    The Governing Council of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) will hold its 16th session on 19ÂNovember 2021 as hybrid session with in-person and online participation. Under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, seven SPECA participating countries, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will discuss the outcomes of 2021 SPECA Economic Forum and adopt its conclusions and recommendations.The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development emphasized the role of science, technology and innovation (STI) as an important vehicle for pursuing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
