On the Features of the Extended Projection Principle
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)The Extended Projection Principle (EPP) essentially operates in the syntax. In the recent framework of the minimalist syntax, the EPP is treated as a feature requiring an overt element in the Spec position of a projection. This paper proposes two types of EPP-feature. One is a feature requiring an overt element in the Spec position of a functional projection and the other is a feature requiring an overt element in the head position of a functional projection. The different specification of tbe two types EPP-features provides a systematic account for the cross-linguistic variation concerning interrogative C, distribution of a complementizer, (un-) availability of the complementizer that in an embedded clause, and diachronic change concerning it.departmental bulletin pape
Facile and Rapid Method for Liquid/solid Separation of Shochu Sludge Waste
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)To establish the facile solid-liquid separation method, Mugi-shochu sludge waste obtained from HIKARI-SHUZO CO.Ltd.is used. The sludge waste is centrifuged at 2,000 g. Obtained supernatant is not clear and the transmittance of the supernatant was below 1%at 600 nm. The obtained supernatant is treated with several kinds of filter aids. A white carbon filter aid#80 produced from silicone dioxide is most effective in subsequent centrifugal separation. On the other hand, a filter aid B-419 produced from perlite (an amorphous volcanic glass) was the most effective aid for filtration. Amount of the clear filtrate is 70% of the starting weight and the dry weight of the precipitates at the first centrifugal step is about 6%. NMR Study of Spin State in Geometrically Frustrated Compound Co₂Cl(OH)₃
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)NMR studies are carried out at low temperature on ⁵⁹Co and ¹H nuclei of geometrically frustrated system Co₂Cl(OH)₃. Long range ordered ferromagnetic moments on triangular lattice plane coexist microscopically with disordered moments on kagome lattice plane whose moment direction is not ordered. Although the disordered moments freeze within the NMR observation time, 10⁻⁴s,at low temperature, the frozen moments begin to fluctuate with increasing temperature. Up to 4.2K (0.4Tc),the magnitude of the ferromagnetically ordered moments is independent of temperature.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra of azine compounds, uracil, phthalazone, 2,3-dihydroxyquinoxaline and phthalic hydrazide in Ag colloidal solution are observed. Energies corre-sponding to models for the molecules adsorbed on the Ag colloidal particles are calculated. Stabilization energies show that these molecules are indeed adsorbed on the Ag colloidal surfaces. Diluted solutions of these molecules are added to the Ag colloidal solution, and it is examined to what extent of dilution the Raman bands can be observed. It is experimentally clarified that the azine compounds can be detected in such dilute solutions at concentrations of about2×10‐⁶mol/l, by observing the Raman bands of SERS spectra using Ag colloidal solution.departmental bulletin pape
Magnetic Structure of Geometrically Frustrated Compound Co₂Cl(OH)₃ Determined by Proton NMR
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)The magnetic structure of geometrically frustrated system Co₂Cl(OH)₃ is determined by comparison with the observed proton NMR spectrum and the numerical calculated ones of various magnetic models. The best fit model structure is that the magnetic moments in the triangular plane are parallel to the principal axis of local crystal field, and the magnetic moments in the kagome lattice plane are random disorder in a-b plane, of which angle is almost intermediate between the principal axis of local field and the direction to body center in the tetrahedra lattice. The coexistence of ferromagnetic order moments in the triangular plane and the random disorder moments in the kagome plane is consistent with the results of other measurements by Zheng et al. However, the directions of magnetic moments in both triangular and kagome plane are not the directions to the body center of tetrahedron as characteristic in "spin ice" magnetic structure. Our result suggests that the transition metal compound Co₂Cl(OH)₃ is different from the "spin ice" in magnetic structure, although it is similar to rare earth pyrochlores in crystal structure.departmental bulletin pape
Enlargement of Digital Photograph by Spline Interpolation
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)A spline interpolation method is applied to enlargement of digital photographs. The conventional method of the linear interpolation is useful at least for several times enlargements. In larger scale enlargements, however, a smooth image cannot be expected by the linear interpolation. In this paper, the natural cubic spline functions are employed with an ingenuous algorism based on the LU factorization for tridiagonal matrices. An eight times enlarged photograph obtained by the spline method is compared with that provided by the linear method and one observes that the former image has better quality than the latter one. It is expected that such advantage of the spline method becomes more illustrative in the case of larger scale enlargements.departmental bulletin pape
Effect of the Aspect Ratio of a Superconducting Tape on the AC Loss in Perpendicular External Magnetic Field
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)Recently, intensive efforts to decrease the width of the high-Tc cuprate superconducting tape for the coated conductors have been made for decreasing the AC loss . It has been found experimentally that the AC loss of the former type of superconducting tape, with the width extremely larger than the thickness, can be described well by the theoretical expression for the superconducting thin strip with the infinite width proposed by Brandt and Indenbom. However, the AC loss in the recent types of tapes, with a much narrower width, is expected to show a noticeable deviation from their expression. In this paper, based on the critical state model, a theoretical expression for the dependence of the AC loss on the aspect ratio in the cross section of the superconducting tape is proposed. Effect of the magnetic-flux-density dependence of the critical current density on the AC loss is also discussed.departmental bulletin pape
The Steric Effect of Alkyl Group on The Biodegradation of Alkylphenol Polyethoxylate
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)AP3EOs (alkylphenol triethoxylates) having various alkyl groups at the para position of the triethylene glycol side chain are prepared. The AP3EOs are fed with three strains of Pseudomonas putida as a sole carbon source. All strains of Pseudomonas putida decompose the AP3EOs and accumulate the corresponding AP2EOs (alkylphenol diethoxylates) quantitatively when the alkyl group is tert-butyl group. When AP3EOs with small alkyl groups (R＝H, methyl, ethyl) are fed, they decomposed the AP3EOs and left the AP2EO, AP1EO (alkylphenol monoethoxylates), and the corresponding carboxylic acids in the culture medium. These results indicate that the biodegradation of alkylphenol polyethoxylate is affected by the steric size of the alkyl group at the para position of the aromatic ring.departmental bulletin pape
