Get PDF論文(Article)In the Minimalist Program of generative grammar, syntactic computation is performed by extracting lexical items from the lexicon and calculating them through external or internal merge in the workspace of Narrow Syntax. This paper proposes that lexical items consist of two kinds of features: syntactic feature and semantic feature. Syntactic structures created by computation in the pluralized workspaces are transferred to Externalized Syntax (ES), a grammatical level where movement and word order determination are applied. The transferred structures, consisting of syntactic features and semantic features, undergo association with phonological features in the rule component of Broca’s area, leading to their phonetic realization. The association between the semantic feature of a word and a phonological feature can be blocked due to feature hierarchy. The lower-ranked semantic feature cannot be associated with a phonological feature over the head of the higher-ranked semantic features. The complementizer “that,” which is employed only as a pure subordinator, can be deleted. This deletion is a product of the late 16th century. This is because the semantic feature of a pure subordinator [propositional] was demoted down to the lowest tier in the feature hierarchy then, thus resulting in the demise of the phonetic realization of the complementizer “that” as a pure subordinator.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF論文(Article)This study aims to organize perspectives for curriculum development to achieve the stepwise acquisition of competencies in the Period for Integrated Studies. The curriculum guidelines for the Period for Integrated Studies present three main competencies to be acquired with uniform wording, but differences exist in the issues to be explored and their implementation methods. By comparing these differences across school levels, the study identified three perspectives: competencies to be acquired, exploration tasks, and system development. Specifically, the competencies perspective revealed the need for conceptual organization, the exploration tasks perspective highlighted the necessity of cumulative curricula, and the system development perspective emphasized the need for efforts to master the exploratory learning process. This study suggests directions for curriculum development from these perspectives, providing guidelines to enhance the quality of education in the Period for Integrated Studies.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Atticle)In this study, a novel air-insulation relay with high withstand voltage characteristics is suggested for non-thermal food processing systems utilizing underwater shockwaves. By filling the underwater bowl with air, insulation is achieved by the proposed relay.The relay is turned on by controlling an electromagnet to rotate the bowl. In contrast to conventional air-insulation relays, the proposed technique allows for the low-cost realization of non-thermal food processing and the suppression of energy loss caused by arc discharge, because there is no need for costly relays with high withstand voltage characteristics. Laboratory experiments using a prototype have revealed the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed relay. In the experiment, the output current of the proposed technique is 2.2 kA higher than conventional techniques. The results of the experiment indicate that the proposed method is capable of delivering an efficient food processing at a low cost.departmental bulletin pape

They also focused on various themes, including the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), zerotrust,and the notification scheme in the Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act (CIRCIA). These initiatives were responses to major security incidents, such as the Colonial Pipeline breach and the Log4j vulnerability incident.

Get PDFapplicationIn higher education, in their first year, students adapt to their new learning environment and develop academic and personal growth for their future career. This content varies widely among educational institutions, necessitating a thorough examination of educational effectiveness through diverse perspectives. In 2023, Fukuoka Institute of Technology devised a new curriculum that incorporated the courses “Career Design” and “Communication Design” in the first and second semesters, respectively.This study measures the effectiveness of early education in interdisciplinary collaboration. An online survey conducted in May and July 2023 and January 2024 received replies from 989, 877 and 750 participants. This survey investigated the impact of changes in attitudes toward life design through multiple comparisons. Significant differences in scores for life compass, design thinking, and design tools across responses indicated the effectiveness of interdisciplinary collaboration.
