Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)France’s Parliament are debating a bill allowing patients at the end of their life or on the verge of death to enter a “deep sleep” right through to the moment they die, id est, to request to start sedation that is deep and continues until death. What is a differ-rence between terminal sedation and voluntary euthanasia? We know that meaningful ethical and legal differences may exist between intended and unintended consequences of them and that the double effect might be a useful conception even if some have argued against its moral importance. The ethical and legal debate about hastening death for terminally ill patients may also focus upon the extension of them to persons who are not near to death, here lies the slippery slope, rather than upon often meaningless and subtle moral distinctions between intent and outcome or between slow and fast euthanasia.departmental bulletin pape
Structure, Functions and Operations of CubeSat FITSAT-1 (NIWAKA)
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)FITSAT-1 was deployed on 5th Oct. 2012 from ISS and it went around the earth 9 months, and decayed on 4th July 2013. The main mission of FITSAT-1 is actual proof experiments which perform 115.2 kbps high-speed communication with 5.8 GHz microwave. Each Jpeg-VGA picture taken at the time of deployment was received from 2 to 6 seconds. The 2nd mission is the experiment which shines a satellite by LED and investigates the possibility of the visible light communications between a satellite and the ground. The first light from the satellite was pictured in Kurashiki and the Seoul South Korea. In the following experiments, many pictures were taken in Ebina, Toyama, Kimizu, and Ehime Japan. Our FITSAT-team succeeded in extraction of a light signal using the photo-multiplier attached to the telescope. EPP-feature and Head Movement
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)The Extended Projection Principle (EPP) essentially operates in the syntax. In Chomsky(2000, 2001), the EPP is modified as part of feature checking machinery and is treated as a feature requiring an overt element in the Spec position of a projection. In addition to this EPP-feature, this paper proposes a new type of EPP-feature. The EPP-feature requires an overt element in the head position of a functional projection. If, however, universal constraints are subject to［±EPP］specification by individual grammars,the different specification provides a theory of language typology. The interaction of EPP-feature specification and the notion of feature percolation can serve to provide a straightforward account of a set of puzzles concerning the distinctive patterns of wh-movement and head movement.departmental bulletin pape
