Proposal and trial production of an input tool for Japanese handwriting for educational PC introduction in the lower grades of elementary schools
Get PDF論文(Article)This paper proposes an educational tool of Japanese handwriting input for PC (Personal Computer) use in the lower grades without producing a bad effect on children's writing skill. It is pointed out often an evil influence upon keeping handwriting skill of Japanese, especially Kanji, caused by the ordinary typing input using keyboards. Accordingly we encourage use of handwriting input by character recognition technology at the lower grades that have just begun to learn to write Kanji. However, children do not have to write every character carefully if using the previous recognition system that can recognize accurately most of badly-written hands, even scribbled characters. Therefore we distinguish a new system by a restriction to clear and beautiful hands, only well-proportioned and correctlystroked, and bad hands would be pointed out where should be improved. Finally, our study obtained a good result of the questionnaire that elementary school teachers answered that they found significance in our system.departmental bulletin pape
Distribution of Vector Potential in a Superconducting Plate under a Perpendicular Magnetic Field
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)A shielded region in a superconducting plate under a perpendicular magnetic field is surrounded by two regions of current flowing in opposite directions each other. This front configuration can be well approximated by a curve similar to a parabola, but having a power of the nth order. In this study, vector potentials produced by these currents are calculated in the space including the superconducting plate. The equipotential value gives a visual determination of the flux line distribution, from which we can estimate a shielding effect near or inside the current front. For example, adopting appropriate parameters of the nth power curve, we can find a flux line flowing very closely to the front curve. The potential value corresponding with the flux line is about 0.1 % of the external filed potential. Distribution of the potential inside the shielded regions is then examined precisely. As a result, it is found that any shielded potential inside the front curve can be suppressed to below 0.1 % of the external filed potential.departmental bulletin pape

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the mesothelioma due to the asbestos will appear between 30 and 40 years after breathing it in, and this disease is one of the major problem in the society. On our campus, for example, it is possible that the minute quantity of chemicals used in the laboratories and other facilities evaporate and disperse through the air. The existence of this evaporation and the diffusion of the chemicals can be easily proved by simple observation whether the buildings and the equipments have suffered corrosion or not. In this study, the corrosion has clearly been observed, and is attributed to the post-processing of the equipments, the failure of the draft chambers and the piping systems. Since the corrosion has been found to have occurred, it is suggested that there is a possibility of the Articles 1 and 3 of the labor security and hygiene law becoming involved. Development of a system to measure the tilt angle of a rigid body using the differential filter
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)The purpose of the present study is to construct a system to measure the tilt angle of a robot. The measured object is a rotary joint type arm with a fulcrum, which can move in one direction. This system consists of a gyroscope sensor and two accelerometers. The gyroscope sensor measures the angular velocity of the arm and accelerometers measure the acceleration in the direction of the long axis of the arm and in its perpendicular direction, respectively. The angular acceleration is estimated as the differential value of the angular velocity by a special dynamic system. This system can calculate the angular acceleration accurately, because it is little influenced by noises. The tilt angle of the object is calculated from these values. The measurement system needs no structure, such as a sensing rod, in order to recognize the vertical axis, because the direction of gravity is used as the vertical axis. Furthermore, the proposed system is applicable to objects whose dynamic characteristics cannot be completely known. Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)This treatise is a review of the Japanese Supreme Court's judgment of Novcmbcr7, 2003, in a case involving the disclosure obligation of financial institution employees when their banking estab lishment makes an offer to sell residential land with an ulterior motive of hoping to provide a loan to the buyer. This judgment admits there may be extenuating circumstances in specific cases and does not establish a definitive criterion for judgments on disclosure obligation, but it does establish a precedent considering that there is no clear standard for banking employee accountability. Nonetheless, this author cannot support the Supreme Court's conclusion: While it is possible to think of the High Court's reasoning in this case being based on the fact that the purchase contract and the financing con tract being one and the same document, the Supreme Court perceived that the purchase contract and fi nancing contract are basically separate contracts that make a distinction between the parties. When purchasing and financing coincide, it is important that the document be appropriate for the established purpose from the perspective of both parties. In this sitnation, the impropriety of the act of solicitation itself is not that important. In this aspect, this treatise supports the gist of the high court's judgment.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)A practical magnetic measurement system for use in the research of Goss-oriented silicon-iron sheet, which is built compactly based on the interconnection of digitizing oscilloscope with personal computer, is prcsented. In this system, it was intended to expand the frequency range of power loss measurement down to 10 Hz keeping a good accuracy for the purpose of separating the hysteresis loss and eddy current loss, because this is necessary in researching low core loss materials. The point especially paid attention to for this purpose was the phase and amplitude errors of the integrating circuit which is used both for B-coil and H-coil outputs. It was shown that required measuring accuracy can be kept in the frequency range 10-500 Hz by adopting a suitable integrating circuit and by optimizing the circuit parameters.departmental bulletin pape
