Development of REACT-Based E-Module to Improve Students' Scientific Literacy Ability in Buffer Solution
The buffer solution e-module based on the REACT strategy (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Collaborating, Transferring) has been developed and analysed for its validity and practicality levels to assist the learning process of students to train students' scientific literacy skills. This research belongs to the type of EDR (Educational Design). Research) with the Plomp model. The research tools used were interview forms, validity questionnaires, and practicality. This e-module has been verified by six expert reviews, and 9 students became research subjects in this development research. Data were analysed using Aikens'V formula, and practicality percentage. Analysis of the validity of the questionnaire data showed an Aikens' V average score of 0.89 (for construct validity). Analysis of the practicality questionnaire data showed an average score of 83% and 83% (for small groups and field practice tests). Data analysis shows that the e-module has a high level of validity and practicality. Therefore, it can be concluded that the buffer solution e-module teaching material based on the REACT strategy is valid and practical so that it is feasible to use it in learning to train students' scientific literacy skills. Project-Based Learning and Problem-Based Learning in Improving Climate Change Literacy of Junior High School Students in Disaster-Prone Areas
Climate change literacy must continue to be taught from an early age to students in the city of Kupang related to the impacts of climate change that occur, namely the tropical cyclone and the reduction of the coastline. This study aims to increase knowledge and beliefs about climate change that is currently happening so that students can take real action and have a positive impact on the environment where they live and the wider area. Learning by involving related networks, namely the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and experience-based learning using the Project Based Learning (Experimental Class) and Problem Based Learning (Control Class) methods can improve climate change literacy for class VII students (n = 60 people) in SMP Negeri 8 Kupang. The research was designed using a quasi experimental method. Research instruments in the form of questions and questionnaires were used to collect data about students' knowledge and beliefs about climate change. Development of Statistics Learning Worksheets Based on Realistic Mathematics Education for Junior High School Students
The purpose of this study was to develop valid, practical, and effective statistics learning worksheets based on realistic mathematics for eighth grader of junior high school. This development research uses a 4D development model with stages: definition, design, development, and deployment. The subjects of this research trial were the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu City, as many as 27 people. The research instrument consisted of product validity sheets, practicality sheets, and student learning outcomes tests. The data analysis consisted of validity analysis using Aiken's V index, rater agreement test, and N-gain test. This study resulted in realistic mathematics education-based student worksheet for statistical material for class VIII SMPN that met the following criteria: (1) Valid with an average Aiken's V index score of 0.86 in the high category and the results of the agreement test between raters with an intraclass correlation coefficient score of 0.99 categories. Very good. (2) Very practical in terms of the average practicality score of students of 81.51%. (3) Effective from the N-gain score of 0.72 high categories with classical completeness reaching 81.48%. Using Non-Traditional Writing Task Strategy to Improve Cognitive Concept Mastery in Learning Science and Identify Self- Regulated Learning Ability
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of writing task nontraditional strategies in improving students ' Concept mastery and to identify students' selfregulated learning profiles. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with theresearch design Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were allstudents of class VIII at a junior high school in Bandung. The sample in this study consisted of64 students of class VIII at a junior high school in Bandung who were selected using apurposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were mastery of studentconcept tests and self-regulated learning questionnaires. The result of analysis using thepercentage of gain normalized showed that the strategy of writing task non-traditional was moreeffective in improving the mastery of student concepts. The result of descriptive analysis toobtain the self-regulated learning profile of students showed that in the experimental class andcontrol class were mostly in the moderate category. The relationship between mastery of studentconcepts and self-regulated learning profiles based on the results of the correlation test analysisclassified as low criteria. Creativity in Project Based Learning: A Systematic Literature Study (2015-2021)
Character education has always been the focus of attention in the world of education in Indonesia. Creativity as an important form of character must really be measured with the right assessment instrument. Project Based Learning is a learning model that is able to explore the creativity of students. In this paper, a meta-review is conducted on the instruments for assessing student creativity in project-based learning on studies published in journals indexed by the Scopus database in 2011-2021. The results of this study show that the assessment of students' creativity in project-based learning by utilizing local wisdom has been widely carried out but has not found an assessment that focuses on all dimensions of creativity. In each PjBL syntax an assessment can be made, by adjusting the syntax to the creativity dimension which includes the dimensions of press, process, person, and product, but based on the results of the review there are no articles related to the implementation of PjBL based on local wisdom on the assessment of students' creativity, so the learning assessment only focuses on in the final condition does not include the learning process. Students’ Creative Thinking Skills on Green Chemistry by Designing Fire Reterdant Bamboo
This study aims to reveal students' creative thinking skills through the implementation of fire-retardant bamboo learning designs using ionic liquids that integrate chemical bonding materials and polymers. This research method is qualitative research. The research was conducted in class XII of SMA N Cibinong for two meetings with 36 students. The instruments used were observation sheets and video-audio recordings. The data obtained was analyzed using the transcript based lesson analysis method to determine the profile of students' creative thinking abilities. The creative thinking indicators used are five creative thinking indicators according to Munandar (1992). The percentage of indicators of creative thinking skills that appear the most in the first and second meetings is the indicator of fluency as much as 60.1% in the first meeting and as much as 62.1%. While the indicator with the least percentage of appearances at the first and second meetings is the originality indicator of 3.2% at the first meeting and as much as 0.1% at the second meeting learning activities. The Effect of Microsoft Whiteboard-Assisted Environmental Mathematics towards Environmental Care Attitudes of Pre-Service Elementary School Teachers
The low concern for the environment after the pandemic period which gradually ended, especially when learning in Higher Education has been carried out face-to-face. There are indications of an increasing amount of litter and an acute sense of indifference. This study determines the influence and effectiveness of the application of Microsoft whiteboard-assisted environmental mathematics on students' environmental care attitudes. The research population is pre-service elementary school teachers in semester 4 who took part in geometry and measurement courses in elementary schools and the research sample was 69 pre-service elementary school teachers in semester 4 in the course with a simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques use environmental care questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses paired sample t test and N-gain. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the value of t count = 10.197 > t table = 2.201, so there is an influence of the influence of the application of Microsoft whiteboard assisted environmental mathematics on students' environmental care attitudes and an N-gain value of 56% is got, so the application of Microsoft whiteboard-assisted environmental mathematics is quite effective in improving student environmental care attitudes. MoIP-ST: An Instrument to Measure Students’ Problem Solving Skills on Momentum and Impulse
This research aims to develop the MoIP-ST (Momentum and Impulse ProblemSolving Test) instrument to measure students' problem-solving abilities according to the stages of problem-solving skills. The research method used is 4). The research participants were 64 students, consisting of 32 rural and 32 urban 10th-grade students in East Java, who were randomly selected. The first analysis is a multi-rater Rasch measurement based on the results of expert validation, which indicates that item I1 needs improvement. The second analysis is the analysis of the MoIP-ST instrument using the Rasch model, which shows that overall the items on the MoIP-ST are valid and reliable with a Cronbach Alpha of 0.87. The third analysis is the use of the MoIP-ST, which shows that the problem-solving ability of rural students is lower than that of urban students. Student problem-solving needs to be improved through models, methods, learning models, and teaching materials that support problem-solving.Keywords: test instrument, problem solving skills, physics learning
Analysis of Students' Errors in Solving Statistical Problems: A Case of 8th Grade Students at SMPN 4 Siak Hulu, Indonesia
The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the mistakes made by students when working on math problems in statistics material. This research was conducted in class VIII SMPN 4 Siak Hulu, with 10 students as research subjects. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques are using tests, and unstructured interviews. The results showed that: 1) there were 4 types of errors, namely conceptual errors by 30%, fact errors by 4%, procedural errors by 14%, and technical errors by 10%; 2) there are 5 indicators discussed related to statistical material, namely indicator 1 (Determining the average value of a data), indicator 2 (Analyzing data), indicator 3 (Determining the median of even data), indicator 4 (Determining the mode value of a data), indicator 5 (Determining the values of the first, second and third quartiles in group data). In the fifth indicator, only 3 out of 10 students were able to answer correctly or 30%, this is the indicator with the lowest percentage of the five indicators; 3) the cause of student errors is the lack of student understanding of the prerequisite material for that solution in order to overcome similar errors, namely by always checking student understanding regarding prerequisite material before starting the lesson and choosing appropriate learning methods and strategies so that students can easily understand the material being taught.. Development of Mathematical Reasoning Tests Based on Minimum Competency Assessments with Bengkulu Contexts
The achievement of high school graduates' competence is continuously improved by the government in Indonesia, one of which is by implementing the Minimum Competence Assessment. The main problem in its application is the limitations of similar problem models provided in classroom learning so that students are not accustomed to solving them. The purpose of this research is to produce mathematical reasoning questions using the Minimum Competence Assessment model for junior high school students that are valid, reliable, and have a potential impact. This research is development research with two stages of developing Tessmer’s model, namely: (1) Preliminary and (2) formative evaluation stage, which consists of self-evaluation, prototyping (expert reviews and small group), and field tests. The trial subjects of this study were 25 students of class VIII Bengkulu state junior high school 7 in Bengkulu City. The results of the study obtained questions that met valid criteria with an Aiken index each of which was more than 0.5. The questions meet reliable criteria with a count of more than 0.6 and are in the high category. The questions have a potential impact with sufficient students' selection abilities on average and students giving a good response of more than 50.00%.
