Grandfather's curse on Father seemed to be realized. Mother was also involved in Father's tragic death. The damaged conjugal relationship might bring about the fatal cardiac stroke. After Father's death Mother decided to return with her three children to Vienna, Austria: her second home.
On their way to Vienna Mother taught Canetti German language excessively. Learning German language meant Canetti's rebirth in double meanings. It laid the foundation of his becoming a writer who wrote his works throughout his life in German language. And Mother's lecture on German literary works and reading them together with Mother enabled Canetti to acquire Mother's cultural, spiritual strength directly. For Mother it was an effort to recover from her pain of her losing the partner with whom she spoke in German language.
Though young but being both a strong character and an enthusiastic literary reader and listener, Canetti gained her favor and they spent perfect and full evenings reading literary works by themselves. However, close scrutiny of synchronic variations of Locative Inversion constructions makes an unaccusative analysis of it untenable and yields an empirically necessary constraint, which requires that an element which is informationally less familiar information in context appear in the right edge of sentence. The aim of this paper is to provide a straightforward and unified account for Locative Inversion by making use of the constraint and other well-established Optimality Theoretic constraints concerning Case, head, trace, and feature specification. The proposed hypothesis is that the constraints are stratified in the order enumerated and thus the optimal representation of Locative Inversion constructions is the one that best satisfies the stratified constraints.departmental bulletin pape
Luminance Matching of Flicker Method for Different Colors on a Liquid Crystal Display observed by Monocular and Binocular

Same color but different luminance lights are easily discriminated. However, for diffient colors the lights are difficult to discriminate. For this settlement of difficulty, the flicker method has been used. A special shutter is used in previous flicker method. On a half side of the shutter (which is a circular disc), a mirror is set, and a half of the disc is made as transparent. However, this special shutter is difficult to obtain.

The assignment of the fundamental vibrational frequencies for 4-cyanopyridine was reinvestigated through the study of the depolarization behaviors of the Raman bands, the study of the polarized Raman and infrared spectra of the single crystal, and also through the ab initio calculations at the 6-31 G level. The assignment of the fundamental vibrational frequencies for benzonitrile was also reinvestigated through the depolarization behaviors of the Raman bands and infrared spectrum, and also through the ab initio calculations.
All the vibrational bands for 4-cyanopyridine and benzonitrile were correctly assigned in this paper. The Web3D consortium created VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) as an international standard for the interactive 3D media for the WWW. This paper proposes a new 3D-map-based navigation interface for the virtual environment, and has implemented it as the N訳JA system with the VRML. A virtual environment and 3D map are separately displayed in the same window to avoid the obstacle problem and implementation difficulties. An avatar movement in the 3D map is mutually linked with the user's movement in several manners from which users can freely select according to the situation. The files of 3D map interface are completely separated from the files of virtual worlds. There are much industrial waste which can be recycled. However, the problem is that the cost to do so is high.
All beer manufacturers came out with ways to completely get rid of their waste from the factries. There are recyling beer lees, and labels and caps of bottles. Moreover, they are now aiming to come up with even better recycling techniqe to produce better resource. It is necessary for the beer manufacturers to improve the corporate image because there is a keen competition in the market. It seems that they brought the recycling into action as a way to accompish the purpose.

Shielding Current Front in a Superconducting Plate under a Perpendicular Magnetic Field
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)When uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicularly to flat surfaces of a superconducting plate, currents are induced in the plate ends and surfaces, so as to shield its interior region from flux penetration. Forms of flux front and also current front are not simple, and difficult to be determined precisely. In order to clear the relation between the external magnetic field and the position of the current front, magnetic shielding conditions are expressed by using uniform current distribution for a hexagonal form of the current front having two parameters, which are determined from two shielding conditions, one is vanishing of field at the center, the other is the second derivative of the field variation set to zero. Using analytical expressions corresponding to shielding conditions, we get reasonable results for the field dependence of the front position, and the field distribution on the center axis of the plate. Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)Elias Canetti's so-called autobiographical triology, "The Tongue Set Free", "The Torch in My Ear" and "The Play of the Eyes" were written in his late sixties and early seventies. "The Tongue Set Free" -the frrst of the trio logy- deals with the period spanning from his birth to his adolescence of sixteen years old.
Apparently Canetti's linguistic environment is quite different from those of other literature writers. Though he selected German language to write his whole literary works and critics throughout his life, German language is not his "mother tongue" in the usual terms at all. He didn't acquire German language naturally in his mother's bosom as an infant. Rather his mother forced him to learn and master the language as his second or third language when he was eight after his father's sudden death. So German language is associated with his mother in the dual terms of meaning. To Canetti German language is not only the language in which he learned at school in Vienna, Austria but the one which served to connect Canetti with his mother's rich cultural life. Reading literature works written in German language with his mother and sharing literary interest between themselves facilitates Canetti to become one of the writers and poets who intentionally and selectively use German language to write.
The powerful dual link between Canetti and his mother in the language and literature continues through his entire literary life to form dramatic love-hate relationship which is beyond our imagination.
