application/pdf論文(Article)For any integer n≧3, let G be the maximal planar graph with n vertices and m=3n-6 edges, and,T₁, T₂ and T₃ be any three trees with n-1 vertices and n-2edges each other. In this paper, we consider the following problem: T₁, T₂ and T₃ can be packed into G or not, in the 3≦n≦6 case. As a conclusion,we can obtain that, if 3≦n≦5 then the answer of the problem is “yes,” else the answer is “no.” In this paper, we discuss the detail of our consideration as follows: Let T₁, T₂ and T₃ be some three trees. Then, if T₁, T₂ and T₃ can be packed into G then we show an example of the packing. However, if they cannot be packed into G then we show the reason. Our object of this paper is to develop the teaching method for growing the logical thinking ability of first or second graders of university and junior college students, by using above the consideration.departmental bulletin pape

Development of the Finger-type Wearable Health Screening System - A Study on Measurement of Blood Pressure Using the Real Silent and Non-vibration Running Piezoelectric Air Pump -

    Get PDF
application/pdf論文(Article)The piezoelectric air pump is a thin, compact, real silent, non-vibration, and lightweight. In this study, we developed the blood pressure (BP) monitoring system, based on the finger volume-oscillometric method, using the piezoelectric air pump. Firstly, Pumping characteristics were experimentally investigated. Secondly, the simultaneous BP measurement was performed for one healthy male (age: 22 years old) using the electronic sphygmomanometer and the prototype system. A load pressure over 200mmHg for BP measurement were achieved with an applied voltage of 15 Vpp and a driving frequency of 23.8 kHz ~ 24.2 kHz. The 4.989 mmHg/s pressurizing speed was controllable by the pulse frequency and delay time. Mean blood pressure and systolic blood pressure were achievable in the finger photoplethysmogram with the cuff. Future work will focus on improvement of the control method for the linear load pressure increasing and the calibration pressure sensor for the high accuracy BP measurement. In conclusion, these findings suggest that it is possible to measure BP with real silent and non-vibration using a piezoelectric air pump in the finger.departmental bulletin pape

    Get PDF
福岡工業大学博士(工学)application/pdf学位論文(Thesis)Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are gaining a lot of attention because of their low cost nature that makes them attractive for providing wireless Internet connectivity. A WMN is dynamically self-organized and self-configured, with the nodes in the network automatically establishing and maintaining mesh connectivity among themselves. In WMNs, the mesh node placement is a very important problem. However, this problem is known to be NP-hard. To deal with this problem, new methods, algorithms and systems are needed. In this thesis, we design and implement intelligent and hybrid systems in order to solve the node placement problem in WMNs. We consider a bi-objective optimization in which we first maximize the network connectivity through the maximization of Size of Giant Component (SGC) and then the maximization of the Number of Covered Mesh Clients (NCMC). We evaluate the implemented systems by many simulations. From the evaluation results, we found that the hybrid systems have very good performance for optimizing the node placement in WMNs. This thesis contributes in the research field as following: 1) Implementation of intelligent systems for solving node placement problem in WMNs. 2) Evaluation of various intelligent algorithms based systems for different scenarios. 3) Comparison of implemented intelligent and hybrid systems. 4) Implementation of WMN simulation system using Network Simulator 3. 5) Application of implemented system for WMN node placement problem in a realistic scenario. 6) Give insights about future developments and integration of WMNs as an important technology in wireless communications. This thesis is constructed by 8 Chapters. Chapter 1 presents the background, the motivation and thesis structure. Chapter 2 introduces general aspects of wireless networks. Also, Wireless Sensor and Actor Networks (WSANs) and Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are explained as a related work to this thesis. In Chapter 3, we explain about the node classification in WMNs and routing protocols for WMNs. In addition, we define the Node Placement Problem in WMNs. In Chapter 4 are discussed intelligent algorithms such as Hill Climbing (HC), Simulated Annealing (SA), Tabu Search (TS), Genetic Algorithm (GA), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). We present in details the PSO algorithm in Chapter 5. The implemented intelligent and hybrid systems are presented in Chapter 6. Chapter 7 shows the evaluation and comparison of implemented systems by conducting simulations and application for a realistic scenario. In Chapter 8, we give some concluding remarks and future work.doctoral thesi

Verification of Regional Legislative Reform Focusing on Citizens’ Participation

application/pdf論文(Article)This paper reveals that legislative reforms have intensified both the actual requests and petitions aimed at decision-makers, and the communication supported by the legislative body with residence. Legislative reforms are spreading in Japan based on the situation within the prefectures, and bring about positive results encouraging citizen’s participation. Local legislative reforms should be advanced based on the awareness that these are means and not the goal. Local legislatures, as representative bodies, are expected to form better decentralization in cooperation with their residents.departmental bulletin pape

In the recent years, the intelligibility and satisfaction of students’ evaluation is decreasing every year slightly. In this paper, we discuss the factors and the visualization of educational materials and statistical data as the measure. Especially, we discuss the visualizations of mean, median, mode, variance, standard deviation and correlation coefficient, and discuss the programming for the visualizations. Furthermore, we also consider the relation between the strength of the correlation and the correlation coefficient in this paper.departmental bulletin pape

Hall Measurements with a Permanent Magnet for Semiconductor Two-Dimensional Electron Systems

    Get PDF
application/pdf論文(Article)Hall measurement is useful to investigate basic electronic properties of semiconductor wafers. Since the invention of the strong permanent magnets, Hall measurement systems using permanent magnets have been commercially available. However, these systems include too many functions and therefore are too expensive for single laboratory use. We propose here a very simple Hall measurement system with a neodymium permanent magnet at low cost. Using this system, electron density and mobility in a Si-doped AlGaAs/GaAs single heterostructure were measured. Obtained results are comparable to those found by using the commercially available system.24345725departmental bulletin pape

application/pdf論文(Article)In this research, we verify the effectiveness of Kansei retrieval agent model with fuzzy reasoning on long term use of general people. The Kansei retrieval agent model imitates the sensitivity of each user by optimization of fuzzy reasoning parameters. Previous studies have verified optimization of fuzzy rules of fuzzy inference and learned user evaluation criteria. Therefore, in this research, considering long-term use of this system, we verify the optimization performance of the Kansei retrieval agent model when many data are presented to users by numerical simulation. As a result, it is shown that the proposed method is effective from the viewpoint of user evaluation criteria learning.departmental bulletin pape

Development of the Smart Ear Monitor System - Development of an Earphone-type High Sensitivity Green Light Photoplethysmogram Measurement System for Heart Rate Monitoring in the Ear -

    Get PDF
application/pdf論文(Article)The aim of this study is to compare the heart rate (HR) derived from electrocardiogram (ECG) with the pulse rate (PR) derived from the green light ear photo-plethysmogram (PPG) using an earphone. We developed a compact device that the PPG sensor comprising a green LED and phototransistor was embedded in the earphone. The weight of device was 8.8 g. In 10 subjects, simultaneous measurements of ECG, and green light (525 nm) PPG from the front of tragus were made at the following treadmill speeds: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 km/h. During walking (2, 4 km/h), the results showed that the PR derived from the green light PPG from the ear significantly related to HR derived from ECG (r = 0.98). In addition, the limit of agreement in Bland-Altman plots between these indices were ± 3.95 (1.96 SD) bpm. In conclusion, these findings suggest that the green light ear PPG using earphone might be practical measurement for monitoring HR during walking.24345725departmental bulletin pape
