Destinati alla beatitudine? Antropologia ed escatologia in questione
No full textThe article examines three basic issues concerning eschatology and christian anthropology, that is the experience of happiness, the desire and the soul. With regard to these, on the one hand are recovered, to interact with them, the basic elements of both the reflection of St. Augustine and St. Thomas both the Bible; on the other hand are discussed critically the answers from neurosciences. The paper aims in this way not only offer a reflection closed but also to identify a number of issues that deserve to be addressed by the theological debate.L’articolo perlustra tre tematiche di fondo riguardanti l’escatologia e l’antropologia cristiana, cioè l’esperienza della felicità, il desiderio e l’anima. Riguardo a queste, da una parte sono recuperati, per interagire con loro, gli elementi fondamentali sia della riflessione di sant’Agostino e di san Tommaso sia della Bibbia; dall’altra, sono discusse criticamente le risposte provenienti dalle neuroscienze. Il contributo, così, tende non tanto ad offrire una riflessione chiusa quanto ad individuare una serie di questioni che meritano di essere affrontate dal dibattito teologico

No full textOne of the features of the pastoral ministry of Carlo Maria Martini in Milan was his return to a timely and periodic verification exercise of the configuration of the Church that was emerging. This methodology assumes the spiritual traits of a personal and community examination of conscience and the pastoral traits of the discernment. This article aims to cover the speeches in which Martini performs this task of verification to bring out the essential features of its ecclesiological vision.Una delle caratteristiche del ministero pastorale di Carlo Maria Martini a Milano è stato il suo puntuale ritornare periodico ad un esercizio di verifica del volto di Chiesa che si stava realizzando. Questa metodologia assume i tratti spirituali dell’esame di coscienza comunitario e personale e i tratti pastorali del discernimento. L’articolo intende ripercorrere i discorsi in cui Martini svolge questo compito di verifica per far emergere i tratti fondamentali della sua visione ecclesiologica

In this context, the Cardinal places himself in the precise wake of the Council. The re-reading of his teaching enables to give more content to the indication of Vatican II by defining the method for a real dialogue with the world, clarifying the interlocutor and outlining the primary dimensions of this relationship.Tra le tante definizioni date alla persona e al ministero di Martini una spicca su tutte per unanimità di consensi: «uomo del dialogo». In questo il Cardinale si colloca nella precisa scia del Concilio. La rilettura del suo magistero permette di dare maggior contenuto all’indicazione del Vaticano II definendo il metodo per un vero dialogo con il mondo, chiarificando l’interlocutore e tratteggiando le dimensioni primari di questo rapporto

No full textIn 1938, G. Colombo already professor of literature, is called to the Chair of Spiritual Theology. He is favored by a certain continuity in methodology between the study of literature and spirituality – read as an analysis of the human soul’s life called by the Spirit of Christ and in which the Spirit operates – namely the study of the Christian life. The lessons of Colombo, in fact, always start from the biography and the historical context: this indicates an approach of the historical dimension to a more correct Spiritual Theology. He therefore mitigates the even shared dominant conception of the spiritual life as a pure translation of the dogma. The field chosen is the one of Renais- sance Humanism, to the sources of modernity, characterized by the need for concreteness, whose different interpretations and experiences originate many spiritual currents. The A. sympathizes with the Christian or Devout Humanism, provided «Catholic interpreted», and studies the methoding of prayer, striving to preserve the purity of the life of the spirit. Hence the rise of spiritual Schools: he presents and analyzes them in detail.Nel 1938, G. Colombo, già professore di lettere, è chiamato alla Cattedra di Teologia Spirituale. Lo favorisce una certa continuità metodologica tra studio della letteratura e spiritualità, compresa come analisi della vita dell’animo umano interpellato dallo Spirito di Cristo e in cui lo Spirito opera, cioè studio della vita cristiana vissuta. Le lezioni di Colombo, infatti, partono sempre dalla biografia e dal contesto storico: ciò indica un avvicinamento della dimensione storica per una più corretta Teologia Spirituale. Egli pertanto mitiga la pur condivisa concezione dominante della vita spirituale come pura traduzione del dogma. Il campo prescelto è quello dell’Umanesimo- Rinascimento, alle sorgenti della Modernità, caratterizzata dall’esigenza di concretezza, le cui diverse interpretazioni ed esperienze originano altrettante correnti spirituali. L’A. simpatizza per l’Umanesimo Cristiano o Devoto, purché «cattolicamente interpretato» e studia la metodizzazione della preghiera, tesa a salvaguardare la purezza della vita dello spirito. Di qui il sorgere delle Scuole Spirituali: le presenta, per affrontarle poi analiticamente

No full textThe study of bio-legal reflection wants to examine the «living will» through a dialogue between the anthropological perspective on the human death and the recruitment of legal experience years of USA on this theme. After a first analysis that shows the ineffectiveness and the inappropriateness to use the tools of «living will» as statements of the individualist autonomy of the patient, or as a defense of the health professionalism against interference by family members or relatives to the sick, the author takes the positive development of these legal instruments as a means to promote dialogue and social responsibility around the dying. From here, through the comparison with Italian constitutional heritage and the ongoing debate in our country, it comes to formulate an original proposal
