Creation of Java tests and the evaluation by Web
application/pdf論文(Article)Java, which is consolidating its position as a program language to cover itself with IT high technology, is the representative of an object-oriented language. However, Java is difficult to understand the programming paradigm as an object-oriented language, and has distance from the public. Since the object-oriented terms are not unified and the method of a definition changes with books, those who learn about object-orientation will get confused here. Variable Acceptance of Extraction from Wh-islands
application/pdf論文(Article)Properties concerning unbounded dependencies in terms of wh-movement actually vary across languages. Some Slavic languages where the covert instances of wh-movement posited for English are overt show multiple instances of overt phrasal wh-movement to the left periphery of CP or IP and rule out wh-phrases in situ. Some multiple wh-fronting languages allow extraction from wh-islands, in marked contrast to English; other multiple wh-fronting languages do not. This paper argues that the asymmetry follows from the Minimal Link Condition and the specifier requirements of CP in those languages.departmental bulletin pape
Java Programming for Numerical Solution of Nonlinear Diffusion Equation (Dissociative and Kick-out Mechanisms)
application/pdf論文(Article)A Java Programming to solve nonlinear diffusion equation by Crank-Nicolson's implicit and Guss-Seidel's iteration methods is presented. Dependences of the time increment, the criterion in the iteration, and the initial value on the numerical solution have been investigated using the program. The time increment to constrict the calculation decreases with the decrease of the criterion and the initial value. The criterion and the initial values are enough to be used a value less than 10-s and 10-6, respectively, in our case.

Prediction of peptide conformation using a scale-transformed entropic sampling algorithm
application/pdf論文(Article)A scale-transformed entropy sampling algorithm for searching a conformational energy space of polypeptides is presented. This algorithm is based on the assumption that high energy barriers can be overcome by a uniform sampling of the logarithmically transformed energy space. This algorithm is tested with Met-enkephalin, a peptide with a known global minimum structure. Using a new Monte Carlo sampling method, energy barriers of 3000 kcal/mol are frequently overcome and, therefore, many minima are searched more efficiently than with the usual entropy sampling simulations. This method can be utilized as the optimization algorithm. The global minimum conformations obtained in optimizations agree well with those obtained by the simulated annealing (SA) method and by the systematic stepsize variation (SSV) method. A Consideration for the spraying process in forming of a superconducting film
application/pdf論文(Article)Spraying aqua-solution of mixed Y-, Ba-, Cu-nitrates onto a YSZ substrate is a well known method for forming a superconducting thick film. In this paper, we will clear the reasons for adopting spray-method instead of usual dip-coating, and discuss about the appropriate range of the substrate temperature Ts during spraying, and the temperature necessary for evaporating crystal water in nitrates by means of an observation of the behavior of a nitrate pellet under increasing heat power. Also, we discuss the reason why the compositional ratio of Y, Ba and Cu metals deviates from 1 : 2 : 3 for very high spraying temperature Ts. Low solubility of Ba nitratus causes its precipitation and dropping out from flying particles under strong heat radiation from the substrate.departmental bulletin pape
Inversion in Interim Grammars
application/pdf論文(Article)The aim this paper is to provide a straightforw叫and unified account for Subject-AUX inversion (SAI)in interrogatives and interrogative patterns which vary across the range of possible interim grammars by making use of Optimality Theoretic constraints. The constraints include the restriction on clause type, wh-operator, economy of representation, feature specification, head, and traces. The proposed hypothesis is that in Standard English, the constraints are stratified in the order enumerated. Thus the optimal representation of an interrogative in Standard English, whether it be a yes-no question or a wh-question, is the one that best satisfies the stratified constraints. Demonstrating that systematic failure of SAI in embedded questions of Standard English is also explained as a consequence of the interactions of the constraints, this paper 紅gues that sporadic or systematic occurrence of SAI in embedded contexts of interim grammars of English immediately follows from the difference of the same set of constraints.departmental bulletin pape
46 months Generation of Electricity with 4 kW Photovoltaic Power Generation System
application/pdf論文(Article)During the past few years the nationwide monitoring project of residential photovoltaic power generation system has been spread throughout the country. These are very nice to defend the earth from environmental pollution. During 46 months generation of electricity with 4 kW photovoltaic power generation system of the author was measured and confirmed the practicality. The system was helped by the national monitoring project in 1997. And the report about the PY-system was scribed in this paper. 15,346 [kWh] of electric energy were supplied from solar energy from January 1997 to October 2000. The electric energy was self-supported from the PY-system. The value of PY-power / global solar radiation of the system was about 0.86 [kWh / MJm·2]. That is the calculated average value of several years. But when the value was necessary to estimate the PY-system by the data in a short period, the value can be approximately express by the data in late March or in late September.departmental bulletin pape
Yeats'Coole Park
application/pdf論文(Article)W. B. Yeats was born on 13 June, 1865 in Sandymount, Dublin, Ireland, to the portrait-painter John Butler Yeats and Susan Mary Yeats (nee Pollexfen). Although Yeats lived much of his adult life in the cities of Dublin and London, the rural west of Ireland was crucial to him as a poet. His imagination ranged widely over Ireland in the course of his creative life. Three places, in particular, came to dominate the poet's mind: Sligo in his twenties and thirties, Coole Park in Galway in his late thirties and forties, and Thoor Ballylee in his fifties and sixties. It is not too much to say that Coole Park functioned as the source and the location of Irish literature, as a sense of ethnic identity, and as the intellectual and imaginative centre for three decades from the tum of the century not only to Yeats but also to many others. Non-destructive evaluation of formability in thin steel sheets using SH₀-mode plate wave by EMAT
application/pdf論文(Article)We evaluated the relation between the Lankford value (r-value) and the velocity of cold rolled steel sheets using the fundamental shear horizontal plate wave (SH₀-mode plate wave) and the fundamental symmetrical Lamb wave (S₀-mode Lamb wave) as a function of the propagation angle. The SH₀-mode plate wave at the traveling angle of 45° showed the opposite tendency compared with that of other traveling angles or other ultrasonic modes. Using the velocity equations derived by accounting for texture and cubic crystal anisotropy, we found that the velocity at 45° was strongly in fluenced by the {100} crystallographic plane compared with that of other ultrasonic conditions.
Next, the measurernent accuracy for the formability of cold rolled steel sheets using the S₀-mode Lamb wave and the SH₀-mode plate wave was estimated to find that the evaluation accuracy using the SH₀-mode plate wave became poor as compared with the case of the S₀-mode Lamb wave. For this, the effect of the ultrasonic velocity anisotropy to the propagation direction was the main cause, because the anisotropy of the SH₀-mode plate wave was bigger than that of the S₀-mode Lamb wave. Finally, we confirmed that the evaluation precision could be improved by using the SH₀-mode EMAT with a narrow-width sensor coil to transmit and receive the sharp ultrasonic beam.departmental bulletin pape
New measurement for small color difference in vision
application/pdf論文(Article)There was an experiment for employees in Japanese public facilities to experience an aged person's life. For the aged person's life simulation, shackle-like binders restrained their movement and special glasses simulated visual constraints of the aged person. Limiting speculation in the color vision, their glasses were colored yellow. However, the author never heard it claimed that an aged person observed everything yellowish. In 1998, J. S. Werner, a professor at the University of Colorado, reported no difference in color vision among from 13 years old to 72 years old. The color vision for an aged person must be measured correctly and precisely. This report concerns the new color visual measurement. Color grating under the same luminance is presented on a liquid crystal display of a laptop computer. Further, the JAVA word program controls the measurement procedure.
