The Doppler Shift Compensation System for 5.8GHz Band
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)We have developed a 10cm cubesat, FITSAT-1, which was deployed from ISS on 5th October 2012 and decayed on 4th July 2013. The main mission of the FITSAT-1 is to demonstrate a high speed transmitter module developed by our group. It could send VGA (640x480pix) resolution jpeg image data at 115.2kbps FSK in 2 to 6 seconds using 5.84 GHz ham band. The frequency shift by Doppler is almost plus or minus 150 kHz at 5.84 GHz. It is not easy to adjust the receiving frequency by manually. So we developed a software mechanism of automatic tuning system which compensates Doppler shift.departmental bulletin pape

Study on Willingness to Pay for Environmental Tax for Specific Purpose and Social Capital : Based on an Internet Survey
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)Using a binary probit model, we analyze the factors influencing people’s attitudes towards paying environmental tax. Results show that age, household income of over 10 million yen, and social capital variables (a sense of neighborhood community, citizenship status,and desire for a stable lifestyle) are significant predictors of willingness to pay for environmental tax. They also suggest that global as well as local activities are essential for environmental protection.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)The collection efficiency of the plastic Fresnel lens to an optical fiber was evaluated in the experiment and calculation as a key component for a device that can be used with a high efficiency of direct sunlight. As a result, we found that the chromatic aberration of the lens does not cause a large decrease in the efficiency, and the unique groove structure of the Fresnel lens must be evaluated fully in the selection process.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)The purpose of this study is to survey learning context at Elementary Mathematic Practice A in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Elementary Mathematic Practice A is a required course which includes trigonometric function and complex number on a high school level. The content of the lecture provides basic knowledge for understanding specialized courses. However,the numbers of students who have limited insight into the content have been increasing. This is partly because many students have little study habits. The students take mini-exam and evaluate their studying context by themselves at every lecture. Analysis of the self-evaluations and mini-exam results shows that there are gaps in perception between their real academic abilities and self-assumptive academic abilities. We think the gaps would prevent the students from studying continuously.departmental bulletin pape

Against Proposed Active Euthanasia Legislation in France
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)This paper aims to observe and analyze the au courant legislative scene in the French Senate. Legalization advocates argue that individual self-determination and the well-being of seriously ill people justify permitting active euthanasia and assisted suicide (AE & AS). Legalization opponents argue that differences in intent, causation, and act versus omission furnish compelling moral grounds for retaining legal rules against AE & AS. Opponents also stress several potential negative consequences of legalization i.e.so-called “slippery slope” problems. In considering the justifications for laws prohibiting AE & AS, judge-made laws have discussed national interests in protesting life and preventing suicide. From our observations so far,it doesn’t seem that their accounts are not persuasive and they support too much national control over individual freedom.departmental bulletin pape
