Development of Integrated Science Teaching Materials on Energy and Environment Themes to Improve Reading Literacy and Numerical Ability
Integrated science learning is expected to be able to prepare students to have 21st century skills, especially literacy skills needed to meet the needs of these students. This research is motivated by the limited number of science teaching materials that are presented in an integrated manner with the theme of Energy and Environment. This study aims to test the feasibility of integrated science teaching materials for seventh grade junior high school students using the ADDIE method. This research was conducted in a private junior high school in Bandung. The instruments used are quality tests and tests of understanding of teaching materials. The validator tested the quality of teaching materials on 2 expert lecturers and 10 junior high school science teachers and the test of understanding the main ideas of the discourse was given to 26 students. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results of data analysis showed that the results of the quality test of teaching materials were 83.51% in the very feasible category and the results of the comprehension test of the main ideas of the discourse obtained 72.17% in the high category. The average quality test and understanding test obtained 77.84%. From this research, it can be concluded that the integrated science teaching materials are appropriate to be used as independent teaching materials that equip reading literacy skills and numeracy skills. Developing HOTS Instruments: Is It Difficult for Physics Teachers?
This study aims to identify the difficulties of physics teachers in making High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).This research is phenomenological qualitative research. Data was collected through interviews, tests followed by FGD. The participants of this study were 33 physics teachers. The data were analysed using Bogdan and Biklen with reduction stages, looking for relationships between themes and conclusions. The results showed that the teacher was very familiar with HOTS. Overall, the teacher has understood the importance of HOTS and the learning process for teaching HOTS to students. But the thing that became the teacher's obstacle was assessing HOTS through an instrument that measures HOTS. If traced to the teacher's difficulties very sequential, start planning, constructing problem questions, making stimulus, combining concepts/formulas in physics, to the validation stage. Keywords: developing instruments, physics teachers' difficulty, HOTS.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1802-182

Test instruments was implied in this research and analyzed using statistics with N-gain data. The results showed that problem-based learning teaching materials for chemistry education students were categorized as very effective with a high level of N-gainKeywords: chemistry textbooks, problem-based learning, chemistry learning outcomes.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1376-138
The Impact of 3D Geometry Assisted 6E Instructional Model to Improve 3D Geometry Thinking Skills of Junior High School Students
This study aims to reveal the impact of the 6E Instructional 3D geometry model (6E I3DGM) design in improving students' 3D geometric thinking skills. The approach in this study uses a mixed approach. The reason for choosing this approach is that researchers want to get a more comprehensive understanding of this research problem. In this study, the participants involved in this study were (1) junior high school mathematics teachers; (2) grade VIII junior high school students in one of the public junior high schools in Indramayu Regency. In addition, there are three methods of collecting data in this study, namely observation, documentation, tests, which were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis using Miles and Huberman (2014) modification consists of data collection, data reduction (data reduction), data display (data display), and conclusion drawing (verification). The statistical test used in this study used an independent t-test. The results of this study conclude that the 6E I3DGM design can improve students' 3D geometric thinking skills. This is because students (1) can activate students' prior knowledge; (2) can relate previous knowledge with prior knowledge; (3) can explore 3D geometry problems; (4) can facilitate the process of constructing new concepts of 3D geometry into students' memory; (5) able to elaborate 3D geometry knowledge acquired in other contexts; (6) can evaluate the acquired knowledge in order that the 3D geometry knowledge possessed by students is stored in cognitive structures for a long period of time. Keywords: 6E instructional 3D geometry model, 3D geometry thinking skills, junior high school students.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp45-5
Strategies to Minimize Students’ Learning Obstacle in Fractions: A Grounded Theory
Fractions are a fundamental mathematical concept that is quite important for life. However, the existing facts prove that fraction concepts in mathematics are a problem that has become a learning obstacle for students in schools. Therefore, this study aims to find alternative strategies to minimize the learning obstacle. The researcher then used a grounded theory design to find this strategy. Researchers also combined research design with phenomenology to find the core categories. Researchers used systematic analysis (open, axial, and selective), combined with thematic analysis with NVivo-12. The analysis results revealed that ontogenic in the form of participants were unable to simplify, determine equivalent fractions, and carelessness was the most significant learning obstacle. The strategy obtained was the use of a didactic design based on a didactical situation in collaboration with didactical design research, which would minimize student learning barriers on fractions. Keywords: fractions, learning obstacle, grounded theory, phenomenology, didactical situation.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp87-9
Development of STEM-Based e-Worksheets to Improve Creative Thinking Ability on the Topics of Angles
This research aims to develop e-worksheet learning media with a STEM approach to improve junior high school students' creative thinking skills. This research is a development research using the ADDIE model. This research was conducted at 6 Catholic private junior high schools in seventh grade. The results of this study are e-worksheets that are made to meet valid, practical, and effective aspect categories. Valid aspects are obtained through the assessment of material experts and media experts with values of 77 and 63.5 and fall into the very good and good categories. The practicality aspect was obtained through small-scale tests and large-scale tests with values of 80.17 and 75.83 and were in the good category for both. The effectiveness aspect is obtained through the results of the effectiveness test which includes paired sample ttest, one sample t-test, and mean different test. Based on the paired sample t-test for the experimental class and the control class, the results showed that there was an increase in scores before using the e-worksheet and after using the e-worksheet. Based on the one sample t-test, it was found that there was an increase in students' creative thinking abilities by using eworksheets. The conclusion of this study is that e-worksheets with the STEM approach are effective for improving junior high school students' creative thinking abilities. Development of Teacher-Centered Learning Model with Prophetic Values
In practice, the blended learning method still applies the Teacher Centered Learning (TCL) model because teachers have a role to control the learning condition remains conducive. This research aims to develop a Teacher Centered Learning model through prophetic integration in blended learning. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 14 Bekasi and SMA Negeri 17 Bekasi with Research and Development method. The results showed that the average value of the usefulness of the TCL model was 82.48% (good) with the results of Shidiq (not imitating answers, not copying others work, daring to provide accurate information, and daring to give arguments) and Amanah (doing tasks well, playing an active role, and doing something that is ordered). Thus, the development of the Teacher Centered Learning model is feasible to apply in blended learning teaching. Keywords: teacher-centered learning model, prophetic values, research and development.
