y un paradigma de pensamiento que desafía las estructuras normativas y amplía los horizontes de significado. A través de la apropiación, la fragmentación y la recomposición, el collage no solo cuestiona nociones de autenticidad, autoría y originalidad, sino que también se erige como una herramienta de resistencia frente a la automatización y la homogenización impulsadas por el uso de las tecnologías actuales. Su naturaleza lúdica, experimental y subversiva lo convierte en un dispositivo crítico para la generación de nuevos sentidos, reivindicando la materialidad, el error humano y la diversidad narrativa. Combining Physics and Mathematics Learning: A Taylor Series Analysis of an Oscillating Magnetic Field
Get PDFIn this work, we present a simple and low-cost experiment designed to study the oscillations of the magnetic field created by a cylindrical magnet under two different conditions: far and short distances from the magnetic sensor. A Taylor’s series expansion of the magnetic field function has been done to study the convergence of the polynomial series to the real field in both situations. To carry out the experiment, a small cylindrical magnet has been attached to an oscillating and well-known spring-mass system. The resulting oscillating magnetic field has been registered with the smartphone by using the magnetometer sensor. A very good agreement has been obtained between the theoretical model for the magnetic field and the experimental data collected with the sensor located near and far from a cylindrical magnet and along its longitudinal axis
Investigación-acción colaborativa en el jardín de Santa Clara-a-Nova en Coimbra
Get PDFThis article proposes a means of intervention in which collaborative practices and research form a basic strategy for the recovery of underutilised heritage spaces. The text examines collaborative action research as a methodological process for the recovery of the abandoned garden of the Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Nova in Coimbra, and its inclusion in the city network of parks and gardens. This intervention is the result of an action carried out in situ, in keeping with the “Take Part” and “Experiments in Environment” initiatives featured in the architect Lawrence Halprin’s collaborative workshops for the regeneration of urban settings in the 1960s and 70s. The action in the monastery garden presents the novel application of shared research principles in a heritage context, combining the interests of users with the exploration of environmental, architectural, and landscape values of this 17th-century complex as a means to learn about reality. The result is a participatory design model on the pre-existing elements and values of the place as a central axis for the recovery of the garden in contrast with traditional park designs and the planning of green areas in the city.El artículo plantea una vía de intervención en la que las prácticas colaborativas y la investigación constituyen la base de una estrategia de recuperación de espacios patrimoniales infrautilizados. El texto aborda la investigación-acción colaborativa como proceso metodológico para la recuperación del jardín abandonado del Monasterio de Santa Clara-a-Nova en Coimbra y su inclusión en la red de parques y jardines de la ciudad. La intervención nace de una acción realizada sobre el propio lugar en la línea de los “Take Part” y los “Experiments in Environment” del arquitecto Lawrence Halprin desarrollados en las décadas de 1960-70 con talleres participativos para la regeneración de ámbitos urbanos. La actuación sobre el jardín del monasterio presenta como novedad la aplicación de los principios de la investigación acción colaborativa sobre un contexto patrimonial, combinando los intereses de los usuarios con la exploración de los valores ambientales, arquitectónicos y paisajísticos de este conjunto histórico del s. XVII como forma de conocimiento de una realidad. El resultado es un modelo de diseño participativo en torno a las preexistencias y valores del lugar como eje vertebrador de la recuperación del jardín frente a los tradicionales diseños de parques y la planificación de zonas verdes en la ciudad
Innovación Educativa con Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos y SIG: Un Enfoque Aplicado al Ferrocarril en España
Get PDFThis article examines the implementation of a Practical Teaching Experience (EPD) in the “Introduction to University” course within the Business Administration and Management (ADE) program at the University of Valencia. Responding to the growing need to integrate practical skills into higher education, this study explores how Project-Based Learning (PBL), combined with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), can transform learning and the acquisition of applied skills. The EPD focuses on analyzing Spain’s railway network, allowing students to develop an understanding of the economic and social effects of railway infrastructure. GIS methodology enables them to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, developing key skills such as critical thinking, analytical capacity, and informed decision-making. Results show high levels of satisfaction among both students and faculty. Students positively valued the use of GIS tools, which enhanced their understanding and motivation and promoted the development of digital and analytical skills. For faculty, the use of advanced technologies like GIS represents a powerful pedagogical tool that facilitates self-learning and fosters student autonomy. This article concludes that the integration of PBL and GIS in higher education prepares students for the labor market by providing them with practical and cross-disciplinary skills essential for facing the challenges of a modern work environment.Este artículo examina la implementación de una Experiencia Práctica Docente (EPD) en la asignatura de Introducción a la Universidad en el grado de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ADE) en la Universitat de València. En respuesta a la creciente necesidad de integrar competencias prácticas en la educación superior, el estudio explora cómo el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP), combinado con el uso de Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG), puede transformar el aprendizaje y la adquisición de habilidades aplicadas. La EPD se centra en el análisis de la red ferroviaria en España, permitiendo a los estudiantes desarrollar una comprensión de los efectos económicos y sociales de la infraestructura ferroviaria. La metodología SIG les permite vincular conocimientos teóricos con aplicaciones prácticas, y desarrollar habilidades clave como el pensamiento crítico, la capacidad de análisis y la toma de decisiones informadas. Los resultados muestran un alto nivel de satisfacción tanto entre estudiantes como docentes. Los estudiantes valoraron positivamente el uso de herramientas SIG, que mejoraron su comprensión y motivación, y favorecieron el desarrollo de competencias digitales y analíticas. Para el profesorado, el uso de tecnologías avanzadas como los SIG representa una herramienta pedagógica poderosa que facilita el autoaprendizaje y fomenta la autonomía del estudiante. Este artículo concluye que la integración de ABP y SIG en la educación superior prepara a los estudiantes para el mercado laboral al proporcionarles habilidades prácticas y transversales necesarias para enfrentar los desafíos de un entorno laboral moderno
Geometría y abstracción. Convergencias entre RCR Arquitectes y Pablo Palazuelo
Get PDFPainting and architecture form an indivisible duality in the work of Pablo Palazuelo. His studies in the field of architecture at the University of Oxford, although unfinished, have largely determined the geometric character of his work. His lines, his forms and the relationships that occur between them came to situate his work in an exceptional balance between different art forms. The search for this balance of shared creativity between fields brought the Catalan studio RCR Arquitectes to study the geometric mechanisms developed by Palazuelo, as reflected in several of their designs. His sketches and watercolours are in keeping with the typological formulas with which Palazuelo worked. Through symmetries, changes of scale, geometric twists and shifts on variations of the same primary form, in this case seeking to architecturally resolve a spatial relationship based on the geometrisation of orthogonal projection.La pintura y la arquitectura forman una dualidad indivisible en la obra de Pablo Palazuelo. Sus estudios en el ámbito arquitectónico realizados en la universidad de Oxford, pese a inacabados, han determinado en gran medida el carácter geométrico de su obra. Sus trazados, sus formas y las relaciones que se producen entre ellas llegaron a situar su obra en un equilibrio excepcional entre distintas formas de arte. La búsqueda de este equilibrio de creatividad compartida entre ámbitos acercó en gran medida al estudio catalán RCR arquitectes a estudiar los mecanismos geométricos desarrollados por Palazuelo, tal y como reflejan varios de sus diseños. Sus bocetos y acuarelas se muestran en consonancia con las fórmulas tipológicas con las que Palazuelo trabajaba. Mediante simetrías, cambios de escala, giros y desplazamientos geométricos sobre las variaciones de una misma forma primaria, persiguiendo, en este caso, resolver arquitectónicamente una relación espacial basada en la geometrización de la proyección ortogonal

Pheromones and behaviour of rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus): a review
Get PDFPheromones are defined as substances released by an individual that have a specific influence on physiology, behaviour or development with another individual of the same species. Currently, the term pheromone is used in various disciplines, from psychology to electrophysiology, or to describe various chemosensory stimuli. The present literature review describes the main pheromone receptors and sources in rabbits, including the vomeronasal organ and the olfactory bulb; the main pheromone-producing glands are also described, such as the chin, anal, Harderian, mammary and the brown inguinal, as well as the urine as the major source for pheromonal communication. This review also provides a comprehensive examination of the role of pheromones in rabbit behaviour, integrating perspectives from physiology, behaviour and practical applications in rabbit farming. It delves into the mechanisms of pheromone action by discussing the main receptors and production sites, categorising pheromones in an orderly manner according to their functional roles in rabbits. Additionally, the review synthesises current research on pheromone influence, while highlighting both ecological implications and welfare improvements. By addressing these topics with scientific depth and practical relevance, this work offers an insightful understanding of rabbit pheromones and their diverse roles
“Explorando a Bluey”: un estudio de valores educativos
Get PDFThe objective of this article is to analyze the values transmitted by the first season of the children’s cartoon series Bluey (Joe Brumm, 2018). It is presented through a mixed research that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The instruments used are observation and semi-structured interview. The results show that, although most of the values of the educational system are present, justice, tolerance, inclusion, and solidarity are underrepresented. Despite its many positive aspects, such as discipline and honesty, it also reproduces undesirable stereotypes and attitudes. Once again the importance of media literacy is projected and the cartoon series Bluey is valued as a teaching resource and object of study.El presente articulo tiene como objetivo el análisis sobre los valores que trasmite la primera temporada de la serie infantil de dibujos animados Bluey (Joe Brumm, 2018). Se presenta a través de una investigación mixta que combina el enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo. Los instrumentos utilizados son la observación y la entrevista semiestructurada. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto que, aunque la mayoría de los valores del sistema educativo están presentes, se observa una menor representación de la justicia, la tolerancia, la inclusión y la solidaridad. A pesar de sus muchos aspectos positivos con valores como disciplina y honestidad, también reproduce estereotipos y actitudes poco deseables. Una vez más se proyecta la importancia de la alfabetización mediática y se pone en valor la serie de dibujos animados Bluey como recurso didáctico y objeto de estudio

No full textThis article offers an approach to the graphic work of Juan Daniel Fullaondo, based on the hypothesis that his true creative impulse was more intensely manifested in drawing than in built architecture. Through the analysis of his collages, washes, fragments, writings, and direct testimonies, the text explores the paradox of an architect who never stopped drawing but never considered drawing to be architecture. Far from projective or academic representation, Fullaondo practiced drawing as a form of thought, autobiography, and resistance, in a large and fundamental part of his graphic and artistic production.Se propone una aproximación a la obra gráfica de Juan Daniel Fullaondo desde la hipótesis de que su verdadera pulsión creativa se manifestó más intensamente en el dibujo que en la arquitectura construida. A través del análisis de sus collages, lavados, fragmentos, escritos y testimonios directos, el texto indaga en la paradoja de un arquitecto que nunca dejó de dibujar, pero también que nunca pensó que ese dibujar fuese realmente “hacer arquitectura”. Lejos de la línea proyectual o de la representación académica, Fullaondo utiliza el dibujo, en una parte fundamental de su producción gráfica y artística, como una forma de pensamiento, de autobiografía y de resistencia
