Optimization of Network Connections by Genetic Algorithm
application/pdf論文(Article)The optimum connection of networks under a certain conditions is investigated by using the genetic algorithm. The condition employed by Hiroyasu and Suzuki in an analysis of a complex network is to minimize the average distance of the shortest path between every two nodes, by fixing the number of all links. However this condition does not guarantee the minimum cost. Instead we propose alternative conditions to minimize the following two factors: (1) construction cost of links; (2) average distance of the shortest path between every two nodes. In obtaining the shortest path we use the method proposed by Dijkstra. Optimization is performed for the case of 50 nodes, which are randomly located in some closed area, by changing the weighting factor between the above two conditions. As a result, the relation of the average distance versus the construction cost is obtained. Such computations are performed within three hours by using a conventional personal computer.departmental bulletin pape
Boundary and Initial Conditions and Constants in the Numerical Calculation of Au Diffusion in Si Affected by Point Defects
application/pdf論文(Article)In numerical calculations of the impurity diffusion affected by point defects, one uses many uncertain constants such as thermal equilibrium concentrations and diffusion constants of vacancies and selfinterstitials. Initial concentrations of substitutional and interstitial impurities are unknown in indiffusion process in addition to above constants. Author has used tentative constants and initial values in previous calculations; for example, initial concentrations multiplied thermal equiribrium values by 10⁻⁵ in indiffusion process. In this paper,a method to provide constants and initial and boundary conditions in the numerical calculation of Au diffusion in Si affected by vacancies and self-interstitials is proposed.departmental bulletin pape
Symmetry and Period Doubling in Area-Preserving Map of the Sphere
application/pdf論文(Article)Previously, We have studied some dynamics that lead to the reversible area-preserving map of a sphere onto itself. In this paper the problem of the period doubling in symmetric, area-preserving map is investigated. Our interest is mainly in generalized symmetry properties of the map. We will rebuild dynamical systems theory from the ground up in the symmetry context, so it is hoped that if there are new phenomena that occur in the dynamics of the symmetric map, such phenomena will be visible. Nature of the symmetry can be stated succinctly as: the map is the product of two involutions. Note also that the map is Z₂-equivariant, where Z₂ is the cyclic group of order 2 with action(x,y,z)→(x,-y,-z).departmental bulletin pape
Study on Regionally Recycling-Oriented Social System -Case of Study: TAKANEZAWA-Machi, TOCHIGI Pref.-
application/pdf論文(Article)Takanezawa-machi is located 12 km northeast from Utsunomiya-city, the seat of Tochigi prefectural government. Takanezawa-machi has flourishing agriculture and a few R&D companies are located in its area. In order to build a Regionally Sustainable Development Society, the concept of Recycling-Oriented Society should be carefully examined to see if such a society is truly able to realize its sustainable development. Taking the case of Takanezawa-machi, as a case of study, this paper discusses the Regionally Recycling-Oriented Social System from the viewpoint of regional characteristics. Takanezawa-machi attacks and forms a recycling-oriented agriculture by making effective use of Biomass, e.g., food waste, cow dung, and other waste pollutions produced in its area. Challenge of Takanezawa-machi looks promising; it should offer examples to other local governments that have similar socio-economical characteristics.02876620departmental bulletin pape
Developments in Internet Banking and Topics for the Future
application/pdf論文(Article)Internet banking is required to secure and enrich the convenience of such transactions while attempting to ensure their safety. Therefore, the transaction format known as Internet banking itself becomes difficult to be supported if abuse cannot be avoided, despite the mutual vigilance of financial institutions and the implementation of system constraints that, unlike face-to-face transactions, require confirmation of the identity of the depositor via methods such as Personal Identification Numbers(PINs). However, there is a limit to how well problems involving deposit transactions can be handled based on interpretation of the Article 478 of the Japan’s Civil Code. One indicates an important topic for the future discussions connected to the necessity of resolving such problems through legislation, by focusing on the Depositor Protection Act and other laws and regulations, by giving full consideration to strategies for depositor prevention from being victimized, and by assuring the epositor protection in general.departmental bulletin pape
Camera-Position Estimation for Cubic Panorama Systems
application/pdf論文(Article)We have developed and published on the Web the “FIT panorama system” .It is a virtual campus that consists o fVRML-based cubic panoramas and Flash-based electric maps. Several camera positions corresponding to each panorama are usually marked on the maps by some means or other. This paper proposes a method that estimates the camera position of a certain panorama from both the panoramic photograph and the map which includes the camera position and the objects in the photograph. A tool is also developed that allows the user to estimate the camera position only by clicking the corresponding points on the panorama and the map. Experiments examine the precision of the proposed estimation method and show the usefulness.departmental bulletin pape
Influence of the Oxygen Content in Flowing Nitrogen Gas on the Boron Diffusion into Silicon Using BN Wafer, the Solid-State Diffusion Source
application/pdf論文(Article)The effect of the oxygen gas content included in a flowing nitrogen gas ambient on the boron diffusivity is studied for the boron diffusion into silicon at 1050°C using boron nitride (BN) as the solid-state diffusion source. When the oxygen content is higher than about 4%, total amount of diffused-in boron concentration is found to decrease, resulting in higher sheet resistivity and smaller junction depth. In order to obtain high concentration- and reproducible boron diffusion, it is suggested that the oxygen gas content in a flowing nitrogen gas ambient should be kept lower than 4%.02876620departmental bulletin pape
