Evaluation of Spheroid Morphological Characteristics Using the Image Density
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)Our research group has established a technique to make three-dimensional cell constructs using only cells. The cell constructs are made using spheroids consisting of only cells. The quality of the spheroids is important as it is necessary to provide reproducible spheroids. Therefore, it is necessary to morphologically evaluate spheroids non-invasively. The quality of spheroids was evaluated regarding area, diameter, and circularity. However, the concentration distribution of the spheroids had not previously been visualized. This study aimed to visualize the cell distribution inside spheroids using pseudo-color display processing. By applying pseudo-color processing to the grayscale spheroid images, we succeeded in visually grasping cell distribution and shape. In the future, we will actually observe inside the spheroid and aim to further improve the accuracy by correlating with the specific conditions.departmental bulletin pape
The Relationship between Fundamental Baseball Batting Ability and Fastball Hitting Accuracy
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)The purpose of this study is to discern the relationship between spatial accuracy, timing accuracy, and bat control and hitting accuracy for elite collegiate baseball batters. Nine college baseball batters performed three tasks. The first task was hitting a fastball thrown by a pitching machine (HPT). The second task was observing a pitching machine’s fastball and indicating the location (OPT). The third task was hitting a ball on a baseball tee (TBT). The subjects’ performance in hitting accuracy was defined by their success rate in the HPT. The distribution of the point of ball-bat impact in the TBT represented the subjects’ ability in the bat control. The fluctuations in the location in pitcher-to-catcher direction between the HPT and the TBT represented the subjects’ temporal accuracy. The subjects’ spatial accuracy was defined by their performance in the OPT. Although they were able to control their bat swings to hit a ball within the effective impact area most of the time in the Tee Ball Task, timing and spatial components of their performance indicated larger errors and lower precision. Our results suggest that the perceptual skills involved in baseball hitting are the main reason why batters fail to hit a ball accurately.departmental bulletin pape

Real Time Monitoring of Dissolve Oxygen at a Vicinity of Aquatic Plants
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)Recently we developed a novel optical detection system that allowed real-time in-situ simultaneous monitoring of dissolved oxygen and materials movements at a vicinity of micrometers from an aquatic plant by combining deflection of a probe beam and fluorescence quenching. In the detection system, dissolved oxygen (DO)-quenched fluorescence was monitored, and then DO concentration was calculated from the DO-quenched fluorescence intensity by an algorithm based on fitting calculations of quadric equations in software of Origin. Here, an improved algorithm based on fitting calculations of cubic equations in the most widely used Microsoft Excel was proposed. The algorithm contained Excel macros of adjusting monitoring time between DO and temperature sensor software and digital multimeter controlling software, deleting large noise of fluorescence intensity monitoring, and fitting calculation of cubic equations. Also, fixing aquatic plants was improved. Results showed that the algorithm in the Microsoft Excel gave good results for monitoring of DO at vicinities of aquatic plants.departmental bulletin pape
Evaluation of Mackerel Mucus Components as Cosmetic Ingredients
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)There was a case report that some symptoms such as atopic dermatitis such as rough hands and itching of people who have been handling many Mackerels for a long time have improved. Mucus component of Mackerel might include active ingredient to be able to improve rough skin or atopic dermatitis. If effective active ingredients are found, the novel substance might be applicable as a cosmetic or pharmaceutical ingredient. In this study, amino acids component of Mackerel’s mucus was analyzed by Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography and was evaluated the antioxidant activity in vitro. The sample was prepared farmed and natural Mackerels in each analysis. Low molecular fraction of farmed Mackerels showed high antioxidant activity.departmental bulletin pape

The author conducted an environmental survey of Orono- Island.The research was ecology investigations for wild birds and endangered plant species. The studies developed from these research lead to some unknown history of Orono-Island. It was relationship between Kuroda domain and Orono-Island.
The second conclusion is that Onogoro-Island was Orono-Island. Onogoro-Island was the first land created by the creation gods which first appeared in Japanese mythology. Because the birou(Livistona chinensis) used by the ancient emperor for the ritual were on Orono-Island. It was thought to be related to solar rituals and the distribution of native birou (Livistona chinensis) around Kyushu-Island. In addition, The place name and shrine of Kyushu Island which comes out in the myth were also related to Orono-Island.
Further, conclusions of first one and second one must were correlated. Kuroda Narikiyo visited Orono-Island because he thought that Orono-Island was Onogoro-Island of the Japanese myth, and so he wanted brought back a characteristic plant.departmental bulletin pape
The Significance of a Modified Cartography through Investigation of the Demise of Kakari-musubi in Japanese

Force in the left peripheral field activates as a force marker. However, this paper shows that Fin in the left peripheral field can operate as a force marker and a verb moves up to there due to inheritance of [＋attract] feature from Force to Fin. The framework presented here provides a straightforward account of V1, V2 phenomena in Germanic languages. English shows cyclic demise of V-to-C and V-to-T movement in its history. A set of puzzles concerning the patterns of the phenomena is explained as a consequence of the analysis which admits gradual demise of verb attraction to Fin. Furthermore, this paper addresses the possibility of occurrence of MoodP between ForceP and FinP in the right periphery of clauses as well as in the left periphery of them. MoodP bears the function of speaker’s mood of utterance and interacts with Force in attracting verbs to Fin. The demise of Kakari-musubi in Japanese is closely related to the loss of verb movement to Fin.departmental bulletin pape
