application/pdf論文(Article)Recently, the number of students who read the newspaper has been decreasing even though an increasing number of students access online news obtained through major research engines. With reference to newspapers in education, research on the use of electronic newspapers in order to adapt to the present situation is necessary. In the present paper, users’ perception and evaluation of articles in community-based electronic newspapers is examined. An online questionnaire survey was conducted for the users of KAHOKU Shimpo, which has a regional community in the area of Tohoku in Japan. Results showed that there are common criteria for users to evaluate articles of both online and paper. The result of users’ evaluation of top-shared articles indicated that users’ evaluations are not necessarily correspond to the general result of “share” by means of online communication.othe

The in vitro and vivo evaluation of products so called ‘enzyme-foods’

application/pdf論文(Article)The enzyme-food contained abundant functional ingredients, i.e., polyphenols, dietary fiber, and indigestible dextrin. The enzyme-food indicated high antioxidant activity and suppression of AGE (glycated protein) formation, which is thought to be responsible for the pathogenesis of various lifestyle diseases. The feeding of enzyme-food in rats suggested that the possibilities of body fat reduction, improvement of bowel movements, and improvement of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. So the products commonly called ‘enzyme-foods’ may be beneficial for health maintenance because of functional ingredients, not food-enzyme, contained in them.othe

Characteristics of activated carbon derived shochu waste by KOH activation and application to electric double-layer capacitors

application/pdf論文(Article)In this study, activated carbons were made from shochu waste for electrode materials of electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC). This paper was reported characteristics of shochu waste, activated carbon derived shochu waste and electrochemical analysis of the electrode of EDLC. The data indicated that the specific capacitance of the activated carbon used in the EDLC was increased by partial temperature-elevation activation.departmental bulletin pape

A Review of Literature on Human Resource Management in Corporate Branding : Focus on Psychological Mechanisms of Customer Contact Employees

    Get PDF
application/pdf論文(Article)This paper explores ways to manage and develop customer contact employees in the service economy. A review of research on brand marketing as well as that on organizational psychology and the identity theory indicated that a corporate brand might be able to attract and orient customer contact employees to their organization. Further, certain processes at work enable individuals to incorporate elements of their organizational identity into their collective self. The mechanism of these processes can be explained by social identity, self-categorization, and self-regulation theories. Finally, the importance of human development programs for customer contact employees has been discussed.departmental bulletin pape

Graphene growth on the buffer layer of SiC(0001) by molecular beam epitaxy

application/pdf論文(Article)To achieve the high quality graphene by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), we previously obtained the suggestions that appropriate interaction between growth material and substrate is needed for the epitaxial growth of the graphene although inert surface is favorable for the substrates. Thus, we investigated MBE growth of graphene on the buffer layer (SiC(0001) 6√3x6√3R30°), whose atomic arrangement is the same as the graphene although its interaction is expected to be stronger than that of graphene because some carbon atoms of the buffer layer bond with underlying Si atoms and form electric dipoles by the charge inhomogeneity. Then, we achieved the epitaxial growth of graphene and the mobility value of 194cm2/V•s was obtained. This value is the highest value for the MBE-grown graphene.departmental bulletin pape

Study on the Vibration Simulator Considering Internal Friction in Manganese-Base Alloys

    Get PDF
application/pdf論文(Article)Accurate estimation method of the vibration response for a mechanical system using Molecular dynamics method (MD) is considered. This study focuses on the MD modeling for estimating energy dissipation in Manganese-based alloys under vibration. The phenomenon of energy dissipation in metal is caused by internal friction. In manganese-based alloys such as M2052 alloy, internal friction occurs by the formation of twins in the material under external force. In this paper, the result of experimental modal analysis for obtaining values of natural frequency and damping ratio of M2052 plate is reported. In addition, the development of a large-scale MD simulator for estimating of displacement and velocity of atoms in pure Manganese single crystals under a very low temperature is investigated.departmental bulletin pape

Detecting Nonstationarity using Echo State Network

application/pdf論文(Article)We developed a novel method that detecting nonstationarity in observed time-series. Using reservoir computing approach, which now becomes a popular tool in machine learning field, we estimated cross-prediction errors between different segments of time-series. These errors are considered as a measure of non-similarities between different segments. Then, multidimensional scaling was used to obtain a reduced representation of relational patterns among segments.departmental bulletin pape

Multi-Selection Information Diffusion Game with Revealed Users’ Preferences

    Get PDF
application/pdf論文(Article)In this research, the authors propose an extension to information diffusion game with revealed users’ preferences. An information diffusion game consists of a set of external players (interested parties), and a network of users (vertices). Our approach differs from the literature in two aspects: first, unlike the cancelled-out assumption in Alon et al. (1), each vertex has its own preference regarding the information released by the players, and will take the most preferred one. Second, instead of selecting only one vertex as the seed at the initial stage, the players are allowed for a more general strategy, i.e., multiple selections. Two experimental studies on the existence of pure Nash equilibria with this novel algorithm are conducted by an application called IDG (Information Diffusion Game) simulator, which is developed in Python.departmental bulletin pape

    Illocutionary Force and Head Movement

application/pdf論文(Article)The cartography analysis in syntax has dealt with wide range of syntactic phenomena. The functional categories in the left peripheral area of the cartography have their own discourse function. Force in the left peripheral field activates as force marker. However, this paper shows that Fin in the left peripheral field can operate as force marker and a verb moves up to there due to the force specification. It has been argued that V2 is related to feature specification in C (e.g.+F) and V-to-T movement is dependent on richness of inflection and tense. The framework presented here provides a straightforward account of V1, V2 phenomena in Germanic languages. English shows cyclic demise of V-to-C and V-to-T movement in its history. A set of puzzles concerning the patterns of the phonoma is explained as a consequence of the analysis which admits gradual loss of verb attraction to Fin.departmental bulletin pape

A Search for Optimal Parameters of User’s Voice Using Continuous Evaluation-based Interactive Evolutionary Computation

    Get PDF
application/pdf論文(Article)Interactive Evolutionary Computation (IEC) is an attractive method that searches media contents suited to each user’s preference and feelings. However, shortage of evaluation time caused of human user’s fatigue remains as a severe problem. A previous study proposed Continuous Evaluation-based IEC which makes the continuous evaluation task over several days. This study conducted an experiment for searching parameters of good voice for each user based on the idea of Continuous Evaluation-based IEC. Creation of voice was performed by using a free software UTAU. Experimental results showed successful increase in fitness values.departmental bulletin pape
