No full textIn those places where the crisis of a traditional present-day wisdom has invoked the need for a new wisdom regarding that same crisis, discernment seems to have blossomed anew as a promising process towards the creation of new avenues. Listening to the voice of the Spirit in the renewed era has meant recognizing the extenuation of some practices and speech, but also, in the radical call to assume the evernew Gospel message, it has meant accepting the invitation to not settle for living a more or less mythically evoked past, but instead adopting and seeking out new pathways.Laddove la crisi di una sapienza tradizionale corrente ha invocato l’esigenza di una nuova sapienza della crisi stessa, il discernimento sembra essere riaffiorato quale promettente processo verso il sorgere di nuovi cammini. No full text«Also the Gentiles have their prophets». This affirmation, falsely attributed to St Augustine, even though contained in one of his works, has been erroneously quoted by L. Capéran, H. De Lubac and in the first redaction of an Audience of Paul VI. This article reconstructs the transmission of the patristic citation in theological quarters and its exact meaning in relation to Augustine’s thought. This case study allows for some methodological evaluations of a philological, patristic and theological nature on the use of the Church Fathers in theology.«Anche i Gentili hanno i loro profeti». Il Triduo pasquale ambrosiano: prospettive sintetiche
No full textThis article proposes a new reading of the entire Ambrosian Easter Triduum, following some lines that point out the characterizing dimensions of the various celebrations as a whole. The theme of light that overcomes the darkness finds certainly in the repeated «rites of light» its ritual development, but also crosses the scriptural and euchological texts; the eschatological tension inherent,above all, in the Easter Vigil, it is also seized in the celebrations that come before it, since the beginning of the Authentic Week. The comparison with the patristic literature finally offers three perspectives to interpret the Easter’s theology celebrated by ritus et preces in the liturgy of Milan’s Church.L’articolo propone una rilettura dell’intero Triduo pasquale ambrosiano, seguendo le diverse celebrazioni nel loro complesso. Il tema della luce che vince le tenebre trova certamente nei ripetuti «lucernari» il suo sviluppo rituale, ma attraversa anche i testi scritturistici ed eucologici; la tensione escatologica, insita soprattutto nella Veglia pasquale, si coglie parimenti nelle celebrazioni che la precedono, segnalandosi fin dall’inizio della Settimana Autentica. Il confronto con la letteratura patristica offre infine tre prospettive per interpretare la teologia della Pasqua celebrata per ritus et preces nella liturgia della Chiesa milanese
Riforma della curia romana
No full textWe talk for a few years of the Roman Curia’s reform. The worst thing that can be imagined is that this reform will be limited to unification of some department in order to reduce the number of them. This article aims to examine the proposals made at the time of Vatican II. Even then, it was realized that the Curia’s internationalization could only be an illusion. Every authentic reform must include a new balance of authority in the Catholic Church and a renewal of the exercise of papal primacy. This new balance must consider the recognition of the powers of the bishops and of the bishops’ conferences. As for the renewal of the exercise of primacy, it would involve the establishment of a unit that would combine the bishops to the central government of the Church. We must not only revisit the claims for reform at the time of Vatican II, but also initiate some action of reform which favors the decentralizationof power in the Church. It is on this basis that we can advance some proposals for today.Si parla da qualche anno della riforma della curia romana. Il peggio che si possa immaginare è che ci si limiti all’unificazione di qualche dicastero in modo da ridurne il numero. Il presente articolo si propone di esaminare le proposte fatte in occasione del Vaticano II. Già allora, si comprendeva che l’internazionalizzazione della curia non poteva che essere una illusione. Ogni autentica riforma doveva includere un nuovo equilibrio dell’autorità nella Chiesa cattolica e un rinnovamento dell’esercizio del primato papale. Questo nuovo equilibrio doveva tenere conto del riconoscimento dei poteri dei vescovi e delle conferenze episcopali. Quanto al rinnovamento dell’esercizio del primato, doveva implicare la costituzione di un organismo che associasse i vescovi al governo centrale della Chiesa. Non solo occorre rivisitare le affermazioni di riforma avanzate al tempo del Concilio Vaticano II, ma ancheavviare qualche azione riformatrice che favorisca il decentramento del potere nella Chiesa.
